I've given Peter Vardy a 3 out of 5, this is 4 for the sales guy Eliott and 2 for the CarStore. I went to the garage with the intention of just looking but it all got out of hand very quickly and before I knew it I'd paid a deposit for a car I hadn't seen and signed a contract before the car they'd found for me on the system could be brought over from Fife. The original car I went to see on the website wasn't there; the website doesn't match their stock. The sales guy was very good though I felt pressured to buy the Platinum Protection and GAP insurance, something I wouldn't have done in hindsight as the protection is 10x the retail cost and the GAP insurance 4x the actual cost if you look online. To be fair the sales guy was only doing his job, the fault lies with Peter Vardy's policy of selling highly marked up products to the consumer. When I saw the car I thought it was fantastic and went for a test drive and pointed out a couple of scratches, which they said would be looked at. After I'd gone back to pick it up I didn't feel the platinum protection had been applied (though they assured me it had and they offered to re-apply it) as the car was dusty and the scotch guard inside definitely hadn't been done. Also only one of the scratches had been looked at and they'd used the wrong colour for it; it looked liked they'd picked off the paint around it with their nails then applied a different color to it - the after-sales girl said they'd mixed up a colour as close to the original as they could find - she clearly was guessing as she had no idea what they'd done! I found a number of issues with the car and Elliott was very helpful in trying to get them resolved through their team but given the bodge their mechanics had done with the paint scratch I decided to do the fixes myself and ordered the official colour from Ford. I also couldn't afford to take a day off work to take the car in - their mechanics don't work on Saturdays. I was offered the possibility of a courtesy car but that wouldn't have been available till mid-June. Overall I'd say I'd buy from Elliot again as he was good at his job but I wouldn't buy from Peter Vardy as I don't like the hard-sell of expensive additional services and I wouldn't trust their repair guys to fix issues with the car.

Although first thought my experience of company was good, they didn't do follow up call when I has having problem with car and have had daily nuisance calls from a 3rd party company they have shared my ex-directory number with, despite assuring me they were only asking my details for Peter Vardy only !! Be careful if you go here not what it appears to be.

I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN IT AGAIN I FEEL I WAS PLAYED A FOOL WHEN I PURCHASED PLATINUM PROTECTION THE SALESMAN TOLD ME IF I CHANGED MY CAR WITH IT I WOULD GET THE MONEY OFF MY NEXT EXCHANGE. HE SAID THE ASTRA WHICH I TRADED IN DID,NT HAVE IT BUT WHEN I GOT HOME AND CHECKED OLD PAPERWORK IT CLEARLY DID. I RAISED THIS POINT ON HAND OVER DAY AND A GUY CAME OUT WITH A BIT OF PAPER WITH PLAT SCRIBBLED ON IT WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN ANYTHING. AS MY PARTNER WAS IN HOSPITAL WITH CANCER I DID.NT HAVE THE TIME OR ENERGY TO ARGUE ON ARRIVING HOME I WAS SHOWING CAR TO MY NEIGHBOUR WHEN HE POINTED OUT THAT FRONT BADGE WAS CRACKED I PHONED A FEW TIMES GOT NO REPLY AND AM NOW REPAIRING IT MYSELF AT A COST OF 180 POUNDS APART FROM THE HAND OVER GIRL THIS IS MY LAST TIME DEALING WITH VARDY I SUGGEST YOU CHECK YOUR CCTV CAMERAS AND THE DAMAGE WAS DONE TO MY CAR BETWEEN SALE AGREEMENT AND COLLECTION I ONLY WISH THAT I HAD WENT NEXT DOOR TO ARNOLD CLARK

Fantastic car Very poor Customer Services - During test drive three faults were highlighted to the sales woman which she claimed she had taken a note off. Not one of the three issues was resolved when I collected the vehicle. I will have to bring the vehicle back because of the squeaky brakes. £7000 was displayed on vehicle and by the time I sat down with the sales woman that became close to £8000 due to extras. Paid cash not discount given or No MATS, FUEL or ROAD TAX. If the car was £100 more in price and came with a full tank of fuel and mats this would have made a such a big difference. Went to collect car and the sales woman ignored conversation I had started with her and was asked by her to take a seat. The Business Manager started conversation with me also and walked away during conversation. It took over an hour from moment I arrived at dealership to time I was driving out after completing the simple paperwork. To be handed two £50 vouchers if I got someone else to buy a car from Peter Vardy was joke. Then to received a voucher for a free photo shoot to then be told it was a con to get you to buy extra photo's what can I say. The sales woman them telephoned five times looking for this review she claimed she required for her bonus. Then to be asked if i was giving her a VERY GOOD review was not on. For a manager to put pressure on a sale woman for a review is out of order. I tell family and friends about the fantastic show room at Peter Vardy, Hillington and the great selection of cars on display. However I also make them aware of the poor customer service once they know you want to buy a vehicle. You are no longer a customer but a bonus in there pay packet. I am simply being honest about my experience of buying a car from Peter Vardy. I trust Peter Vardy will read this review take on board some of my points.

On the online description of car it said the car was fitted with Bluetooth, on the video I was sent by salesman it also said it had Bluetooth, once I picked the car up I realised the Bluetooth was not activated, I came back in for a technician to look at it & I was informed that I would have to take it to Audi at a cost of £400 - £500, extremely disappointed and actually feel like handing the car back as this was one feature that I require as I am driving long distances every day.

first of all can i just say i take great pride in my cars and i am very particular about my cars . i payed just under 10,000 pounds for my car from peter vardy witch to me is a lot of money . everything was good up to the point of pick up , 3 hours before i was to pick up my car i was called to say that the car was not ready as there had been some damage to the rear bumper and it was not repaired to the required standard , so could i pick it up the next day , this was disappointing as i was really looking forward to picking up my new car . next day when i went to pick the car up i payed particular attention to the rear bumper and noticed it was not fitted right, also car mats were very wet and when i took the car on moterway it was juddering because the wheels had not been balanced properly . so i payed to have the wheels balanced myself as i needed to use the car right away . i put the car back in to peter vardy to properly fit the bumper but they gave me it back same way not fitted right , i took the car to a local body shop and they said yes the bumper had not been fitted properly so all this has left me very frustrated and let down by the peter vardy experience .

We gave your company a great review on the 28th of July and explained that we still not received our £150.00 worth of holiday vouchers we were told that day that we would receive them within the week this is now the 21st of August and we still have not received them that is very poor customer service and I would like to change my review of this company very unhappy customers Robert + Theresa Dalziel

First meeting was brilliant. We were treated like royalty and the deal that was done was a great deal. However this was not to continue. The deal we shook on was not the deal we got. The car we got that was supposed to have a multi point check done obv had a few points missed. I got coolant lights on and oil health lights on and the shake from the front when going above 60 is unbearable!! Offered a years road tax!!! No I got 6 month. Very disappointed and I will not be back.

Car broke down one day after I collected it after sales service shocking car has a hole in exhaust which has been sealed allegedly. Exhaust still blowing only had the car for 2 weeks want my money back . very angry .

To be honest this review is only reflects bad on the after sales which is in need of a major review by the owners of the company the first part was brilliant the sales and the hand over I could not be any more happy with how good it went James from sales I would give him 5 out of 5 and Colin from hand over 5out of 5 now on to the after sales I received the car on Tuesday started to make an unusual. Noise as I was driving the car home took the car back on Thursday and was told it will be 2 weeks before i could get a courtesy car which is shocking for a company this large and then I said to them what if the car brakes down and the reply was well you are covered by our brake down service which is 911 I asked do you have a direct number the reply was no phone us first and we will send them round I don't know what time the service dep is open too or do the have someone on the phone 24/7 was not told this would like more info so pretty much annoyed (and that's a politel way of saying how I feel about the after care at this moment) Got a call from James about this review could I not give it 5* the original was a 3 and I was promised a full tank of fuel and My car would be very clean when I would receive it after repair so I sold out but no very clean car or full tank of fuel emerged from it just goes to show they want your cash and a 5* rating to go with it 17/4/2015 called about the car having some problems so they told me they don't have any space for it for three weeks and longer if I wanted a courtesy car again the following week I tried out the a/c for the first time surprise surprise it did not work called to inform them and they then turn told me bring it in on Monday??????? So brought the car in they worked on it called on Tuesday and was told I would get a called back for three o'clock to see if the car is to be collected no call till 16:10 the car was not ready the a/c had to be changed but there was a fault with there recharging equipment so then I was asked if I could get my car get a quote from quick fit to recharge it then go back to them and they will give me the cash to get it done in all words emm why do I need to do that the next morning they phoned me to tell me that the car was in a quick fit garage getting the a/c unit recharge fed up with the customer service it is absolutely abysmal it absurd asking customers to do there work for them

Spent 20k on a car and have yet to receive a phone call with regards to my 2nd key which you failed to give me,also paid for mats that I didn't ask for and £33 for fuel is a joke,I took the car for a test drive and noticed the miles left in tank,i was lucky to get £10 fuel,also paid for a service plan that I was told at 1st was being added free of charge"the deal breaker"was the words used by salesman,I took my son to arnold Clark for his new car last week,will not be back to peter vardy and if I don't receive my key within 5 working days my cousin Jane Barrie who reports in the judge in the Sunday mail will take it up with you and hopefully print for all to see,all in all I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth thanks to peter vardy

Unfortunately almost immediately the car I purchased started clunking and clanking on start up I contacted reg vary and have been advised to take car to ford as it is still under manufacturers warranty what started as a dream for working class man like myself is slowly turning out to be a nightmare I have. Contacted customer services at vary and am hoping issues can be resolved but will have to wait and see a very disappointed customer

Excellent service . The best experience I have had when buying a car. All staff seemed really keen to help me in any way they could. I was going to go to Arnold Clarke but I'm glad I didn't their sales staff are slimy and will tell you anything for a sale and if you have a problem after you buy the car they don't want to know which is exactly the opposite of your staff. Well done all.
