Booking ref 9974107. I booked my car for it's MOT through their website. The mechanic sent his friend to collect the car an hour late. The next thing I know is that things kept changing and costs being added. The mechanic says that the car's failed on emissions then this changed and he added the costs onto his labour, then further outrages costs on new brakes . Then my car's clutch went as the mechanic was returning the car to me having passed it's MOT. Mechanic recovered it back to his garage . All the while charging my card through the Click Mechanic website. The mechanic returns the car a week later. A mechanic on the website admits I've been overcharged for everything . The mechanic who worked in my car tells Click Mechanic where to go. I have been charged over £1000 for what was at most a £200 job. Of course , ClickMechanics excuse is that they are just a portal and don't want to know anything. Case closed. ClickMechanic can't just wash their hands by saying that they're just a portal. If you accept dodgy mechanics on your website make sure you pay out when they rip off your customers.

Dreadful mechanic, rushed through oil change etc to get the job done quick, didn’t even bother to flush the oil system, next day driving to work the underneath cover fell off the car onto the Ground creating sparks on the road, the click mechanic never put it back on properly, it’s an absolute ripoff, go to a good garage and pay a bit extra, which will be money well spent, as money spent with click mechanic is wasted money

Ordered full brake disc's and pads service, I was told that mechanic use OE parts brembo or borch. Work was done, after few weeks squeaking sound came from brakes, inspected brakes disc's and pads, and fitted wrong parts diferend brand that is cheap quality. Not recommend to use this service. Mechanic was Neil from Colgans Car care And Commercial Vehicle Repairs in King's Lynn

Avoid this terrible company. I made a booking for work to be done on priority and it was all accepted and they took my card details yesterday. I awoke this morning to find my job had been 'Cancelled'. I called @9am as they opened to enquire why they said because I complained in 2017 about one mechanic. I am now in a different area and wanted to try them again as they aren't the mechanics I am being refused service. Stay away from this atrocious company.

ClickMechanic assured pre booking that the Audi digital records would be updated and would source on that criteria. The Mechanic who carried-out the service advised he does not have access to digitally update the record. My full service has not been recorded as yet. It is nothing to do with the Mechanic. Their Customer Service Team are not now owning the probem. I am repeatedly asking since early February about excalation procures or ability to forward the problem to their regulator for independent resolution. Extremely disappointing approach to abandon the customer's complaint....It appears that they plan to do nothing!!!! I am still waiting....

Save your money and use a company with a good reputation, they failed to report engine oil and gearbox leaks and drifting issues.

Absolute joke. I booked my car in mid December to have a new clutch fitted. It has been failing for a while, but I am an an HCA working for the NHS, and I rely on my little car. Now, I understand that people are off over the holidays, and first availability date was 10th January. I didn’t realise what was wrong with my car until December, when I explained the symptoms. On January 10th, a person came later than arranged and DROVE my car 15 miles, and then phoned back TO ADVISE me he didn’t have the part…..? Was quite aggressive about the state of my clutch… and then told me my 2 front tyres are bald. Erm, no they are fine! He was very rude on the phone when I told him that I managed to order a clutch online. I ordered it from Germany online, and a local mechanic is fitting it for me next week. Please Please avoid at all costs, Click Mechanic are awful. I am also out of pocket with petrol..

Click Mechanic directed me to one option, Stanton Garage Services Burton who knowingly fit a new part into a damaged part or damaged the old part while fitting the new part and didn't tell me, even though i asked about the standard of the repair they were doing. I found out when the MOT failed and it specifically pointed out the repair they had done just 2 days before. Shockingly bad customer service due to a total lack of due dilligence and professional responsibility. I asked direct questions and was met with a wall of disclaimer quoting. They couldn't give a toss! They had a single repair and they had the car for 11 hours the first time then another 28 hours. This was replacing one ball joint. They returned my car with damage to the headlights which they denied. I had my electrics checkeddays before in the run up to my MOT. James Stanton asked me whyi had not got my car repaired? I let him know that is what I was doing by giving it to him! I was forced to ask if they actually were qualified mechanics. They believe they give excellent service!! I am reporting them to Trading standards

I had used Click Mechanic once before on my partner’s car so I was confident it would be fine to use them again, I really wish I hadn’t! I had broken down so I call a recovery driver, turned out my alternator had gone, so I booked in click mechanic, they turned up and then proceeded to tell me I also needed a new battery, I was sceptical, but thought I wasn’t in a position to question as I needed my car fixed, so the work was completed. So a couple of weeks later, I might add I have a work van so I don’t use my car that often, I’m pulling out of a parking space only to see a large pool of oil, so I check and it’s coming from my car, so again I book click mechanic for a diagnostic, only to be told by the attending mechanic that the oil leak was caused by the bad workmanship of the mechanic that fitted the alternator! So I was advised by the attending mechanic to go back to the original mechanic to resolve the problem as his work is covered by a year’s guarantee, so I contacted the original mechanic after a lot of trying to fob me off and pleading his innocence agrees to attend a few days later only the cancel at 11pm the night before he’s supposed to attend with some flimsy excuse, then sends me a message offering to cover the costs to fix, which at the time of the diagnostic appointment was given to me. I was a little annoyed and felt he was very much passing the buck, but needed to get the car fixed, so I booked the same mechanic that did the diagnostic, so he turned up, supposedly did the work only for me to discover the next day it was still leaking and for him to say that he’d fixed the leaking that he had diagnosed so it must be another, even though it’s still in the same place. So I go back to both of these guys expecting some sort of resolution, backwards and forwards for weeks with both of them passing the blame onto the other, so I thought I was time to get click mechanic to intervene, what an absolute waste of time, they were just as bad as the mechanics that attended, they basically couldn’t care less, so I’m left with an unusable car and I paid for the privilege, oh but they did offer me a 10% discount on a diagnostic appointment! I will never use them again, I have never come across such a dishonest and unprofessional company.

They accept the job based on the problem and car then take 3 extra days to do the job to get parts (which cost me over £120 in taxis due to delays). Then return the car with an additional problem which i reported, the "mechanic" then took the car again for a day and didnt resolve the issue. Now going to a proper garage.

You gave a figure of £44 to change my fan belt. Then you said you could not work out what model of car I had although I had told you. Then after another 1o minutes of question and answer you tell me it's £114. You are having a laugh. Then I go to customer service which is totally automated you tell me you have no one to assist me.

Have used CM a few times but this is the last time. Booked an inspection, mechanic cancels. Then zero effort or intent from CM to make it happen. Strongly recommend you don't rely on them for a car purchase inspection. AA basically the same price and will actually follow through.

I have used click mechanic 3 times. My experience is that for basic things like servicing they are ok and competitively priced and reliable. That's how they seem to hook you in. However, on 2 occasions I have asked for a quote for additional work. This results in a diagnostic inspection, which is extra cost. The prices quoted for the repairs have been absurd, in each case 50-100% more than available if shopping around. After having the simple things done like servicing which you are happy with and then having a paid-for diagnostic check there is a feeling of obligation to have the work done in the belief that the price is probably justified. CM clearly takes a huge chunk of money as agents.

I would not recommend Click Mechanic, I requested a quote for a repair but did not actually book anything in, I then got a message to say the mechanic was on his way despite me not authorising the booking, I had to cancel a visit that I never booked and that never took place, I was charged a £40 cancellation fee to cover the costs of the mechanics fuel.
