A number of the items I ordered were apparently out of stock, if that was the case I shouldn't have been able to order them in the first place. Items that weren't available were substituted with similar items but I wasn't asked if that's what I wanted or not. Some of the items I ordered were pre-order so I waited for those to come in before the order was sent so there were almost 2 months where I could have been asked what I wanted to do. That's really poor service.

While some of these items have optional styles available, all options are not always available which is clearly stated in the product description: Please use the selector to choose your desired style. If available, we will ship the selected style. We cannot guarantee availability on all types at any time. If your selection is not available, or no option is selected, we will ship what is available on hand. In this case, mixed Christmas decorations are a real challenge for us as we don't have the resources as a small family business to unpack every mixed box and check the styles we have received. We are looking at ways to improve this as we understand this can be disappointing for our customers. The description of the face size is misleading. It described them as 12.5cm faces . In actual fact the face size is only 10cm The outside metal housing is 12.5cm

The website was the most difficult I have ever used with regard to payment. It took days to actually pay for my clock mechanism and the shipment. I waited about two days just to find out the cost of shipment - something normally calculated at checkout on most websites. Then, after waiting more than a week and the tracking still only saying "despatched" I contacted the seller only to find that it takes about a month to ship a light weight 2" square item from Australia to New Zealand. I would have thought it could go in a mailing bag and get here by regular post in a week or so. This has been at least a three week experience, so far, and I still don't have the mechanism. Thank god I didn't need it in a hurry.

As a small business with limited resources we are still working to implement international shipping prices that are automatically calculated on our website. I apologise as this means that we currently quote the international shipping after the order has been submitted. Typically you would receive a couple of options for postage however in this instance you were only given the cheapest option which is also the slowest. The key sizes vary in 0.25mm increments so it is important to take accurate measurements to get the correct fit. The quartz clock workings item was not size 19mm as shown on packaging, but 16mm. Rang to sort it out, nice lady (that's the 2 stars) said she would forward on. Then nothing. Left for a week and sent message via web site, Still nothing. Gave up and purchased correct item elsewhere. Clock works fine.

I called several times, with the promise of a callback that never happened. I emailed with limited success and finally I contacted you guys through eBay. I eventually got and order underway and delivered. Everyone was polite and when I actually spoke to someone, helpful.

Dear Ben, Thank you for taking time to provide feedback. I understand our staff were polite and helpful however our service did not meet your expectations and I apologise for that. I am unaware of the callback that didn't take place however your follow up email to the phone call, with the required photos to provide parts for the cuckoo clock you purchased from a thrift shop, was acknowleged and a reply was issued on the same day. I was unsure of the compatability of the new parts with the clock you had acquired and took time to investigate this. With your other parts you received a pair of hands for your clock free of charge, all for a total of $12.95 including postage. Your parts were received in WA (sent from QLD) in 11 business days from your initial enquiry. While this might have been longer than what you were expecting, my staff and I work tirelessly to deliver the best service we can in a timely manner. Leading up to Christmas is a busy period and I am pleased that we were able to respond, investigate and deliver your order in such a short time. There is always room for improvement and we will continue to accept feedback and make the necessary changes to provide the best customer experience possible. Thank you for your support. The clock arrived promptly but it was damaged on delivery, packing was intact but the clock arms did not aline, ? due to being dropped or rough handling

Purchased an Aactim alarm clock - with bell as I wanted a tried and tested technology. Staff very helpful in identifying candidates. I was assured clock would be tested prior to posting. Clock arrived, it started to lose time straight away. Used it nonetheless - set alarm for 6am - it rang 20 mins late as it kept losing time. I switched alarm off instead of using snooze: clock stopped working completely. Rang back - told it may be my Eveready long life batteries. So I asked for your Panasonic batteries to be mailed to me . They arrived but clock still dead. Disappointed even further as I now have to incur cost in returning dead clock to you. I already paid delivery on initial purchase. Next clock - I'm buying it from a walk in jewellery store. Not happy Jan.

Sales experience was great. Upon returning to have the band adjusted a few days later (as suggested when I bought it) my husband (I purchased it as present for him) said he felt like his request to adjust the band was a great inconvenience to the staff. They wanted to charge him for the service. They expected him to know how many links he wanted removed (he didn’t know so had a guess). He had told the lady it had been purchased there. Maybe she thought he was lying. I’m really disappointed he was treated like that. It was a big deal to me to spend so much on a watch and I was happy to support a local business. But next time I’ll stick with the local jewellers.

The sale and the delivery was fine but the clock movement I purchased keeps stopping. I thought buying from you instead of ebay would be better quality.

Two of the items were broken and squashed, which was probably the deliverers fault, but perhaps the packaging needs to be better!!!

I made contact with the Clock Shop to ask for advice to ensure I purchased the correct part. The advice I was given was very generic and didn't help at all. I ended up purchasing a clock part for $50 which is not suitable. Waste of money.

Hi Wendy, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We don't provide specific information over the phone for a very good reason. Unless you understand what it is you need, it is very difficult to get all the information required to provide you with the correct movement without having the clock or an existing movement in hand that we can match. As the item is not suitable, you are welcome to return it for an exchange or a refund. If you are replacing an existing movement then you can send your old movement in to assist us with providing you with the correct movement. In your case, I would assume you have long hands and require a high torque movement. So the details of the hands are also required. Are they press fit (push on) or euro fit (slotted hole / fixed with a hand nut)? Otherwise, we have extensive resources including a video and a DIY guide to walk you through each step so you can select the relevant part. Clock movements are not like car parts, where you can find the relevant replacement with a make/model/year scenario. You need to have the product in hand to provide all the relevant information so the correct movement can be selected. If you need more assistance, our guides are available here and they are far more helpful in this format with visual aids as opposed to trying to communicate every step of the process over the phone. I hope this helps you understand a little more about how to choose the correct movement. Unfortunately the two nuts you supplied against order CS00099753 for "Small Hand Nut for Hermle Mechanical Clock” did not fit my Hermle 451-053H because the description on your website did not indicate that they would be unsuitable. In response to my telephone enquiry, I have just now received the subsequent order and am pleased to advise that new the nuts appear to fit perfectly. I understand that you are a small, family owned business and am grateful that you spend your time helping people like myself, however as I have had to pay twice and the original order was only because of your insufficient description, I would have thought you would mention some way of compensating me.

The item you originally purchased does provide all the details required to see if it is suitable, however the specific Hermle movements that the hand nut is suited to are not listed. We will endeavour to find this information to make the description more user-friendly. We currently provide the overall size, the metric thread specification and the pitch of the thread to match the existing hand nut. Sorry Daniel, but I arrived back in Brisbane and realised that the Bering watch I just bought does not work. I have just mailed it back to your shop at my cost hoping that you can replace it for one that works or get it working the way it should.

Unfortunately the Clock we received seemed like a cheap Chinese import instead of a Clock made in Germany! It had four chains hanging from a cheap plastic backing plate that do nothing! Two chains have brass coated cylinders to hang from and two chains just hang! There is very cheap plastic workings at the back of the clock and delivered with one cheap battery! For $470 I would have paid $50 for this so called German made imitation. Good luck. Won’t buy anything from you ever.

I am really sorry that you're not happy with the clock and I have to say that I am a little surprised by your disappointment after receiving your email two weeks ago asking for a quote to source additional weight shells and no mention of your dissatisfaction. The clock is 100% made in Germany and features a combination of brass with an enamel dial, brass weight shells (yes these are shells only as you purchased a battery clock, not a mechanical clock), dummy chains for the weight shells and the plastic housing for the quartz (battery movement). There are mechanical versions of this clock that strike a brass bell on the hour and half hour. Other than the mechanical movement inside, the chains and the weights, this clock is made with the same brass bezel and enamel dial. We have a happiness guarantee that enables customers to return any item they are unhappy with provided they notify us within 7 days of when they received the item.
