Absolute disgrace of a company Ordered a new washing machine and fridge freezer, both turned up damaged... The washing machine was returned with the driver and I was advised a new one would be delivered the next day (today). Having not heard from currys and taken ANOTHER day off work to receive the delivery i've just been advised it will now be delivered on the 30th after ringing them! The fridge freezer was unpacked after the driver left I noticed a long scratch on both sides which is clearly visible. I've now been on the phone to customer support for over an hour, i've never received such poor customer service. Disgrace of a company, go to John Lewis instead!

I emailed Curry's a week ago (emailed because I had pictures to include showing the item they delivered damaged). And one week later, not even a response. I'll now have to spend more time chasing and it takes forever to get through to them on the phone (and the number isn't free either). It's just not worth buying from them unless they're much cheaper than the competition. At least I feel like AO cares when I buy from them.

I honestly wish I had read reviews, as I would have avoided any purchase with Currys! I purchased a washing machine, which was delivered with a fault. After struggling to get hold of the customer service team for 2 days to request an exchange or collection and full refund, I finally received an email to say that they are unable to help and I should contact the manufacturer to arrange a repair. I called the manufacturer who said they would be happy to start proceedings for a repair, but suggested I contact Currys again, as the machine was delivered with a fault. After emailing on numerous occasions with complaints and quotes from their own website, I have yet to hear back a week later. The service is unacceptable and I encourage anyone to avoid them, as it has left me disgusted!

I enquired about the availability of a Sony deck record player. The young lady assistant researched, informed me it was available in the warehouse, and advised me of the returns policy. All with a smile and very polite. Excellent customer service. The young lady even remembered my name when I collected two days later. Well done Currys Crawley.

where is my washing machine? I ordered and paid for it on 29 nov, free delivey arranged sometime during a twelve hour slot between 0700-1900 on 7 dec. Sometime during mid morning on the day I received a phone call from the delivery man advising me that he would be at my address within ten minutes which he duly was. I went out to meet him and to show him where the washer was to be sited and as I was doing so the phone rang, the caller asked to be connected to the delivery men, I passed him the phone as the other delivery man was emerging from the rear of the vehicle stating that my washing machine wasn't on board which was aparently what the phone call was about. The phone was handed back with no one on it to explain anything and the delivery men couldn't leave more quickly saying in reply when asked that they hadn't got any numbers for me to call to find out what had just happened and to make further arrangements, just that redelivery would arrive on friday 9 dec sometime between 0700-1900 hrs. Obviouly this arrangement did not fill me with confidence and so I phoned KNOWHOW at 5p/min to complain and to rearrange a new delivey date. Eventually after a nearly twenty minute wait, I spoke to B** who listened to my complaint and arranged with me for a new delivey for friday 9 dec between 0700-1100. I asked him to confirm this date with deliveries as I couldn't afford to neglect work for nothing, he came back to me about five minutes later to assure me that it was arranged. At 1058 on Friday 9 dec I received a call from N*** at the delivery centre Birmingham saying they hadn't received my washing machine from the central warehouse and therefore there would be no delivey. Not sure why the call couldn't have been made earlier instead of 2 mins before the eleven o'clock time slot deadline. He offered to deliver on Sunday 11 dec which I declined because of prior arrangements, a free connection offered was also declined. I ageed to be available to receive delivery on Monday 12 dec 0700-1100 but only on the basis that if I received a phone message on my answereing machine during the Sunday saying my washing machine was at the delivery centre. He assured me that this was not a problem and he would leave a message to the person doing his job on the Sunday to leave that message for me if appropriate to do so. I arrived home late on Sunday and there was indeed a message for me made at 1335, stating it was from "n****** team at Currys" and further saying that delivery would now be on Monday 12 dec sometime between 1300-1530. What to do? I couldn't rearrange my work schedule to attend in the morning, all I could do was to cancel my work for the afternoon. I was therefore at home all day again on Monday 12 dec. I received no phone calls or the washing machine yesterday and to the present no contact whatsoever. This email I sent last week to customer care, I cancelled two days later after having no response except for an acknowledgement.

Every review site you go on about currys and "know how" the main number given is 1 out of 5, why are currys still in business ? I experienced the same shite from customer service and dumbness from currys that every one else has experienced. DONT shop at currys.

It all started in The Capitol Centre Store, Preston, where we walked out because the operative tried to hard sell insurance on a TV surround sound system by telling us we couldn't even get a refund on faulty goods without it !! So.... we visited the Chorley store to buy the same Sony system (£179.99). We were told, as with Preston, that we had to buy an optical sound cable (£50) to go with it. Researching at home we found the 'optical' cable was in fact, not as good as an HDMI one and so we returned this expensive piece of equipment. The store assistant re-iterated that the optical was definitely superior and so we bought a cheaper one for £19.99. This we opened before the main sound system....... Lo and behold!! The sound system came with an optical cable......... now we have an unwanted cable that has been opened and Currys won't refund the money. Plus - further reading confirms that the HDMI cable IS definitely better for audio. I will never trust Currys staff again. They have wasted our time and money and in future I have no intention of visiting your stores or trusting your staff. We are both over 60 and the staff seem to think this qualifies us for a good scamming. As they all seem none too bright, they probably assume we aren't either.......... how wrong they are.

Bought and paid for a fridge freezer and washer/dryer in store. Advised that there were stairs to our flat when these items were ordered, and this was noted on the delivery instructions. My partner took time off work to wait in for the delivery. There was no pre-delivery phone call to narrow down our 4 hour time slot but the delivery driver duly arrived, unloaded my products from the Lorry but then saw the stairs! Apparently they "don't do stairs". They were going to just leave the fridge freezer and washer dryer in the communal area until my partner told them that he wasn't going to sign for them and they could take them away again. He had already offered to help the two delivery men to take it to our flat. I tried to arrange redelivery by phone but was told, after a 15 minute wait on hold, that the delivery had been wiped off the system so I would have to go into the store to refund, reorder and arrange another delivery. The assistant assured me that the problem would not occur again but...... After taking yet another day off two delivery drivers arrive, unload my products, take one look at the stairs and decide that the fridge freezer is far too heavy to take up stairs but they could probably manage the washer dryer. If Currys use a delivery company that won't take a standard fridge freezer upstairs why don't they inform customers at the time of purchase? I had to go into store to try to arrange a refund, spending 45 minutes waiting for a customer service advisor to answer the assistants phone call Will I use Currys again? No! it hasn't been my only bad experience, there have been other issues in the past but was prepared to give them another chance but have now decided to shop in John Lewis for any other items I may require.

Washing machine delivery did not take place on arranged day. They called on the day and said complain once it's delivered. The delivery company couldn't have cared less. Horribly frustrating service - the kind that makes you feel completely ignored, deeply frustrated and like there is no point in challenging. When I did try to complain was on hold for 20+ minutes and they just didn't care. They don't care about there customers or reputation. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Ordered a steering wheel and pedals for my sons Christmas present, all was fine until I reciieved my delivery email which had mistakenly been processed with my old address, I rang Currys customer service after 35 minutes being on hold I and was advised by an operator that I need to ring DPD and change the address, I did this but unfortunately DPD said they could change the address unless they received an email from Currys, so I rang Currys back and after another 30 mins of being on hold I was then told I can not change address !!!!!! I was then told I needed to cancel the item so it can be returned and I would have to re purchase the item again, I asked if I could simply repurchase the item at the sale price I bought it for and was told no !! This was a difference of around £80 !! I couldn't believe with all the so called security on the website and payment prosess that it was down to data protection ! Currys offered me no mercy and was very clear they didn't give a toss about me or my Son going with out at Christmas, I will never use Currys again as there customer service is shocking, do not touch them with a barge pole, I will be sticking with John Lewis from now on who are excellent in what they do, unlike Currys cowboy outfit !!!

Broken delivery promise, followed by denial of installation followed by a fitter without the dishwasher I've waited in all day Thursday 8/12/16 (not daring to even move away from earshot of front door) for a delivery from Currys. They texted me Wed night and Thur morning to say they'd deliver that afternooon before 7:25. No they didn't and their phone guy said he couldn't tell me why and couldn't say when they'd get it to me. He did apologise. Well, that's the last time I shop there. Ordered it a month ago, the saleswoman said I'd get it within two weeks. On Friday 9/12/16 I was very pleased to see the delivery men about to bring my dishwasher. Happiness soon turned to disappointment and anger. Apparently the paperwork had not been done correctly, stating that my old dishwasher for removal was integrated so they said they couldn't do the job. I DID tell the saleswoman when I placed the order that my existing one was integrated but she said a freestanding one would be OK. I was furious, so visited Currys Selly Oak to tell them in no uncertain terms that I was dissatisfied with the joke that is supposed to be Currys service. The manager (Jon) had to spend nearly an hour hanging on phone lines and being transferred from one to another repeatedly. I think this gave him some insight into my frame of mind! What a poor show! Today Cur rys delivery/fitting team have just arrived - WITHOUT MY DISHWASHER! He told me the paperwork had been created in the store as "install only" No dishwasher on the van! Just how much longer is this farce going to continue? Such a level of incompetence is completely unacceptable!

I ordered a SMEG Victoria TR4110BL1 110 cm Dual Fuel Range Cooker - Black & Stainless Steel and paid for it by phone, I was given a delivery date 13.12.2016 but received no receipt. Today 13.12 I called to confirm delivery and was told that the order was just in the processing stage which was somewhat annoying to say the least. I discussed this further with the girl but even at this point she could not give me a delivery date. I have Noe cancelled the order and reordered with the kitchen seller.com and I must say they were very professional . Now just waiting to get a refund of my £2000

Never, ever use Curry's. A dishwasher was delivered with a dent in the door so it won't close. Reported immediately and told 'we would go to the back of the que', then long telephone waits of more than 15 miiinutes, customer services 'cant help you', delivery tried without notice so we were at work and then they said they had no record... never ever use Curry's.

I went to pc world/curys yesterday lunch time. I asked an agent where the dvd drives for apple were he pointed to a shelf and walked away. I had a look round and saw a DAB radio which I bought. At the checkout there were two young Asian girls chatting away ignoring a ringing phone. They scanned my goods still talking away only to stop to ask if wanted extended guarantee then went back to there conversation. Took my money gave me my change and pushed the goods across the counter still chatting away. I thanked them and said "bye" to which they ignored me I went to the door and then went back to them and said "I said thank you and goodby" to which they still ignored me still chatting away. The customer service is awful and the store was quite empty not good to say its two weeks from Christmas. I must admit though I was pre warned about the bad customer service at Currys Blackburn.

Avoid Currys- I Bought a dishwasher online with a promise of 7-14 days delivery / install. When I checked knowhow.com the dishwasher was not in stock. Customer services were unable provide an arrival date and said they would contact warehouse and let me know. Still heard nothing - absolute disgrace that Currys can run a business like this. Avoid at all costs

Do not buy from currys they are totally incompetent liars. Ordered a fridge freezer with door reversal. Explained my road would be difficult to park on at a certain time and was told this wasn't an issue (lie number one). They then delivered at this time and lo and behold couldn't park up so couldnt do the door reversal. I explained I had told the store the issue and the delivery guy said they never get given the information. The KnowHow man I spoke to today said the note was on my delivery so one of these 2 people told the second lie. The delivery guy then said it wasn't an issue and they would get someone to come out later that day. This is lie number 3 as no one came and when I rang up to enquire why I was told it had been rebooked for tuesday! Got it rearranged for the following week so had an entire week without a fridge! When I rang KnowHow today to enquire about finalising the complaint and getting my money back I was told I didnt deserve any as they had rebooked my door reversal and hadnt charged me for the slot!!!!! Even though I was having nothing delivered and it was their fault in the first place! When I made it clear this wasnt good enough he said he couldnt refund the money I would have to do it in store. This was not mentioned on my first call the week before where the woman I spoke to offered me half my installation.charge over the phone (which I declined) so again one of these have lied. Final lie is that when I rang when they initially didnt do what I paid for, I was told no final recompense could be decided until after the installation had taken place whereas the man I spoke to today said the case is closed as I accepted the free slot for the installation the week after! Do not use currys! Use AO instead they've always been great!
