I bought a portable Toshiba HD on one of the cashback deals. The salesman Roger said we had to wait at least 30 days before claiming the cashback online. I have just tried claiming my money, but this has apparently now 'already expired' as a deal. Roger didn't tell us there was an expiry date. I hate these cash back deals! For you wriggling out and welching on the deal especially as such a large company is dreadful behaviour. I think this is very poor customer service.

Dishwasher fell apart on Christmas Eve. Decided that as it was 10 years old a new one was called for. Went online, ordered a new one with installation and removal/disposal for delivery 27/12. Arrived on time with a phone call 30 minutes before . Installed perfectly, works perfectly and the chaps that did the job were very nice indeed. No complaints here....perfect service

We went in to buy a new TV. The teenager who attended to us didn't seem to know anything about electricals at all but tried to include every extra going, promising us discount from another member of staff. When we finally got to the till the girl was so abrupt and aggressive that we cancelled all extras and just bought the tv. She literally sneered at us and walked away mid sale! If we hadn't wanted the tv so much we would have walked out.

Showing stock online at store we went to. None in, manager was nice and tried to order from store. Computer was not working properly. Decided to go home and order for collection from currys another day. Could not order as showing shop stock. Rang in the order was told two in stock explained false. Then advice to take free delivery option for next day that cost 9.99. Blimey currys get your act together.

Bought a laptop just before Christmas. Ordered online and collected. Manager at Bracknell refused to exchange as box was opened. Given some rubbish about data protection that everyone spouts as an excuse for everything nowadays. It had not been used or even turned on, just wanted a different one. Didn't argue too much but got home to read on my receipt that they do indeed accept returns, opened, if notified within 14 days, rather than 21 days( which we did) 'If you pay peanuts you get Monkey's' but I think even monkeys could do better -they have vey little competition nowadays so what do they care. They don't even deserve one star. TRAIN YOUR STAFF

Well I ordered a tv online showing in stock from currys took the money plus express delivery charge to find out after 2 days later on the time slot I gave the order was not in stock no email or call to notify me I had to call them 40 mins later on the phone Then they turned around and said we shall refund the delivery charge they took off me Look like they only wanted to pay half of that back Then sent a tv that's crap plus had to call them on 24/12 at 8 am to make sure they would get the tv to me. Be careful if buying off currys read the online review they have it's shocking!! And a big joke being a big brand as they are!

Went to currys southport on black Friday to buy a Samsung curved 65" tv. Out of stock and not available to order. Went back Christmas eve as same TV is advertised again on offer. Out of stock and not available to order. How can currys be allowed to advertise an item in the sale yet the item is not available at all not even to reserve. It's very deceptive & should not be on sale if you can't actually buy it. Very disappointed and will be looking elsewhere in think.

Absolute disgrace of a company Ordered a new washing machine and fridge freezer, both turned up damaged... The washing machine was returned with the driver and I was advised a new one would be delivered the next day (today). Having not heard from currys and taken ANOTHER day off work to receive the delivery i've just been advised it will now be delivered on the 30th after ringing them! The fridge freezer was unpacked after the driver left I noticed a long scratch on both sides which is clearly visible. I've now been on the phone to customer support for over an hour, i've never received such poor customer service. Disgrace of a company, go to John Lewis instead!

I emailed Curry's a week ago (emailed because I had pictures to include showing the item they delivered damaged). And one week later, not even a response. I'll now have to spend more time chasing and it takes forever to get through to them on the phone (and the number isn't free either). It's just not worth buying from them unless they're much cheaper than the competition. At least I feel like AO cares when I buy from them.

I honestly wish I had read reviews, as I would have avoided any purchase with Currys! I purchased a washing machine, which was delivered with a fault. After struggling to get hold of the customer service team for 2 days to request an exchange or collection and full refund, I finally received an email to say that they are unable to help and I should contact the manufacturer to arrange a repair. I called the manufacturer who said they would be happy to start proceedings for a repair, but suggested I contact Currys again, as the machine was delivered with a fault. After emailing on numerous occasions with complaints and quotes from their own website, I have yet to hear back a week later. The service is unacceptable and I encourage anyone to avoid them, as it has left me disgusted!

I enquired about the availability of a Sony deck record player. The young lady assistant researched, informed me it was available in the warehouse, and advised me of the returns policy. All with a smile and very polite. Excellent customer service. The young lady even remembered my name when I collected two days later. Well done Currys Crawley.

where is my washing machine? I ordered and paid for it on 29 nov, free delivey arranged sometime during a twelve hour slot between 0700-1900 on 7 dec. Sometime during mid morning on the day I received a phone call from the delivery man advising me that he would be at my address within ten minutes which he duly was. I went out to meet him and to show him where the washer was to be sited and as I was doing so the phone rang, the caller asked to be connected to the delivery men, I passed him the phone as the other delivery man was emerging from the rear of the vehicle stating that my washing machine wasn't on board which was aparently what the phone call was about. The phone was handed back with no one on it to explain anything and the delivery men couldn't leave more quickly saying in reply when asked that they hadn't got any numbers for me to call to find out what had just happened and to make further arrangements, just that redelivery would arrive on friday 9 dec sometime between 0700-1900 hrs. Obviouly this arrangement did not fill me with confidence and so I phoned KNOWHOW at 5p/min to complain and to rearrange a new delivey date. Eventually after a nearly twenty minute wait, I spoke to B** who listened to my complaint and arranged with me for a new delivey for friday 9 dec between 0700-1100. I asked him to confirm this date with deliveries as I couldn't afford to neglect work for nothing, he came back to me about five minutes later to assure me that it was arranged. At 1058 on Friday 9 dec I received a call from N*** at the delivery centre Birmingham saying they hadn't received my washing machine from the central warehouse and therefore there would be no delivey. Not sure why the call couldn't have been made earlier instead of 2 mins before the eleven o'clock time slot deadline. He offered to deliver on Sunday 11 dec which I declined because of prior arrangements, a free connection offered was also declined. I ageed to be available to receive delivery on Monday 12 dec 0700-1100 but only on the basis that if I received a phone message on my answereing machine during the Sunday saying my washing machine was at the delivery centre. He assured me that this was not a problem and he would leave a message to the person doing his job on the Sunday to leave that message for me if appropriate to do so. I arrived home late on Sunday and there was indeed a message for me made at 1335, stating it was from "n****** team at Currys" and further saying that delivery would now be on Monday 12 dec sometime between 1300-1530. What to do? I couldn't rearrange my work schedule to attend in the morning, all I could do was to cancel my work for the afternoon. I was therefore at home all day again on Monday 12 dec. I received no phone calls or the washing machine yesterday and to the present no contact whatsoever. This email I sent last week to customer care, I cancelled two days later after having no response except for an acknowledgement.

Every review site you go on about currys and "know how" the main number given is 1 out of 5, why are currys still in business ? I experienced the same shite from customer service and dumbness from currys that every one else has experienced. DONT shop at currys.

It all started in The Capitol Centre Store, Preston, where we walked out because the operative tried to hard sell insurance on a TV surround sound system by telling us we couldn't even get a refund on faulty goods without it !! So.... we visited the Chorley store to buy the same Sony system (£179.99). We were told, as with Preston, that we had to buy an optical sound cable (£50) to go with it. Researching at home we found the 'optical' cable was in fact, not as good as an HDMI one and so we returned this expensive piece of equipment. The store assistant re-iterated that the optical was definitely superior and so we bought a cheaper one for £19.99. This we opened before the main sound system....... Lo and behold!! The sound system came with an optical cable......... now we have an unwanted cable that has been opened and Currys won't refund the money. Plus - further reading confirms that the HDMI cable IS definitely better for audio. I will never trust Currys staff again. They have wasted our time and money and in future I have no intention of visiting your stores or trusting your staff. We are both over 60 and the staff seem to think this qualifies us for a good scamming. As they all seem none too bright, they probably assume we aren't either.......... how wrong they are.

Bought and paid for a fridge freezer and washer/dryer in store. Advised that there were stairs to our flat when these items were ordered, and this was noted on the delivery instructions. My partner took time off work to wait in for the delivery. There was no pre-delivery phone call to narrow down our 4 hour time slot but the delivery driver duly arrived, unloaded my products from the Lorry but then saw the stairs! Apparently they "don't do stairs". They were going to just leave the fridge freezer and washer dryer in the communal area until my partner told them that he wasn't going to sign for them and they could take them away again. He had already offered to help the two delivery men to take it to our flat. I tried to arrange redelivery by phone but was told, after a 15 minute wait on hold, that the delivery had been wiped off the system so I would have to go into the store to refund, reorder and arrange another delivery. The assistant assured me that the problem would not occur again but...... After taking yet another day off two delivery drivers arrive, unload my products, take one look at the stairs and decide that the fridge freezer is far too heavy to take up stairs but they could probably manage the washer dryer. If Currys use a delivery company that won't take a standard fridge freezer upstairs why don't they inform customers at the time of purchase? I had to go into store to try to arrange a refund, spending 45 minutes waiting for a customer service advisor to answer the assistants phone call Will I use Currys again? No! it hasn't been my only bad experience, there have been other issues in the past but was prepared to give them another chance but have now decided to shop in John Lewis for any other items I may require.

Washing machine delivery did not take place on arranged day. They called on the day and said complain once it's delivered. The delivery company couldn't have cared less. Horribly frustrating service - the kind that makes you feel completely ignored, deeply frustrated and like there is no point in challenging. When I did try to complain was on hold for 20+ minutes and they just didn't care. They don't care about there customers or reputation. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
