On the 10 Dec 21, I placed an order for a HP laptop and O365 subscription for an amount of £1458.99. On the currys website, there was a promotion for free next day delivery and the code was accepted at the time of purchase as valid. I then received a confirmation email for the order with the delivery date of 16 Dec, which clearly was not next day. I called your customer service number as soon as this was received to advise them to cancel the order. Getting through to them was not straightforward in the first place, having to go through the automated system even before speaking to someone. I was then passed from one team to the next, having to explain everything to the new advisor. Eventually, the order was cancelled and I received an email confirming this. 2 days later, DPD delivered the product regardless. When I contacted customer services again to find out what's happened (once again, going through the automated system and multiple depts), the first agent, Njabulo hung up the call and made no attempts to contact me again. I again, called back customer services who basically said a refund will not be issued and when asked for transcripts of the conversion and previous conversations with yourself, Kwanele, the agent also terminated the call. I also mentioned this was a verbal SAR in accordance to GDPR regulations and ICO who prescribe companies treat verbal requests in the same manner as written requests. Kwanele made refused and made no attempts to allow me to speak with her superior, after she suggested she was unable to deal with the request. It occurred on: 2021-12-14 This meant that we were left fustrated, worrying about finances and having to cancel my plans further costing us money and emotional distress. I would like Currys to deal with my SAR to forward me the transcript, Acknowledge they've treated a customer badly, leaving us £1500 short during Christmas AFTER the order was cancelled.

Ordered a Samsung TV for my parents from Curry’s, Meadowhall Sheffield and paid the £50 to have it installed as I dumbly thought this would be the most hassle-free way. They said they’d install it between 1 and 6pm…never showed up, no email, nothing. Customer phone service useless. Drove over to the store, told to wait for a phone call next day, guess what? No phone call. Drove back and got the £50 refunded. Now I’m away for work and will have to install it myself probably Xmas day. USELESS company. AVOID.

How does such a large organisation manage to get something as simple as stock control so wrong? Placed an order for an item that was in stock, and waitied patiently and expectantly for a week, only to receive an email out of the blue saying that the order was to be cancelled due to supplier issues. Very poor to accept an order for something that was not in stock and then wait for a week before cencelling it. I had this issue several years ago with Currys, but assumed that it mnay have been a "one off". I will not be trusting this company again.

I paid £20 to have my washing machine delivered yesterday with an extra £25 for the installation service as we desperately needed clean clothes for the next day. The technician told me that he wouldn't be able to disconnect the old washing machine as the isolation tap/valve was broken and to contact a plumber to get it fixed first. About 1 minute after the technicians left I noticed 1 adjustable foot was missing for the new machine and thought maybe it could be in the van where they had unboxed it, so I rang the technician multiple times to no avail as he kept hanging up. Afterwards, I went to get a drink of water and as soon as I switched the tap on there was water everywhere as he didn't put the U bend back on underneath the sink (it didn't need to be fully taken off in the first place). We found that the isolation tap was not broken and that the transit bolts that the tech had removed were nowhere to be seen. We ended up fitting the washing machine ourselves which turned out to be a nightmare and the washer was then stuck in test mode for more than 3 hours. I rang Currys and asked if they would be able to send out an adjustable foot and their reply was that I would have to have the whole washing machine exchanged and I would be looking at Wednesday/Thursday the earliest which is no good as I work 7 days a week and already had to have the day off for the delivery of this one and so I've had to purchase an adjustable foot myself.

I didn’t want to put any starts as curry’s is awful…. Don’t EVER buy from them go to John Lewis they are normally cheaper any way and if not they will price match, their customers service is outstanding if you have any issues they will sort right away. I have nothing good to say about curry’s it’s nothing but trouble. curry’s gave me false information to make me purchase a product on the price promise and then said they will give me the price match money back after…… NOT TRUE you don’t have to buy the product at full price and then claim the money back they can price match then and there. And then when they do give you the money back it’s on a curry’s gift card….. again they do not tell you this I do not want for anything else in curry’s it’s a con. Custer service are no help either they either hang up, tell you they will ring you back and don’t, tell you to sort out with the store or there is nothing they can do….. basically anything but actually sort the issue not help what’s so ever so who do you get help from???absolutely shocking, worse service all round, misleading and false information given to make you part with your money DISCUSSING!!!! My issue is still not sorted 7 days on SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE SHOP ELSEWHERE

Price Match Promise. Completely Worthless. I raised one, they took a week going back and forth, then asked for a screen shot from a week earlier (which surprisingly I didn't have - though I sent them the link on the day I matched it). By the time this transpired the item had sold out (at the other shop) and so they felt that was a reason not to price match. Dishonest and misleading

I paid for my old fridge freezer to be picked up and taken away the same time my new one one being delivered and unpacked and the packaging taken away, the driver said he had no room on the van and didn't have time to unpack my new one he said he had arranged for someone last Saturday to pick it all up but nobody came I feel like we are just being messed around I PAID FOR THIS SERVICE. I have sent emails that they just ignore and can't get through on the phone so tomorrow I shall be in pc world also making a complaint and then trading standards. I have just come out of hospital and don't need the stress

I would give zero stars if I could. Missold the product from the start following multiple requests to confirm if the TV was fit for my purposes (online, in-store customer services and tech advisors). TV arrived and it couldn't do what I wished it to. SEVEN customer services calls/online chats/emails were completely ignored. No response, no call backs, no advice, kicked out of online chat with the 'internet disconnected' logo. I will never buy from them again.

I have ordered 3 appliances from currys on line, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer. The washing machine came broken, the drum was moving. Currys says is their policy to remove the screws that keep it in place while in the lorry, so this shows that they broke it while they moved it from the lorry to the house. Their customer service was so bad, and if you go to the store they are even worse. I was for hours on the phone to persuade them that I want to cancel all the order and I am using my rights by the law to return everything in 14days, because I am very dissatisfied. Finally they booked me a collection day for the 2 appliances (washing machine and dish washer because the 3rd was not delivered yet). The drivers came in and picked up only one and they left the other because it was not in their system, they called their manager and the manager said only one is on the system. So, they did not accept to pick up the other. They say we'll come tomorrow for the other. I ask why, you are here collect both of them, they said no. I call customer services again and the lady on the phone was chewing and I could not understand her. Finally we understood each other and she said it looks all cancelled, I asked what this means, she says all cancelled madam, and I say yes, all cancelled but what? the order, the collection, what is cancelled. And she hung up. I call again the customer services and after a while he finds the order, and he said yes only one collection was on the system (while I have a confirmation email for both to be collected). I ask to come and collect today the other one as well, he tried but said no I can arrange it for today, only for tomorrow. I ask who is going to compensate me for being another day off work because I have to wait you tomorrow as well. He says I am sorry, I say I do not accept the sorry I want to know who is going to compensate me for another day off work and the line drops. This is currys customer services. I DO NOT recommend you currys at all, choose anyone else, but not them, if you face a problem they will make you so upset as you cannot imagine, apart that they bring the appliances broken.

The deliverers/installers communications prior to the visit were poor - they attempted to call me twice on 2 consecutive minutes whilst I was otherwise engaged and then just turned up. Then, once they had brought the new washer into the house, they announced that they could not install it as the old machine was wired into a junction box and not plugged into a socket. I told them that I could get a socket put on within half an hour, and asked if they could return later in the day to complete the install, but they said I would have to call the Curry's customer service number to arrange this. I had the socket installed only 30 minutes after the deliverers left my home and they never came back, despite my calling Cust Svces several times throughout the morning and early afternoon. They said they could not contact the drivers or tell where they were. Eventually I called mid afternoon and was advised that they had now left my area - which contradicted the advice given previously - and I therefore had to start over again and arrange a new visit for 3 days later which, considering my wife was imminently going into hospital, was highly inconvenient. To add insult to injury, when the second visit occurred which, thankfully, went ahead without any issues, one of the installers informed me that there was no reason why the washer could not have been installed during the first visit, as they would have been happy to carry out the wiring themselves. All in all - a very unsatisfactory experience of poor communications, inconsistent advice and very unhelpful attitudes from all Currys personnel involved; all of which will disincline me ever to buy anything from Currys in the future, to advise family, friends and colleagues to do the same and to disseminate this review wherever I am able.

The issue that I have experienced was: My washing machine has started Knocking on the spin cycle, which stops the spin making a whining noise and moving out of the space it is in. I have contacted Currys on 3 different telephone numbers today - in total 7 calls - when they are unable to assist me they simply switch the call to customer survey and then the call ends. I was instructed to contact Samsung for an uplift number as they cannot collect the appliance till they have this - on contacting Samsung I was informed that since I have had the appliance less than 28 days I do NOT in fact need an Uplift number and that I need to contact Currys so they can arrange collection for refund/exchange. It would appear that having purchased the appliance in store there is not a contact telephone number or email that one can use to contact Currys but one has to physically go into the store to deal with any issues. I am disabled and may not be able to get to the store in the immediate future so I requested that the fault be logged so that I am still within the time frame for a replacement/refund - this is not possible with Currys. Having spent 4 1/2 hours trying to resolve this issue I have finally given up. I requested the contact number and/or email for their head office but apparently the staff are not allowed to give this to members of the public. How in this day and age is there no way to contact a company apart from physically attending the premises - how is this disability friendly???

Do not buy from currys I had a washing machine delivered and while I was in the kitchen with one of the delivery men the other one stole my fathers watch and a large amount of money from my front room I notified the police and emailed the ceo which obviously didn’t get to him but someone else who was very unhelpful and wasn’t interested, obviously the drivers denied this but I know it was definitely them

Item was stolen in transit and I instead received a bag of what I believe was gravel. Currys refused to accept any responsibility or refund me, saying the item had been packed and dispatched without issue and DPD had reported no issue with the parcel. They told me I should have refused delivery if I suspected something was wrong and had nothing to say when I asked how I was meant to know the item was missing from inside of a shipping bag before opening it. Payed via paypal and was able to open a claim where Currys after 4 weeks of arguing with them offered to refund me if I "returned the item" at my cost. It's bad enough I was asked to do this at my cost given the situation but when I queried their support about what they meant by returning the item and if they just wanted me to send back the box and bag of Gravel I was met with confusion saying that no refund had been authorised on the purchase. At this point I guess I'll just do what i was told and just send them back what I received so I fulfil my obligations to PayPal and once they refund me they can take it up with each other if there's been some kind of confusion or misunderstanding about my refund. Currys is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with and I'd recommend anyone who's thinking about buying anything from them to go look up other reviews on the company and see just how bad they actually are if you ever a problem. I wish I had.

currys/pcworld price match guarantee farce found an item considerably cheaper than on offer at currys, emailed them the details for a price match, refusals to match include 1st refusal Thanks for your price match request. We are unable to match this company. This is because they display no company or VAT information meaning we cannot verify that they're a genuine UK retailer. it does the site displays company reg number business address and phone numbers is alsp registered with companies house, 2nd refusal We have reviewed your price match request. Unfortunately, we unable to do price match. This is because the competitor is not offering free delivery and according to our term and condition of price match the competitor should give free standard delivery. They are charging £3.40 for the standard delivery. Untrue the retailer is offering free delivery for autumn sale items clearly displayed on website. 3rd refusal We are unable to price match on this occasion and this link does not qualify our price match policy. As we provide delivery date before placing the order and give free standard delivery then we expect and do price match with the competitor with same service. again the retailer is currently providing free delivery, its getting worse, 4th refusal We have reviewed your price match request and the link you have shared of the website. Unfortunately, your selected retailer only provides delivery dates after purchase. as you can read currys/pcworld will not stand by there own price match guarantee and will use any reason not to honour it, this is not at all surprising as my last experience with this firm culminated in myself having to initiate court proceedings against them so they would honour there own warranty agreement , absolute abysmal company !

They didn't activate my gamepass for Xbox. When I called they said they can't activate unless I send them my entire Xbox back as it's a bundle. Two issues: 1. Private data. 2. My Xbox is now with me in Europe. Curry's didn't want to know. I basically got scammed and they won't activate the card. Microsoft also can't and said Currys have to do it.

I purchased in-store Samsung speaker MX-T50 £299.00 at Crawley - they had none in stock so they ordered it online it arrived next day - fine. No remote included. You then run into the major problem of finding someone to speak to that will help - the website is useless - no webchat working and the Shoplive is also useless. No complaints procedure to be found. No answer on the store telephone number (when you eventually find one). After 1 hour making other enquiries on the phone they put me through to Samsung! bad line - at least they tried. These people have got too big and are as bad as BT use to be. Stay away as you risk the morass of incompetence that is Currys after sales and customer service should anything not be quite right - please find somewhere else to purchase - its even worth paying more for it. I've wasted 2.5 hours of my life and no resolve and no apology either. Good luck.

My wife tried to buy a Chromebook online from our local store, she is going in for a bone marrow transplant shortly and was going to use it to video chat with my daughter whilst she is in isolation. After purchasing she checked with the online customer advisor who told her that the item was out of stock. It would be early December by the time it may return to stock. She asked if it could be brought from the next nearest store, 30 miles away, where it was in stock. She was told that couldn't happen. My wife then asked to cancel the order and we would go to the next nearest store. As it was paid by a Curry GiftCard we thought that it would have been easy to just reimburse the card. No, although Currys take the money immediately, they like 3 to 5 working days to pay you back. When we started to complain we were told the item is in stock elsewhere and could be ordered, however as we had cancelled we would need to wait 3 to 5 business days for a refund as the could not reinstate the order. Customer Service representatives say the first thing that they think will get you offline. You end up getting a different person each time. They contradict each other. But better than that I have just been informed that although I have asked to raise my complaint formally, Currys will decide if they need to contact me about it or feedback to me. Upshot is I will have to wait at least 5 days going by what other complaints are saying and my wife will not have her device, that was bought and paid for, before going into hospital
