Don't honour 5 year guarantee If you are thinking about buying a new TV from Curry's i would seriously advice against it. I bought a new TV 2 years ago with a 5 year guarantee. I turned it on one morning and had a massive line down one side on the screen. Phoned up Curry's and got told someone would collected TV and repair it and if it could not get fixed i would either get a replacement TV or get a voucher for new one. I got sent Message today saying my TV could not be fixed and to phone a number about this issue. I phoned number and spoke to a quite rude lady that told me it could not be repaired because they could not get parts for it and it was damaged my user. Blaming myself to get out of replacing a TV only 2 years into a 5 year Guarantee. When the delivery man came to pick TV up he asked if there was any cracks etc on screen and checked as he took it off stand. The TV was fine you only see the problem when it is turned on. It seems Curry's are not interested in honouring 5 year guarantee with any of there products. They just want to blame the customer if anything goes wrong. Have shopped with Curry's for over 20 years but the 1st time i have a problem with a TV they are not interested in honouring a 5 year Guarantee. Will never shop at Curry's again and would advice anyone who is going to buy an expensive TV to stay well clear as they will try and blame the customer if you run into problems.

It would be no stars if possible! 19th August I go on line to curry’s pc world. I placed an order for the Samsung Galaxy tab S6 with pre-order which allowed you to get a keyboard for it for £50.00. Total order of £739.00 My payment was authorized and all was well or so I thought! 3rd September after hearing nothing about the delivery of this and not having any email regarding it being sent I telephoned them. I had already emailed them on the 2nd and also tried live chat (never bother with this they are not at all interested) but they ignored all of it. On telephoning their customer services today I was just told they do some internal security check and my order was cancelled without them telling me why, when or even giving me any reason. They are determined not to give an explanation and now it would cost me £39.00 more to get the same things as there is now not the same offer on the keyboard. I am sure too many people wanted the offer and they decided to cancel a whole load of the orders. Do not buy from them go anywhere else that wants to have the custom instead. I have never had a problem with Amazon and would not have gone to Curry's at all except my son wanted it on release day (obviously didn't happen).

Avoid avoid avoid!! Know how Purchased a Panasonic veria 49 inch TV 2 years ago, bloke in Currys said about this know how insurance told us that we would be covered if our daughter chucked something at the screen if the TV was to fall off the wall or if TV broke down for any reason. We were also told we would be able to have a loan TV while ours went away for repair. We thought that sounds brilliant gives us peace of mind, so we have been paying it on time every month. 2 years passed our TV has a clouding on it or led bleeding so my husband rings know how told them what has happened we were told there was no loan TVs so we would have to go in a queue but when we purchased the TV we were actually never told we would have to go in a queue for a loan TV. It turns out they have changed the terms on a loan TV we wasn't informed so my husband puts a complaint in they finally come round to our way of thinking as customer is always right! Booked repair in our TV will be picked up on Thursday we will also give you vouchers so you can go pick a loan TV basically their way of saying they messed up they are in the wrong. We were like ok ye that's fine got the vouchers went to get new tv. Currys turn up at ours take TV week later we get an email saying TV been repaired screen has been replaced we thought brilliant. Our TV arrived back home today put it on and what's still there the clouding but it's worse then what it actually was! Next thing my daughter wanted to play Xbox she has autism it calms her down so we went to change the channel for her and what pops up coloured lines all over the screen we have video evidence of this aswell for proof! It turns out the repair center haven't put the hdmi ports back together properly this is a fire risk it could set on fire! We have 3 young children so my husband unplugged it put it to the side took it off the wall rang team know how told them it's dangerous and it's a fire risk! Guess what they didn't want to know oh we will get someone to pick up your TV tomorrow morning but they only have till Saturday to replace our TV or give us a full refund we have been told the tv will be wrote off! So my husband stated consumer rights act that we are entitled to a full refund because tbh a greedy company who don't care that a TV could start a fire, I don't want to have nothing to do with them anymore! I'm absolutely disgusted with Currys and team know how we were also told that this extended warranty we have isn't an insurance it's a policy! They have broken the terms and conditions on our agreement. We were told we would get a voucher I don't want a bloody voucher I want my money back! I'll go to another company who put their customers first and care about them, unlike this company who couldn't give a dam about their customers! The support team don't care all we keep getting told is you will receive a call back by the end of the day even though we have told them it's a fire risk that's their answer! What the hell do we pay this bloody insurance for its nothing but a bloody con, so they can get more money out of you. So anyone looking to purchase from Currys and buy this insurance avoid like the plaque it's aload of rubbish never ever again will I purchase from Currys or touch their insurance! Further to this we were given a choice of a new TV they would give us a voucher but it was their choice what TV they choose us! Or partial refund of £250 and we keep TV what a smack in the face nowhere in the terms and conditions does it say that it's a TV of their choice! So we have taken the £250 and kept the TV we are taking Currys to court they damaged our TV further and we get punished for it!!

Poor quality faulty product - Currys would not replace or refund Bought a fridge from Currys essentials in January. One of the shelves broke a couple of months later for no apparent reason. The shelves have very thin plastic edges which just seem to collapse. Currys replaced the shelf and now 2 more shelves have broken. Same problem. They have now sent me replacement shelves with no edges which are completely useless. This fridge is not fit for purpose and obviously has inadequate shelving. I have asked for a refund or to purchase an alternative fridge. Curry's say the fridge is still in working order and will not replace. I have wasted so much time on this issue and am really angry that for the sake of some tiny bits of plastic edging this product is useless. What waste for a bit of penny pinching in product development. I will not be buying from Currys again and would advise others that Curry's own brand products are shoddy and the customer service is appalling.

Purchased Kenwood Fridge KSBNIX18. All delivered fine. The ice dispenser didn't work. 8 phone calls, 1 visit to the store, 4 emails to Kenwood, several calls to Kenwood. I have spent over 1 hour on hold to team hopeless and the Kenwood site cannot even locate their own fridge. Normally I would suggest Currys represent a reputational risk to Kenwood, however, it turns out they are rubbish too so it is a perfect match. Do NOT use Currys - stick to John Lewis.

0 Stars Team KnowHow Given 4 attempts to install a dishwasher they still didn't get it right. I finally told them to take it out and refund me, then they couldn't even send the right crew to come and collect the machine. PATHETIC, INCOMPETENT, TIME WASTERS. After pressing for further action a collection date was brought forward and the machine was taken away 22/8/19. Low & behold, this morning (29/08/19) they came to collect it again. PATHETIC, INEPT AND ANNOYING. PS YOU RECOVERED THE MACHINE LAST WEEK WHERE IS MY REFUND?

Awful customer service. Washing machine purchased. The store booked in for incorrect type of delivery, took a further 2.5 weeks to get correct team to deliver product. Product final delivered was faulty, a further 3 days to have this resolved. Curry's did nothing to assist this process and I have to phone and arrange each step myself. £10 compensation offered for 2.5 hours on the phone and 4 weeks without a washing machine.

Price promise what a joke, think this needs to be investigated by a regulating body. More like a scam. I've lost all trust and confidence with this company as they clearly offer a false promise. If I had a legit reason provided by the curry's advisor I would have understood, T&C were read correctly but advisor took it into her own hands to decide, asked for a supervisor and the chat got terminated. Took my custom elsewhere and will continue to do so in the future.

I needed delivery on a 3.5 tonne truck due to very difficult entrance. During the ensuing 10 days i confirmed with no less than four curry's employees that this was necessary. The delivery turned up twice on a 7.5 tonne truck and once not at all. In the end I asked them to deliver to a small van company to get it to my house. Thus incurred two days loss of income and the cost of delivery with the van company. Why is this ok?

Yesterday I tried to buy a Logik L55DAB15 radio from the Currys Castle Vale store. Despite you web site saying that this was in stock, it wasn't. I was advised that it was in stock at Sutton Coldfield. This morning I made the journey to Sutton and bought the radio. On returning home I unpacked it to set it up. The mains adapter was missing, and I could see that this had clearly been opened and badly repacked. The radio was grubby and covered in fingerprints, and I concluded that I had been sold an incomplete, used item, at full brand new price. This was dishonest, and I will not tolerate anyone who trys to con me. I returned to Castle Vale for a full refund, and I am upset at having my time wasted by this amateurish and dishonest organisation. I will not buy from Currys again.

I'm an international student in Durham. Every business I have dealt with has been professional and helped me when there was a problem. Curry's is the one exception. I bought a very expensive laptop 9 months ago and it has been to their repair shop twice for over ten days each time. They don't have a clear idea of how long things take. They send messages that the unit is in the store only to find out it is not in the store. There is no offer of a discount on something else or a service to make up for the terrible service. The laptop is under warranty AND I pay the monthly for the care package. I am cancelling this service and taking the laptop elsewhere for servicing. The laptop itself is not worth the money I paid for it and the company doesn't know how to treat its customers. Never again.

We ordered a dishwasher from Currys online and had to wait 8 days for installation and taking away the old dishwasher. I phoned to check what would be expected from us. Despite this the delivery man, because he didn't know how the water was connected, failed to remove the old dishwasher and the new one is now sat in the garage. He was quite rude. It will take 19 days before another delivery slot is available. I really hope it is not the same team as they had a "cannot do" attitude.

Spent over THREE hours trying to get a brand new fridge freezer that didn't work from day one uplifted & replaced. They have the cheek to say that the average wait time could exceed "5 minutes or more" ! I will NEVER buy anything from them again, I'm disgusted that they don't give a damn about their customers

Bought a electric oven and hob. Electrians came unaware they had to disconnect the gas hob, although it was on the receipt. They were here most of the day and into the evening, constantly switching the electricity on and off. They eventually blew my chrome cooker switch, blaming it on a faulty switch, although it had worked perfectly before they touched it. They fitted a plastic temporary one and left it hanging off the wall. They said my wiring was faulty and to get an electrician but said it was OK to use the cooker. They said there was nothing more they could do. I got an electrician who said they hadn't connected the earth and I could have been electrocuted. Curry's said they will reimburse me the fitting and for the switch and as a good will gesture give me £40. An insult considering I could have been killed

We ordered an item which was meant to be delivered today. The item cost £200 and simply never turned up. After spending over an hour on the phone, they had no idea where it was or when it was ever going to arrive. We received messages two days ago, one day ago, and earlier this morning saying it was still coming. Nothing! Cancelled the item and went with AO instead. Don't use their service, terrible. Should have listened to my friends and colleagues who have had similar experiences.

Curries price match promos. Forget it. I found a Beco heat pump tumble dryer at Appliance Direct for £133 cheaper than Currys when I rang I was told they would not honour it as Appliance Direct was not on there approved list despite the promise they would match ANY other online or instore price. Not the first time Curries have tried to rip me off but it will be the a last time as I will not use them again at any price.
