READ THIS BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING AND INSURING YOUR SHINY NEW APPLIANCE OR EQUIPMENT FROM CURRYS/PC WORLD. Insurance through KnowHow which supposedly gives peace of mind should reassure you that it is fully covered for failure. But what about damage to your property caused by the technician who comes to repair it? On 6th July 17, a technician came to my home to repair our dishwasher which was covered by a policy provided through KnowHow. In pulling the dishwasher out, he ripped the edge off our kitchen worktop, which although about 10years old was in pristine condition as we take pride in our kitchen. Naturally I had some concern about lodging a claim through our own building policy as this was bound to lead to a higher premium at renewal. However, KnowHow said that they could make good the damage. They asked us to get some quotes which we duly did. They then disregarded the quotes and informed us that they believed that the Surface of the worktop could be repaired and they provided a limited list of such companies who could treat the Surface. The first one we approached wouldn’t even contemplate a repair. The repairer who did attend has had 2 attempts to produce a repair but the repair was still visible and the damage on the underside of the worktop wasn’t even addressed. Since our worktop suffered this damage we have had frequent email exchanges with KnowHow who have indicated vague promises and indemnities none of which look likely to be honoured. Today we have found that the heat from the dishwasher has caused the area around the the repair to bubble so the dishwasher door now catches and the edge of the worktop is breaking away. Probably not too surprising has it has taken weeks to bring about the repair and the damage surface was open to damp. We have now had 3 months of stress caused by KnowHows negligence and there is still no sign of it ending. We have had no formal apology for the damage except from the technician. THINK TWICE BEFORE TAKING OUT COVER WITH KNOWHOW AND IF YOU HAVE IT, SUPERVISE ANY REPAIR CAREFULLY AS YOU MAY NOT BE PROPERLY COMPENSATED FOR ANY DAMAGE KNOWHOW DO TO YOU HOME. Nigel Wilcox

We had ordered a new fridge freezer as our current one had broken down. Two delivery men came today to take our old fridge and give us the new one. They said the old fridge cannot come out unless you take out the doors because the handles were blocking it from going through the door and that we should have taken the doors out before they came even though I remember when we had this fridge delivered to us we didn’t need to unscrew any doors. One of the delivery drivers was extremely horrible and shouting and screaming at my mum that you only have 20 mins otherwise we are not taking this fridge and that it was our responsibly to have unscrewed the doors so they could take it and that he wants to go home as it’s a Sunday- surely he was getting paid to complete his job!! I thought it was there duty to take the fridge out and put the new fridge in the kitchen Luckily my husband was home so he unscrewed the doors quickly and just seconds before they were about to leave we were able to get them to take the old fridge Imagine if they were delivering to someone who was by themselves and didn’t have the physical ability to climb up the kitchen counters to reach the door screws and take apart their fridge, would they just leave the fridge there?? So now we have our new fridge in the corridor and not in the kitchen!!! Ridiculous Will need to call my uncles over to help us out in moving this fridge to the kitchen as my husband can’t carry it by himself Was absolutely appalled at the service we got and how dare he scream at my Mum. Don’t know his name but he was delivering for Gloucester curry’s.

There should be an option for zero rating. Being on the phone for 55 minutes and spoken to three people. Guess what I needed to do - simply book a repair ! No one seem to have a clue. Call cut off after 55 minutes, I'm back on the phone still no clue , laid back customer service guys - selling me a product to clean my washing machine with even before taking my policy number - in the end he can't find me on the system, then asking who the other person on my cooker policy is !!!! When I'm actually calling about WM - I was compelled to give my personal detail which is of no use to him , then passed back to Curry's who 'doesn't know who I am !!!! I opened my back account - I paid £5.50 few days ago with ref number CURRYS********* !!! I'm back on the phone anyway ...... it's been 77 minutes already , it Saturday morning, I have got three little kids needing my attention... I'm pulling my hair out .....😢 Wish me luck.

Fridge delivered on time, but needed the door rehanging - which service we had paid for. Guy delivering it fiddled around for a bit then declared that he didn't have the rights tools for the job, so he would call it in to be dealt with on the following day. Service desk then phoned to say they couldn't do the job until Monday. Stayed in on Monday, got a call from the service engineer at 6.30 pm to say he would exceed his allotted hours if he came to us so we would have to phone to rearrange the visit for he following day. Rang to get appointment (40 minute wait time) to be told that 2 days time was the earliest they could attend. Appalling service so far, will not use them again even if they turn up tomorrow and carry out the job.

I had such a bad experience with Bedford Currys with customer service that I shall never go to the store or any other outlet again after purchasing a HP computer. I will in future deal with a local outlet or John Lewis, this is the best advice I can give to anybody thinking of purchasing any product that they stock.

had real big problems with this company and would avoid like the plague. Purchased a fridge that was near on £1000 and they; 1. Lied about what was included and tried charging me over £100 for a wine rack and drinks holder that was meant to be included. The supplier said they would send it free of charge. 2. Charged me for recycling my old fridge but left part of it behind sat in the front garden. 3. Refused to deliver the item through my door and stated it wouldn't fit - I had to carry the fridge myself through the very same door less than 5 minutes later. 4. Told me the price of the fridge wouldn't change before ordererinf only to go in store to be told if had gone up by several hundred. Only after speaking to a manager did they return the item to the promised price. 5. General bad customer service and waiting around the store to be served. 6. They were late even after specifying a delivery time. 7. Offered a ridiculous amount of £35 compensation and basically told that or nothing. You hear about the bad reviews and think it won't happen to you...then it does. Please avoid them. There are several other companies that I'm sure can do a much better job without even trying.

Happy to take our money but do not want to admit responsibility when mess up. Made a mistake on paperwork putting wrong name on insurance details but will not reimburse anything of the nearly four years of insurance paid although not able to claim because of their mistake.

Asked before ordering if they could deliver to second floor flat, told them clearly it was stairs only. Was told should be ok, but ring up once order placed to let delivery crew know before they set out. This I proceeded to do after paying £45 for installation and removal of old appliance. Delivery crew turn up, complain about there being a removal - refuse to do it. And refuse to deliver the new appliance up to the flat. The crew that delivered my old appliance (the appliance these guys were supposed to remove) had no problem with the stairs. This crew this team just really came over as couldn't be **sed, moaning they'd already done 2 flat delivers earlier in the day - really, so it isn't that you can't do them, it's just that you can't be bothered to do them when it's later in the day.

I tried to buy a 49 inch TV from them I put all my details in and they said they weren't delivering to my area the TV was a 49 inch smart TV and the price was just £208.96p I rang them up and got cut off and spoke to Emma one of their chat on Currys site and she told me they out of stock how come you are still advertising such a good offer when you haven't got any in stock is it so we will go on to your site and be presured into buying a more expensive one I think it would be a decent thing for you to take the advert down as I can not afford the prices you are charging

I was due to have a hob delevered today and had a text to say it would arrive between 7 am - 11 am. Waited until nearly 5 and rang TeamKnowHow to find out what was happening as the plumber had romoved the oven and disconnected and removed the hob and was waiting to fit the new hob. The lady I spoke to said she would ring the delivery men as I hadn't a card to say I missed them. She came back to me to say they had tried to deliver but there was no one in and they dont always have cards in the van. They went on to say that they had spoken to me and arranged to deliver to a neighbour but they'd run out of time?? I had never spoken to them. The teamknowhow lady said she would ring them back and get back to me. She did ring back to say they would deliver this evening and would call when they were half an hour away and i should expect delivery by approx 7pm. I have not had a phone call and no delivery at nearly 8 pm. Just checked online tracking and it says my order is in progress and should be delivered tomorrow. I have had to pay extra to the plumber who now has to come out again. Appalling service, will never buy anything else from here again.

Staff never approach you when needing help on a product. I had to find a manager to get a staff member to help As being an ex store manager for high street pharmacy. I would ask Currys to look at how they train their staff

Attitude of crew delivering item was not good. Maybe they were having a bad day (who knows). Don't show up and say 'where' then put put the tumble dryer in the kitchen and say 'sign here', then stomp off. There was no hello or good bye. Wish I could have given a zero rating to the company but since I can't, I will NOT shop there again.

"Currys do not give a years warrenty. A dishonest trader who ignores its customers and consumer law. Our Dishwasher leaked after 6 months. Engineers came 4 times but could not fix it. Repair call line said it needed to be replaced so rrpeatedly transfered us to replacement call line who repeatedly said it must be repaired. After 3 weeks and of hours on the phone being we gave up and purchased a new one from some one else. Please do not buy from Curry's.

Don't use them. Disgraceful customer service. Ordered washing machine in store. They put in details of wrong model (different colour) so wrong machine delivered. Delivery guy didn't install but left the washer and put on his section of invoice that wrong colour delivered. I had paid for installation. I waited. I waited....No customer services clearly too busy to contact me so I picked up the phone. I was fobbed off with two blatant lies: (1) We don't deliver that colour.... Doh! (2) It will cost you an extra £50 for that colour! Three phone calls later and they eventually admitted human error. "You will have to go back to the store you ordered it from." "But that is 200 miles away." "Sorry. Computer says Noooo."
