“I am sorry, we did not enjoy the cake. it was very sweet, taste like sugar only and the sponge was dry, again very sweet. delivery, look and packaging was excellent. thanks”

“The scones are tasty. The cakes are wet and too sweet. It was not sure if the change of temperature during delivery would cause the wetting of cakes or not. Or if the packing of the cakes was spoiled.”

“Presentation was incredible / a truly beautiful little cake! Definitely feeds more than it states - many thick layers. My only issue was that like many of the reviews before —- it is wayyyy too sweet.”

“The cake was tasty but dry. it should be softer and wetter. The courier came at 7 am to wake up the birthday boy quite early. You should consider better delivery start time. I wont order again unless i dont have any other choice.”

“I've been ordering from C&S for the past three years, both for cake and the Afternoon tea. Unfortunately, the quality of the products have gradually deteriorated during that time, getting more disappointing each year. The packaging is more scrappy and untidy, the second time I bought a GF, Vegan Summer cake, it wasn't cooked properly. The cream and the GF, Vegan cakes in the Afternoon tea we received this year were really disappointing - not enough cream and the cakes were sunken. The Cream in the standard tea wasn't as nice as the Rhodda's cream. I question whether I will use them again”

“The cake was delicious and half was beautifully decorated, however something had gone wrong in delivery because the cool pack was completely warm and the cake looked like it had been dropped, with all the icing slid to one side. I think part of the problem was that the exterior packaging did not make clear it was a cake and needed to be kept upright, so the delivery driver must have been a bit heavy handed. Didn't affect the taste but not what I expected at this price.”

“The delivery was not as superb as the last. Delivery man was shaking and almost tossing the box up and down. As a result, the cake came out lopsided. Nonetheless, the red velvet cake was delicious; a little sweet for my taste.”

“The products from Cutter and Squide have been excellent and the next day delivery a great option. However, the last order I sent to abfeiend for her 50th birthday did not include the note (that I had added) so she didn't know who the gift was from. Which was a shame considering so much thought, effort and cost had gone into it.”

“The cakes were ok, not suitable for a wedding cake. Particularly the chocolate cake samples were extremely dry and the carrot cake was overwhelmingly spiced to the point it was unpleasant. The remaining samples were nice though. Delivery and presentation of the samples was great also.”

“I ordered a cake online and I know I should have checked the dimensions on the website. But the cost was £42.99 so I assumed it would be of a reasonable size. It arrived and it was a portion for no more than 2 people, so I had to rush out and get another cake after it was delivered. Just know what you are getting in terms of portions before you splash out!”

“Sadly my first Cutter and Squidge cake is in the freezer so I cannot tell you what it tastes like. I bought a vegan one in the belief that it was also the gluten free option which, when it arrived, I noticed it was not. I could not therefore serve it to the birthday boy and it was too late to order another one so picked up one up from Sponge locally instead. Hopefully, it will be just as good once defrosted!”

“looked gorgeous but taste just wasn’t there. Ordering, delivery and presentation was great. We just didn’t get that deliciousness. Quite disappointed. Bland not very sweet for a cake. The butter cream wasn’t pleasant.”

“The cake arrived in perfect condition and rasted really good. Unfortunately the delivery company they used sent a driver who gave me a note asking me to transfer him money to pay for his wife’s surgery. Was very weird and not something i want to have to deal with when accepting a delivery.”
