“Very disappointed with my experience. The order arrived 3 hours after the time specified, not a major deal but put together with everything else… The cake was absolutely ruined due to cutter & squidge putting the cake box into the delivery bag upside down - it was sat icing-side down, all day in the hot delivery van. At first we thought it was the courier who had put the bag upside down the whole day, but they handed it to us label side up, and it was the box inside that was upside down. Couldn’t serve the cake to the person in the end as it looked so bad and so in the end it was a waste of £30. I ended up scraping everything off and spending more money to redecorate it and giving it to them the following day. Then the recipient said the filling inside the cake and the cake batter was overly sweet. Not a great experience, very disappointed as I’d heard good things about this company. When I tried to call, I was in a queue for 25+ minutes (which is fine, they are busy), what I didn’t appreciate is that the call just automatically hung up and when I tried to call back, I was advised that the office was closed by a pre-recorded message. It would be worth maybe adding a message to the call queue that the shop will be closing soon - just not ideal customer service. Wanted to love as I had heard great things and it is so hard to find gluten free cakes! So just disappointed.”

“Delivery was quick, had a selection. To be honest me and my partner said they all tasted the same. No difference between flavours. Taste wasn’t bad just wouldn’t buy again”

“It was a present for a friend. She said she found them too sickly sweet. Also that they have to be eaten within a few days. She actually ended up throwing most of them away.”

“Honestly, expensive for what it is. The presentation of the items is average. They are wrapped individually like aeroplane food, and look and taste basic. Also, the delivery driver left the package on the doorstep (there was no instruction to do so). It was during the hot weather we had last year and the cream inside started to warm up. Shame because if you visit the store the products are quite nice.”

“Nice enough cake, but wasn’t worth the amount of money spent. Arrived in an extremely large damaged box , the gift note got lost between the folds of the box. It wasn’t found until the box was broken down for recycling. Was a birthday gift & sorry I was disappointed with the whole experience.”

“We have been very happy with your products in the past, unfortunately this time the cake dismantled s soon as we took him out of the box and after cutting one slice. We kept it in the fridge until 1h before serving. Kept it in the kitchen and never took it to the garden to avoid the heat. Still was a disaster ;(”

“Extremely disappointing. I bought a passionfruit and pistacchio cake for my partner's birthday and the moment we cut it I felt bad. The decoration on top was spotless, the cream all around the cake looked gorgeous and the packaging was perfect. But the sponge was dry, dense and bland, and the "thick" layer of cream outside turned out to be the thinnest layer of cream I've ever seen. We basically paid £35 for a small piece of sponge cake :(”

“The cake looked ok, I really wanted this to taste good. Though the flavour was nice enough, the sponge was sooooo dry. I was so disappointed and wouldn’t be buying anymore cakes from you. I also wouldn’t recommend buying for a special occasion like I did for my partner’s birthday - it’s a shame it didn’t work out.”
