“Driver delivered part of order but drove of with the cake. It was a a nightmare trying to contact customer services. No one answering phones. The voicemail said they are open after 9.30 and it was after 9.30. The email said someone would respond in 24 hours. I do t think I can go through that stress again it ruined the event. I thought I was not going to have a cake for my event.”

“We'd had a previous cake from Cutter and Squidge with was very nice. This Victoria sponge was incredibly dry and crumbly. Cakes don't last long in our house. Unfortunately this one ended up in the bin.”

“I bought the cake as a gift for a friend's birthday on behalf of another friend, as I had recommended Cutter & Squidge. In fact, I have recommended Cutter & Squidge cakes to a number of friends and my daughter, as she bought a celebration cake for her twins (my grandkids). However, I was somewhat annoyed when I highlighted that whilst placing my recent order on their website, it confirmed the 15% discount had applied, when in fact it hadn't. This wasn't apparent until after I had paid. But whilst it's understandable that technical glitches can occur, I took umbrage to being told I had deliberately used a previous code, so in effect, I was accused of being deceitful. I have purchased several cakes over time and was quite incensed. Thankfully, my complaint was escalated and a refund of the difference applied, but that's not how a returning customer should be treated. As a consequence, I have found other cake suppliers online, so will give them a go for my next order.”

“Despite giving a 4-star review, the company keep on bothering me to edit my review. So here it is, edited. Stop. Wasting. My. Time. Original follows. Limited gluten free selection, but the gluten free bakewell was delicious, very good cake, but made a bit overly sweet from all the icing. Delivered in excellent condition and on-time.”

“For the money I thought the cake was quite below par. It arrived a little battered and melted and once opened it was quite stale and dry. I’ve read good things about the cakes from here, but as a cake for someone’s birthday I’d say this was quite underwhelming.”

“My biskie box was not delivered on the chosen day, my daughter's birthday. The delivery company then held the biskies until redelivery Monday. The product had a shelf life of 3 days refrigerated but they arrived 4 days after dispatch so I had to throw them away! The event was missed and the biskies spoiled. Cutter and Squidge offered a voucher for the order price, which seemed rather sneaky; a refund would be more appropriate since they were for a special occasion which had passed.”

“Ordered cakes and prosecco for a birthday. Was told day of delivery that the prosecco was not available so it wasn't delivered until very late the following day, completely missing the point of the order! And also causing more disruption for the person whose birthday it was. Should have been told the prosecco wasn't available at time of ordering, as then would have ordered something else instead.”

“Ordered 2 cakes (Victoria strawberry sponge cake & chocolate fudge caramel cake ), delivery swift and packaged superbly. The cakes looked and tasted ok, not awful but in our opinion nothing special, it was disappointing. I don’t feel like the cakes delivered value for money at a snip under £60 for 2 6inch cakes.”
