“After ordering a pair of trousers from decathlon I received the incorrect size. From returning and receiving new pairs it totalled to 7 pairs being delivered to my house which wasted my time and effort in returning them. The fault was then discovered on the website which was displaying US sizing but once going through production they were sending EU sizes.. I received zero compensation for my wasted time and effort. I have finally got the correct size after numerous phone calls and emails. In the future I will not be shopping with decathlon.”

Thank you for leaving a review. The sizes advertised on our website are universal sizes as these are recognised in all countries however because Decathlon are a French company the label is different. This means that you were receiving the correct size. I can see that you were refunded your return postage costs as a goodwill gesture in this case. “Generally all the products I have bought from Decathlon have been great - fantastic value and lasted really well. Only one exception was a recently purchased ladies swimming costume.... the stitching/seams on this must be poorly done as they rubbed my skin red raw. Wasn't expensive so not worth the petrol to return, but very poor.”

“The delivery was fast and the bike was easy to prepare, although on of the tools that came by broke in the process which made me buy one the next day. There were also some pieces that I couldn't find a use for them, they seem to be spare parts, but since there is no inventory list or instructions with the bike is difficult to know. Since I got the bike about 3 weeks ago, I've been riding to work daily and it works just fine. I'm happy with my purchase so far, the only thing I missed when I got it was some kind of extra info within the box for preparing the bike.”

“I have been Decathlons biggest supporter for many year's have introduced my family and friends to your store and products. very dissatisfied with a recent click and collect item return. Despite spending £2.80 to return an item I found out only way replacement could be dealt with is through click and collect. I LIVE 100 MILES FROM MY NEAREST DECATHLON. someone needs to get a thinking cap on. I have spent hundreds of pounds in your stores all over Europe over a 15 year period.”

The reason that your replacement was required to be sent to the store was because your original order was a click and collect order and we are unable to change between different order types. “Second time ordering online. From submitting order to it being in store for collection took 9 days which in my opinion is very slow. Despite all items being "in stock" when ordering, I later received an email stating one of the items was unavailable and to go go online to amend my order. I tried this but the website wouldnt allow me to amend the order. Once the remaining items were ready to collect, the member of staff at the store only gave me one small parcel. I asked if this was all as I had ordered a set of football goals. She said that it was everything and the rest would be in separate order. I then pointed out that the parcel she gave me had parcel 2/2 on it. I had to ask her to go and look again, which she did, looking at the small soft parcels first. I then asked her to look at the boxes as a set of goalposts are likely to be larger and heavier than the smaller parcels. I am now reluctant to order from Dacathlon online as it is slow and didt provide me with what I was after. My experience with Sport Direct is far better, both for home deliveries and collect in store.”

Many of our items come from warehouses in France which is why delivery times can be longer but the estimated delivery date reflects this. Although we try and keep our stock levels accurate the system can take time to update after an order is placed. We try and notify all customers as soon as the problem is noticed and give options to make changes or be refunded. The email sent specifies you must contact customer service to do this therefore you were refunded as we did not receive any contact.
