Not sure why I’m being asked for a review because I had to cancel my order. I ordered a Sony home theatre amp. It was my first purchase from Donaghy’s. Their website said they had the item in stock and as they’re a local shop I thought I’d give them a go. Unfortunately after a couple of weeks there was no sign of the amp being delivered. I called and the member of staff explained that they were having issues sourcing the amp. He explained he’d been on with the Sony rep that very morning about my amp! Unfortunately he explained that the amp was not available anywhere and I’d have to wait at least 4 weeks to get one. I asked why their website said it was in stock and was told that they only had one and someone else bought it at exactly the same time as me! Fortunately there is another electrical business in Ballymoney who was able to supply the ‘unobtainable’ amp the very next day. To give Donaghy’s some credit, they did arrange my refund very quickly.

Ordered Tefal iron which it transpired they did not have in stock - failed to communicate with customer that this was indeed the case - then offered lesser model in exchange - finally gave my money back .

Faulty Dyson hot and cool fan delivered. Had to chase for information about a return and was then accused of sending a box full of books back instead of the faulty product after they had despatched the replacement and threatened with the police. A) Why didn't they inspect the contents of the return before despatching new one and B) they really need to go on a customer service course. In case you're wondering, I sent the faulty one back so all their accusations were unfounded and insulting. Well, you did ask for a review. New one working fine so far.

I ordered a steam iron one week ago and my order was accepted plus account debited . There was no further communication for the rest of the week and , when I enquired , was informed that the model I ordered was no longer in stock despite it still being advertised as available on Amazon !! I was then offered an alleged equivalent upgrade replacement which was (1) cheaper than the product I had originally ordered (2) had identical specification !! Dreadful customer service and feeling very let down as I always try and support home grown businesses

I don't know how the product is or where it is. The company with which they send it sucks and my parcel it's lost somewhere. No costumer service or any help.

Sent a faulty Dyson v7 - on initial contact tried tell me it is Dysons responsibility, contact Dyson then referred back to Donaghy as it hadn't reached the 28 days. Few more emails later I'm sent a returns slip and date for collection - fortnight later I am still waiting on a refund. My emails are not being responded to and when I call, even though i use the websales number the man answering the call tells me i have called the wrong number and that someone will call me. Not a good experience & very poor communication. Like I am asking for something beyond my rights!!

When placed the order the product was marked as in stick. 2 weeks later after making phone call I learned that there were delays with the supplier and the order not even shipped yet. Disgrace

I ordered a freezer from this company and they cancelled it the same day without the courtesy of advising me. Their site states free delivery but I discovered they wanted a further £100 to deliver to Perthshire, Scotland
