Sending an older person to deliver a tall freezer & I had to help him (I’m female & 72). Is so stupid. A 2 man should have been sent. I’m the customer so I do not think much of customer service. Will not use again

It all went well until something went wrong. Then it's all the customers fault. 3 replaced ovens due to internal damage. Interestingly, Donaghy Brothers accepted the damage as either in-transit damage or poor quality control from manufacturer however when I requested compensation for the cost of having the oven re-fitted 3 times, they accused me of causing the damage. How does that work?? Not a fair outcome but one I will be pursuing with the Trading Standards. Its a shame cause the staff on the phone are friendly, but don't be blinded by that.

Be warned, this is not an electronics business as they claim but a sharade. They undercut the market with prices that are a telltale - they are not interested in the profit but in collecting your sensitive personal data especially for high value purchases, enabling identity theft and data misuse. They advertise items they don't have and their customer service is the worst I have ever seen. Avoid to avoid disappointment.

Having heard some good things about this company, and wanting to support a local firm... I purchased what was described as a new Actifry. It came in a very rough looking dented box which was the first sign. On opening it was clear this item was second hand, their was finger marks all over the item and to my horror, dried on grease inside the cooking part. One very angry and disappointed customer!

I waited 12 days for delivery,the courier was not allowed to remove packing or put the fridge freezer in situ he also said he was supposed to leave it outside my front door.and I had to sign that he had removed the packaging and checked it was working. Which was difficult as I am in a wheelchair. I would not recommend this company,if I had paid a tiny bit more I could have had it install next day by a.o

I'm sure if everything goes smoothly this company is fine. Sadly, I ordered the wrong hob from them, the product number was one digit difference. The packaging, or flimsy box it came in, had been damaged by the courier company who delivered it. Donaghy Bros would take the brand new hob back, but would deduct 20% of the value for 'over handling'. Citizens Advice advised me this was not right but the company continued to insist. The response I got when I pointed this out was: "My manager will allow you to send the item back but you need to organise the item to come back to us and are totally responsible for the condition of the item . I.e. if it gets smashed it’s your responsibility . You will also be deducted money due to the condition of the packaging ." I have pasted this from their email. I took this as a threat and did not return the item, choosing to keep it.

We ordered a £700 cooker hood from Donaghy Bros in advance of a kitchen rebuild, this arrived a couple of weeks ago. Our kitchen fitters opened the (undamaged) box to find that the hood was dented down one side, so we contacted customer services only to be told that as per their T's & C's all damage should be reported within 48 hours. After an initial email conversation where it was insinuated that we had damaged the item ourselves we asked to speak to their customer services manager. We spoke to him once then he did not even have the courtesy to call back himself, leaving one of his staff to send an email instead, repeating the T's & C's mantra - quite dismissive & very poor service in my opinion. As we told them by email, we feel somewhat disappointed & unfairly treated. Especially as I'm sure it would have been relatively trivial to replace the item & covered by their insurance I would imagine. Lastly I get the feeling these guys are 'box-shifters' & so will not be using them again, nor would I recommend them - especially for purchases in the hundreds/thousands of pounds.

I ORDERED, PAYPAL PAYMENT TAKEN, TWO DAYS LATER PAYPAL INFORM ME MY PAYMENT HAS BEEN RETURNED. NO CONTACT AT ANY TIME FROM DONAGHY BROS UNTIL TWO WEEKS LATER A REQUEST TO WRITE A REVIEW.

I reported a fault with the cooker hood some weeks ago and was told the manufacturer would be in touch directly to address this. Heard nothing and although I have tried to contact the manufacturer directly, they won’t act without authorisation from Donaghy Bros. So I am sick with faulty appliance. Would not use them again.

Sorry folks but don't advertise what you cannot deliver on... ordered a Dyson V8 Absolute to be told that they could not fulfil the order.... poor stock management and website still says its available.

I ordered a hoover condenser dryer on line only to find out that Donaghys had none in stock and it had to be ordered in. I agreed a delivery date on three separate occasions over the course of two weeks and the dryer never arrived. I cancelled the order and went elsewhere and received a dryer within one day. Donaghys should make it clear to online customers if stock is available prior to ordering and improve reliability of agreed delivery dates.

After 4 changes of date I did not manage to get my appliance as they could only deliver kerbside in the small print- a 200pound fridge freezer !!

Despite ordering it on the 3rd of July, I still haven't received it on the 19th of July. There is no communication from the office and I had to ring a couple of times to see what is happening. I am told that it will be ready for dispatch this thursday, and may be I'll have it delivered next week. This is exactly what I was told last week, and I am still waiting! Let's see what happens....

Before ordering from rhis vendor make sure you call first and verify they have the item in stock. Ordered a Dyson fan on the 20th of June and got an email on 23rd saying the supplier had let Donaghy Bros down and the fan would be delayed until the week of 3 July. I cancelled it.

Unfortunately in your case we were let down by our supplier who was supposed to send you a replacement trim for your fire. Our Web sales department did follow up with them several times however they failed to provide you with the parts you needed in a timely fashion.
