I ended up with Easirent through the broker CarJet.Pickup was fairly ok apart from the usual stuff you encounter from most car hire companies; Long time waiting for shuttle bus, car I ordered wasn’t available, standard insurance that wasn’t mentioned anywhere on my rental agreement with CarJet, and the pre authorised excess deposit that was supposed to be only pre authorised and not charged to my credit card. The car was a recent model and any scratches or marks were pointed out and signed off on my myself.Returning the car was an absolute nightmare. There was a queue of disgruntled and angry customers and I knew right then and there that my pain was about to begin. An employee inspected the car for damages and insisted that there was additional marks and scratches on the car. He kept pushing a piece of paper under my nose demanding I sign admitting to the extra damage.I produced my paperwork and pointed out that those marks were already there at time of pickup. The employee then accused me of lying and actually said “Anybody could have written that”I suggested that my yellow receipt was an actual copy and told him to go find the original which he eventually did.He then wrote”No additional damage” on my receipt and told me the excess damage amount of €2200.00 would not be charged to my card. When I went to the airport for my International flight I logged on to my account and the amount had been deducted upon my arrival 4 weeks previously. Upon my return home I sent numerous emails through Manage My Booking which were unanswered.4 weeks went by and I escalated those to a Regional Manager and had two replies stating my refund had been put in the system.Four weeks later I still hadn’t received my refund and when I tried to send another enquiry and was unable to because my maximum number of complaints had been reached and there would be no more communication until one of the previous cases was resolved! A bit hard when they don’t answer you to begin with. Upon reading reviews it would seem that my experience is not unique and people are being scammed every day.Avoid this company like the plague.

Can only agree with all the negative comments that have been written on this page. We hired a car, had to pay £1500 in deposit and it was never returned until we claimed it back from the bank. They gave us a car which was heavily damaged on the inside, and quite used from the outside. Moreover, 50km into the journey, the car broke down due to an engine failure. This cost us a full day and a lot of stress, this despite my parents being in town for just 2 days. Our replacement car was a 9(!) seater for 3 people. We had no follow up coming back to us with an apology or whatshowver. The problem started already when picking up the car, where tey were extremely reluctant to combine my father credit card and have me on the ordering form. Something that has never been an issue at one of my many rentals at more reputable firms. AVOID COMPANY AT ALL COST! IT GIVES YOU HEADACHES!

This company will come up with any excuse to charge you more at the desk even if you have everything pre-paid in advance. I had a full insurance purchased through Rentalcars.com but they made me purchase Easirent full insurance as well (£140), otherwise they wouldn't release my car saying the debit card I booked with wasn't valid. Yes, the same card I paid with and had done a millions times with other companies. Absolute scammers! Avoid this company, you have been warned.

Fraud Company with unproffesional people to fight if you ask them any more clarifications. Just demand your money from Financial ombudsman services and make a complaint... There you go They will fine them with Penalty and the company will be in review with Trading standards. Very Rude people just collect the information walk away and open a case to claim your money and compensation.

Never ever ever rent from this BS company!!!! It’s nowhere near Gatwick and I am going to Report them to trading standards for false description under the trade descriptions act. You have to take a **cking taxi to get there costing you an additional £15 pounds or add £4 per passenger to get to their offices. The bus driver will only take cash so better of taking a taxi.... fu**ing A hole company and **cking Rentalcars.com for conning me into hiring from these shi*bags :(

I was told after returning the car that my deposit of £1250 would be refunded within 28 days , it`s now been 39 days . They don`t often answer the phone but when they do it`s a different excuse each time . They simply don`t want to give you your deposit back , just don`t use them whatever you do .

If you are considering Easirent as a cheap car rental option, DO NOT. I say this as someone who has travelled a lot for work and used numerous services across many countries. They are the WORST service I have used. For a start, we arrived at their shop at Heathrow only to be told our car is not there. They did give us an upgrade to a bigger car (after making a really big deal about this). However, we did not want an upgrade as bigger car equals greater liability. We also discovered that insurance is not included, which is contrary to just about every other service in the UK. Expect to add 18gbp/day to your bill. Additionally, their services are FALSELY ADVERTISED. We booked the car via Orbitz with unlimited miles. However, upon arriving at Easirent we were told that this should not have been option because they never offer unlimited miles. They did agree to make a note to our file to ensure we did not pay for extra miles. However, upon returning the car our original contract via Orbitz was not offered. Further, the manager (Rakesh) was extremely rude and rather aggressive towards my wife. Incidentally, we witnessed this manager be rude to other customers, and supply customers with cars which are filthy. It gets worse. We subsequently were charged 55gbp for them having to send us an email. The email corresponded to us apparently not paying to pass Watford Tunnel. We provided the customer service person(Connor Scott) with proof that we did indeed pay. He checked the receipt and agreed that we had in fact paid, but refused to pay back the 55gbp. I might add that it took multiple emails and a deal of time before Connor sent the refusal. Lastly, Connor would not comment on our having to pay extra mileage, but instead recommend we contact an additional customer service person. That person (Oleta), simple responded “As you booked through Expedia/Orbitz the refund would have to be requested via them as they were aware of our mileage allowance.” That is, Oleta agreed that there had been false advertising, but was not prepared to remedy. And this is despite the original folks we checked out the car from stating that this fee would not be charged. I conclude, DO NOT USE. Please share this email widely, as others should not have their holiday/vacation clouded by this awful service.

No customer service. On returning car. Customer service rep went to check for damage and went straight to front left tyre without looking at the rest of the car and stated that the tyre had been damaged and charge £175 for for £35 tyre. Do not use this company .

This Company like WizzAir in car rental business. Give you the bait for cheap car and charge you for EVERYTHING. AVOID at all cost. You save yourself time and hassle if you just go for big firms like europcar or hertz. I`ve booked a car waited one and half hour while i was told all sort of bulls**t about my debit card and what kind of insurance i need. Bloke showed me a piece of paper about the insurances they having. There was £4 differences between what i have and what they "suggest". So i thought yeah go for it, and he put the info away and telling me its only for 31+ rental, in my case is £20 plus / day.

When de arrived at the airport we phones easirent to come and pick us up. They said in 10 minutes. Not true, it took more than 40 minutes! We were waiting outside in the cold and dark. Then they requested out contract and the credit card of the driver. Apparently my husband's card is a début card and not a credit card. So I suggested they use my credit card, the one which was used to pay for the réservation. No they said, it had to be the driver's card. Well, then put me in as the driver, no again, they can't change the contract! By this time I was fuming! I wanted to leave and go back to the airport to rent a car from Europcar or one of the burger compagnies even though our location had already been mais for by MY card. It was late and very dark and both of our mobile phones had gone dead. They didn't offer to help charge them, no they just said "we've just looked on Europcar's website, there are no cars available. Then they started to show me the prices of additional insurance per day if we took the car - £37 surplus per day! We tried to make our case, to no avail, even if I had already paid for the location and had all the necessay documents. After a while, I couldn't see us stranded in the middle of nowhere (their office is situated out of the airport grounds) so I accepted to pay three times the original price in supplement. I should have looked up the comments on this company, it would have saved me a lot of time, money and worry. Never again! I've learnt ou lesson. Stay clear of this company who works with Rental car.com.

Booked hire car via Rentalcars.com from Glasgow airport as it was cheaper to hire a car and drive to our accommodation than to get a taxi (total cost of £71 including insurance). When picking up the car, the Easirent rep tried to sell additional insurance which would reduce my excess. I explained I’ve already purchased insurance which would ‘simply refund any excess’ if I was involved in an accident. The rep said the insurance I’d purchased was difficult to get money back from and it would be better if I purchased the insurance he was trying to sell. This worked out at £120 for 3 days so more expensive than the car hire itself. I gave a firm ‘no thanks’ and then the rep started selling the fuel option. Again, a ‘no thanks’ from me. They charged a total of £1,600 on my credit card for the excess (£1,500) and fuel deposit (£100). When I returned the car, I was told it would take 3-5 days to refund the £1,600. In the end, it turned out to be 28 days. They didn’t actually take the money. It was charged as a pending transaction so my credit limit was reduced by £1,600 but no transaction was showing on my credit card. I spoke to Easirent who confirmed the refund had been proceed. I rang my bank a number of times to find out why the refund was taking so long. My bank were eventually able to find a date had been set for the refund. This was set by Easirent for 28 days after I returned the car (!). From start to finish, and for 28 days later, the whole Easirent experience is one I will never repeat. Finally, beware of reviews on rentalcars.com. I wrote a review 3 weeks ago which still hasn’t been put up. There have been other reviews put up since then which have been more positive than my review. Seems like they are filtering reviews to show only positive ones to get a higher overall score.

Easirent is BY FAR the worst rental company I have every used, and I frequently rent cars on our trips. Without asking when picking up the car, they have added an ‘Easirent’ insurance to our account, although we we’re already fully covered by a Rentalcars insurance. Only after coming back home they charged us the extra 150 pounds for the Easirent insurance. After several attempts, both over email and phone, they are refusing to refund this. One of the worst customer service I have ever experienced..a part from the fact that it seemed they deal with these complaints often. I almost think they are ‘scamming’ people in this way on purpose; offering a low rental price, but then charging extra later. I would definitely avoid at all cost!
