“Horrible customer service. The individuals working at the facility were rude, yelling across the room at each other and other customers. They had just relocated to the location and it looked as if they were running a scam service. The floors were bare concrete, the two desks were set up on each side of the room, and there were three chairs for customers. The line of people waiting as around 6 people and we all stood there until we were called to be helped. It took about 30 minutes to be helped. When it was my turn, I was asked to sign three documents, show proof of insurance and driver's license. They then told me that if there was any damage to the windows that I would be responsible for the cost, they will not go through the insurance.
When the keys were handed to us we were told to make a video of the car for proof of the current damage. We were then told the type of vehicle and walked out of the facility by ourselves. No thank you or have a great day.
Apon finding the car we immediately noticed that the cat had front end damage. We recorded the damage and entering the car to find that it was filthy. The seats were stained, the dashboard and steering wheel were grimy and had dirt covering them.
When wee returned the car, an individual stood at the garage door and bellowed for us to bring the car to him. He had us sign a document and let us know that we were good to go.
The transportation to and from the airport was interesting to say the least. They had 1 transport running and the process took about 1/2 hour each way.
I will never rent from this company again.”
“This company will charge you in a agreement with a bundle deal and charge you again in person. Paid for a rental left stranded in a foreign state. Won't ever use this company or recommend it over actual rental companies”
“Rented Easirent JAX. NIghtmare! Couldn't find shuttle pickup and no one answers the phone at Easirent. Finally get to the shadiest office ever and wait 45 mins. for world's slowest rental agent to help merely 2 people in front of us. When finally my turn, I Had to repeat all info that I had already entered when reserving the car. What a waste!! When we get into car, immediately warning light "Engine Malfunction, service immediately" is on. When I tell the agent he assures me "there is nothing wrong with that car." It idled very rough, but otherwise ran OK. Return was equally challenging (SLOW). I won't use them nor the third party site(Expedia) again, it was so bad.”
“We reserved a car from Easirent (through a 3rd party website) to pick up after arriving at the Houston Hobby airport. We waited about 5 minutes outside and then asked another shuttle driver for info and was told we had to call Easirent for a shuttle, which we did. It took many calls over about 30 more minutes to get an answer and my husband was told the shuttle would be there in 10-15 minutes. When 20 minutes came and went, we got an Uber instead and made other arrangements for transportation while in town. Overall, we were left waiting out in the heat being a mosquito buffet for just shy of an hour with NO effort from Easirent to pick us up. Thankfully I did not prepay for the rental but I'm still watching my credit card to be sure nothing was charged for the weekend reservation.”
“Do not rent from Easirent! NIGHTMARE! 1)They have bad customer service.
2) They charge for damages not caused by you months later. AVOID EASIRENT AT ALL COST! NOT WORTH IT!”
“We arrived at the pickup location at the Phoenix airport just as the shuttle was leaving. Assuming it would be right back we waited for nearly an hour and half. We called customer service twice and were told both times the shuttle would be there within 5-10min. Also, after calling to complain to the manager, she hung up on us. The shuttle never arrived. Many passengers were left with the choice of getting a taxi service to the Easirent Car Rental. After getting an Uber we arrived to the location only to have to write our name down on a list. The customer service was horrible and we received no discount for any of the troubles. It took us at least another hour and half to receive a vehicle. This company is the worst rental car company I have ever dealt with. I would not recommend them based off my experience and several others. They deserve a zero as a rating!”
“I gave them one star only because I couldn't give them zero. First of all (more of an fyi) Easirent is a company who’s Phoenix airport pickup is actually outside of the airport. You have to walk to the visitor parking lot and wait for a shuttle. The shuttle then takes you to an off-site office. There is another company that does this as well, but the difference is that they have 3 shuttles come in the time that it takes Easirent to send one. When we arrived at the rental place we were with 3 other families. We were informed that they only had 1 car available. We were informed that they had “40 cars that were supposed to be returned” but that were still out. They claimed that they had no idea when a car would be available. After waiting 30-45 minutes they were able to find a car for us to use. Prior to obtaining the car, we had to pay what was explained to us as a “holding fee”. Due to the craziness of the experience and the extensive amount of time we had spent just getting the car we admittedly did not pay as close attention as we should have to what we were signing. A few weeks after returning the car I kept checking to see if the amount had been refunded to our credit card and it hadn’t. Upon further investigation what we had signed and paid for was actually additional insurance. This was insurance that we didn’t need (as we had already purchased additional insurance, plus we had our own coverage) and wouldn’t have agreed to had we understood and paid attention to what we were signing. I attempted to explain the situation and receive at least a partial refund, but they refused. Why didn’t they have it in their system that we had already purchased additional insurance? Or did they know and they had us purchase more anyway. And they never asked for proof of our personal car insurance.
While we were renting the car we realized that the registration in the glovebox did not match the license plates that were on the car. The registration was for different plate numbers on Florida plates. The plates on the car were Texas plates. As soon as I realized this I called the Phoenix office. The first thing the woman recommended was for us to come back to the rental office. I informed her that we were over 2 hours away and that we were not going to waste time and money on a mistake that they had made. I informed her that they needed to bring someone to us and bring the correct registration. The woman stated that I would need to speak with a manager. She told me that I should leave a message, explaining the situation and that someone would call me THAT DAY to resolve the issue. I never heard from anyone. I will NEVER use this company again and would highly recommend that you don’t either.”
“Quote doubled when we went to pick up the car. Ended up leaving the airport by Taxi and renting from another company for half of the price. Never again!”
“Never again will I rent from Easirent. Called from the pickup location in Austin TX. They said they were closed so we were stranded at the airport. The next day the shuttle took me about 15 miles away from the airport to their location. Even though I was paying for my reservation which began the previous evening they said I needed to pay a late pickup fee. The car was in bad shape. The air conditioning did not work so we were driving through Texas in the heat with hot air blowing on us! Could not turn off the heater! Had to stop periodically to cool down. Stay away from this company!”
“at IAH...On average wait time to get a vehcile is 3 hrs, staff is not very helpful. Instead of giving a car they try to have you givethem 5 star review. Thier car rental prices are low but bad service. Regardless you make booking and checkin in advance or checkin at site still there is wait of few hours before the get you a vehcile.”
“They did not have my car available and told me they would upgrade for free. They charged me $115 upgrade fee that I never signed off on. I contacted the manager and was told she would contact corporate and take care of it. Never contacted me or gave me a refund. I have contacted the state attorney and they told me to file a fraud complaint. Monday morning I will do so and encourage anyone else who has negative dealings with this company to do so. The more complaints the better chance of action.”
“RUN!!!! Worst shuttle service. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! They scam you on fees. Bully the elderly into paying for insurance they don't need. The three women working at the newish Phoenix Az spot are the worst representation of helpful customer service EVER. There was a poor woman from Italy desperately trying to get her car, manage her family, there is nowhere to sit, and communicate with women that only want to talk to each other and BLAST Videos. There is a sign up log when you walk in but you wouldn't know it because there is nothing to indicate it and no one there will tell you. So you can stand in line as long as you want, and with 2 people helping you, the third left in the middle of a line of people stating "That was my last car", you wont be helped because...you didn't sign the LOG. THEN...there is nowhere to indicate where to stand outside to wait for the Shuttle so when he arrived he pulled 45 feet further forward and YELLED out the door "WELL, if you are going to all stand where I need to park you DESERVE to walk to get on the bus" DIRECT QUOTE
I have been renting cars for years...this is the WORST I have ever seen. They need to go back to Miami. That is where this branch flooded in from and imported many of its workers because no one here wanted to work for them, and they wont pay Airport fees so they cannot be onsite. The shuttle drivers own words
RUN...JUST RUN”
“Do yourself a favor- JUST DON'T do business with these lowlife bottom feeders! This company is truly the WORST in every way possible. Part 1- getting our car took 3 hours, it's disorganized, managed by morons. They make you get your declaration page to your insurace (their way of trying to force you to buy their insurance,.) anyone not tech literate was just screwed. You had to sign in online and scan you license in to system. Counter help was ok but toallt divorced from what is happening around them. Thwy give no warning, diection or guidance to the crowd in front of them.
Part 2 - the car. It seemed ok, was new chevy trax...untill we tried to gas it up. It would NOT let us put gas in from the pump. We did not have enough gas to get to the airport and car return.”
“Check the dates on your drivers license. It must show that you have had it for a year. I changed my name and the re-issue was less than 12 months so they wanted to charge me extra. Crooks.”
