They are awful and I felt like I had been cheated. My car rental was £32 for 26 hours which was fine. There was a big green tick next to insurance included. When I arrived to pick up the car, the guy tells me I need to pay a deposit for the insurance and said I can "RISK £1020 deposit or pay £52 extra for a damage waiver". During the booking process on expedia there was no mention of a deposit or £52. I even checked when I go back to the hotel later that day. Easirent were quick to blame expedia however their website was no better... it's hidden. Imagine I did not have £1020 (not that I'd risk that money with them after this). Shocking company, I will never use again. Avoid avoid avoid!

Totally inefficient company. Hired a car from Dublin airport and had to wait over half an hour for pick up (I called 3x having been told it would take 10 minutes). On returning car I was told I hadn't filled the car up with petrol - I disputed this and waved the receipt at the operative. I won't use them again.

Please heed the reviews about this company! Their car hire prices really are too good to be true. We were suckers, taken in by the online price, but on arrival to collect the car it jumped up with hidden costs to much more than what we would have paid with reputable companies such as Avis, Europcar and Hertz. After 40minutes of my partner stuck faffing about in their portable cabin office with payment issues I started googling the company for reviews - to have my growing concerns confirmed by others. Our dealings were playing out the same way. We made the brave decision to walk away, travelling back to Luton airport (a good 15-20minute journey by transfer bus). Despite losing our online booking deposit to Easirent it still worked out cheaper to go with Europcar (booked through easyJet's website) and we got a bigger-class car! We also had peace of mind that we weren't going to have to deal with the false damages claims that regularly crop up in reviews. They really are not a trustworthy company, please don't give them the benefit of the doubt.

This was by far the least professional car rental company I have ever dealt with. I booked the car on Obitz.com and when I arrived at my scheduled pickup time, the line was out the door. We waited nearly 3 hours to finally get a car that was far smaller than the one we reserved. In addition to this, there were up-charges and hidden fees everywhere. All told, we paid 5x what Orbitz.com said the cost would be. This includes a 95£ deposit for gas that was only partially refunded. Once we finally got on the road we got a flat tire only to find that the spare was flat as well and needed to be replaced. Due to this, my 5 member family was stranded for the night on a country road late in the evening. It took over 24 hours to get this fixed and back on the road. What a nightmare! Others may report a good experience with this company, but if you choose to rent from them you will likely be very disappointed.

Very haphazard process of car rental at Heathrow branch. Too many request concerning rental , proof of address, Boarding pass, passport and payment receipt. I spent 1 hour trying to get a car after a long flight. I thought Autoeurope would have sent all these details to Easirent. They now by stealth take fuel deposit of £95 pounds after you have almost completed the rental agreement. Even though I chose the option to refuel the car. At this stage , you have no option to back out because your initial rental price has been taken upfront by Autoeurope. Car had so many scratches I had to reject it because I would have been stung for £1250. Car deposit for a class B car is £1250. Fuel deposit is not refunded until 5 days after you have returned car. Spokesman said it's banking process. What a lie! Overall, a very bad experience. I'll stick to the big names. Easirent is a lot of hassle. Do not bother.

I had two types of full coverage auto insurance, Easirent staffers said. We're not good enough, charged me an extra $205 inc tax for triplicate unnecessary coverage, a real scam

Friendly but slapdash service at Easirent Southampton. Waited 40 minutes for our car and both the interior and exterior were dirty. Car was booked via argus car hire and their terms and conditions do not specify that a fuel receipt has to be provided to prove the tank is full so we were told there may be a charge for this. We had to wait 20 minutes when dropping the car off before anyone could take us to the airport. You get what you pay for with this company.

If i could give a zero i would. 1. No credit card (ie you have a debit card like 99% of the uk) you have to pay full onsirance which doubles the per day rental. Suddenly not so budget anymore. It takes an age to get to their affice by the airport bus. I rrally really wish i'd gone with eurocar or sixt. Check the fine print exta extra well.

Nowhere near the airport and then took ages to be picked up. Hassle from start to finish with sorting the actual car out- with the original quote spiralling out of control. We were then charged a significant fee as we couldn't provide a receipt for filling the tank (despite filling this up less than 2 miles away) when we dropped the car off. The attitude of the manager was disgusting. No ability to listen to what we had to say- just bullied us into paying the fee. He was incredibly rude. There's a reason why certain companies monopolise the car hire industry. Avoid these cowboys like the plague and stick.

When I went to collect my car I was told that I needed 2 forms of address id as well as my driving license. When my husband could provide these (after sitting in our car for 20 mins and then emailing these), as the car was booked in my name I had to pay extra to add an additional driver. None of this was visible on our booking.

I'm currently in the easirent office in Edinburgh. Problems 1 I don't use a credit card so have been charged an additional £70 on a 48 hour hire, trebling quoted price. 2 I've been waiting 90 minutes to collect my car. 3 they've been arguing with another customer about his lack of id-they bizarrely insist on utility bills as id. Avoid

The car broke down. They didn't care. I missed a concert because of this. I spent from around 1:30pm to 10pm with the AA recovering me from Scotland to Manchester. I was shattered. Then when I asked to extend the hire for one more day it was a hassle. I rang the branch who told me to call reservations who were closed. I rang back he then told me to do it online. Tried several attempts it wouldn't work. Rang back told them I wouldn't be back in time as I hadn't been able to reserve for an extra day. They told me a report will go to the police if I don't have it back on time (although I'd spent over 45 mins trying to extend it ). I'd explained to him what an awful experience I had he then told me that I am coming across patronising! I then cried I was so stressed. Terrible experience and would never recommend them. It's not worth saving a few quid and choosing them I'll stick to enterprise in the future.

Rip off! They are "cheap" when it comes to cost of rental per day but they force you to pay all sorts of extras like insurance (even you have your own like i did: icarhireinsurance) or they require ridiculously high deposit of £1200 from your credit (not debit) card. If not such large deposit available on your card they simply won't release a car for you without paying full insurance or reducing excess to zero by paying another ridiculously high fee per day! Other rental companies in the UK take deposit of £300-400 for a compact-standard car and do not insist you must take insurance. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Go to any other rental company at the airport! you will pay little more for renting but much less on any extras you do not need!

Terrible company!!!! Never again, the worst car renting experience ever in 25 years! Misleading, treating a customer as a potential thief, charging imaginary charges, absolutely awful.

I had booked the car online and was quoted £75 for three days plus £25 for an additional driver and £60 for the insurance. I paid a booking fee of £50 and expected to pay the remaining £85 on arrival. However, we were then charged a further £135.00 when arrived to collect the car - far more than I was quoted online. I received no invoice to outline what we had paid and have the feeling that we have been ripped off. I would not recommend this company and i would not use them again.

Absolutely stay away from renting with Easirent esspecially if you are travelling from Canada or USA and intend on using your credit card insurance. I booked my reservation with the intention of using my credit card insurance like I always do and even received an email from the company confirming that I was able to do this. When I arrived at the Edinburgh Airport location to collect the car I was told that I was unable to use my credit card insurance and I had to pay an extra 15 Dollars per day to bring down my liability and utilize their insurance. They told me that if I did not I would not be legal to drive the car! Even though a week before I was informed via email that in fact I would be covered and I even showed the email tot he staff on site. I spent over 1 hour arguing with staff until I gave up as they were not willing to help. Once I went out to get the car, it was not even ready and was still being cleaned. Absolutely horrible company and I will never rent with them again! Save yourself the hassle and go with a more reliable car rental company! Even now, when I contacted customer support, they are not interested in helping. Never Again....

Was told no need to pay m50 charges. Theres a massive posters on easy rent Dublin airport branch warning customers not to double pay toll charges. I've asked if I should pay. Answer-no this will be debit from your card. We will pay it for you, said with a smile. . Received email today tolls paid plus 20 euros administration charge. Charge trebles the tool cost! Avoid avoid avoid. I've complained and will pursue.
