“SELLERS BEWARE. I heard horror reports for Sellers on Bay - no rights, funds held for crazy lengths of time - but stupidly decided to go ahead. Sold my guitar as lost my job due to Covid19. Buyer in U.S. received my guitar on 25 March. Very happy with purchase. Ebay states new sellers may have their paypal money released 24 hours after buyer receives item, or 7 days after. Thank you Ebay for playing "god" with my money - over 2 weeks LATER. Out of work, and Ebay released my money only today 10th April. I asked for special empathy due to my position ... NO!! Ebay, no other company could refuse a persons right to THEIR money like you. My BANK was more empathetic. Disgusting. 25th March - my sale was AUD$4700.00 .... due to failing US$, today 10th April just AUD$4290.00. Double whammy - no access to much needed funds to pay bills, and $400 less due to falling exchange rate over the 3 weeks they held my money. SELLERS BEWARE!!!”

“Do Not; I repeat DO NOT use EBAY !! I have four orders that were not delivered, and the sellers have yet to refund my money, which they said they would do. One went as far as to ask me to close my case, and then he would refund the money. EBAY has NO customer service available by phone or internet to help the buyers! I still have not received a refund going through Paypal now!”

“eBay have seriously let me down & very unhelpful on this occasion. I bought item (order no 8756081251227581) a week ago. Item should have been posted but hasn't. Seller won't communicate and I'm out of pocket of nearly £150. eBay keep telling me item will be posted and I'll just have to keep waiting - so unfair. It's suspected seller marked as posted only for PayPal to clear the payment!”

“eBay is protecting dishonest sellers, deleting negative feedback, posting dishonest seller ratings and hiding this behavior. eBay is putting revenue from sellers above honesty and fair business practices. They are getting worse.”

“Now charging tax on used items purchase and not disclosing it until after you make the purchase. You then have to request to cancel the transaction. Which I did. DO NOT buy used items and pay tax. It is not owed they are collecting it on everything just because it is easier for THEM!. Done with Ebay.”

“I was scammed by a Chinese seller price gouging on toilet paper. Ebay and PayPal were no help in returning item for a refund. Avoid using them. Amazon is a better choice. Better yet shop local and support your community.”

“They shamed me for voicing my disability in an email. I was sending an email due to bids that I couldn't pay for at the time, explaining how I shop to cope with my borderline personality disorder, then I was immediately banned from my account. Treated like a criminal that sold a gun on eBay. I literally cried for an hour wondering why I was in this situation. It's a sad day when you find out they treated their sellers better than the customers. Don't even get me started with the trying to receive an email from them”

“They banned me for maybe being hacked when I wasn't hacked at all. They did this after I made a purchase and did absolutely nothing to ensure me that my purchase was cancelled. They absolutely refused to talk to me. They accept Klanra payments and that's what I used to make my purchase. I'm guessing since I was signed in on my eBay app when I tried to sign in though Klanra it through up red flags on at eBay and they banned me for life. They gave absolutely no option to call or email them to fix the issue. They never sent a confirmation email after I bought items off their site as a guest because it wouldn't let me log into my account. I was unaware that I was banned at the time of making a 70.00 purchase. The purchase is processing in my Klanra account, but I never got a confirmation email from eBay for that purchase. I've tried everything to make sure it's is cancelled and they will not respond to me at all. I've tried calling and the phones are down, I've tried messenger and they won't answer. I've tried posting tweets on their Twitter, and posting comments on their Facebook page and nothing. I can't email them because I am banned. I don't not recommend them at all.”
