Definitely DO NOT SELL on ebay, unless you are fully aware of their fee and pricing policies. Meaning how much will you pay for posting a sale item. You will always get an invoice, despite you have no idea you singed for one. Sometimes can get very expensive one (sale of cars, etc.). I am done with their practices and hiding fee structure somewhere deep in their agreement.

I got an empty box instead of camera I ordered. I paid 510GBP. I was told multiple times on the calls with customer service that I will get a refund. I'm attaching a transcript from one of the chat with ebay, where I'm explicitly told that I will get the refund. The last time I spoke to them was yesterday and I was told that my refund is being processed for me and I'll get money by today's afternoon. But today I got an e-mail saying the case is closed and I won't get money back. I called again and received the same information but with different explanation. eBay = FRAUDULENT COMPANY. Stay away

Please do not go to ebay to sell your items!! Stay away!! I was selling a motherboard. I didn't offer returns because inexperienced buyers could damage the board and return it at my cost. I sold the board for $200 shipped it that day. Ebay put my money on hold for 3 weeks. Ok whatever it took a long time to get paid who cares. 1 week later the buyer asks for a refund because the board was damaged after install. I declined it is not my fault to refund an item you broke. Ebay forced me to make the return. The way they did should be illegal. Ebay charged my bank for $200. Ebay charged my paypal for $200. I was forced to pay $400 on an item that sold for $200. I logon to ebay in a panic asking what is going on. To my shock the page to check on the status of the return would not load due to an error. I call ebay and they say they have no idea what happened. My first thought was I fell for a scam but I checked the charge it was not for some sketchy place is was "ACH WEB-SINGLE EBAY INC PAYPAL ECHECK" I am a tech savvy person and am struggling to work this out. This could have been someone's grandma! please don't use eBay!

Bitz4all is a scam seller allowed to be in your website. I contact eBay about it and eBay didn’t care basically. The iPad I bought from them was faulty, seller ignored me. eBay also didn’t care. Is eBay allowing scam companies on their website on purpose? Don’t use eBay and DONT BUY FROM BITZ4ALL!!!!

I have been a customer of ebay for over 20 years. However, I will never purchase or sell from ebay EVER again. I sold a home gym on ebay and after a total loss on this gym, $1600 loss, due to damage while in transit, ebay continued to charge me $300 for a sellers fee, even after my $1600 loss. They would NOT drop the charge, giving me a new $1900 loss total. Very GREEDY and not compassionate for any of the negligence and money they cost me. They turned that $300 into collections for their free money

I switched to ePay and I regret it. Paypal is not as bad as this. This was my first transaction and Ebay cant even tell me the fees Im paying with your new ePay system. Maybe Ebay can explain to the New York State Attorney General why Im being Overcharged an extra 10 percent fees and no one can give me an explanation after 2 days. Rest assured I will not take this lightly. Ill be calling Ebay today, for the last time before I take them to court.

It's a shame there isn't a minus score. The most incompetent company I've ever come across. I'll be absolutely astounded if this company is still around in 5 years.

Do not know why you have customer service as it is practically none existent . Absolutely abysmal and no complaints procedure I thought that was a legal requirement but I suppose if you do not have one there will be no complaints. eBay support scammers and illegal activity on the site and it does not matter how you have been scammed they are not interested it is no wonder they are having to advertise for customers and trade is down. It needs regulating

Jan 16, 2021 I truly may not buy from ebay again in the US , simply with the global shipping . Packages use to sent through Canada Post No representative will respond to messages by twitter , the staff is limited . With this Covid it could go on for 4 more years , that what they say . I would buy from ebay UK but not the US . Some of the clothing I bought from ebay , I did not like so I have donated to a charitable organization like Value Village I was sorry I bought the item There are other websites you can buy use clothing from If they close down ebay , I don't think I would miss it

I dont have an account ID since I made the purchase as a guest. I purchased epoxy resin from a seller on ebay. Before I made the purchase I checked to make sure the seller was located in the usa. Seller info indicated location as USA and item shipping from Atlanta GA. Received tracking info and discovered item being shipped from CHINA. Contacted Ebay to file a complaint and also sent email to seller. Sent a 2nd email to seller and seller is not returning emails and seller has removed all items from Ebay. I have tried contacting Ebay through their site using the call me feature. Ebay is indicating that I cant do anything further until the 23rd. I am filing this complaint because I want a refund. Well according to them I have 2 wait 3 days, which I have already done. AND they also told me that if I go outside of ebay that I will loose the EBAY Money back Guarantee. I am contacting my bank and reporting this purchase as a fraudulent transaction, because in reality it actually is fraudulent. The seller misrepresented the sale right from the start and the Ebay customer service reps that I spoke with acknowledged the fact that yes the seller lied in his listing about his location and where item was being shipped from.

It is no longer safe to buy from Ebay. I bought a 5xl hoddie advertised to be equivalent to an American 3xl (which should be big on me) and it barley fits my 3 year old niece. Setting up the return I clicked "does not fit" but apparently that falls under "buyers remorse" and thus no full refund. They say I should have went to the second "more options" screen and clicked "item not as described" but since I didn't, it can not be changed so I just forfeit my money and am SOL. Horrible :(

First time using the site to sell items, 99% of people messaging are trying to scam you. first item sold the customer wanted refund before it even got there. Ebay granted it instantly claimed not enough evidence to send. can't add pictures to the responses so of course there is no evidence. when I first started selling I got a message for first month free then was charged $20.00 after that and the refund plus the interest PayPal takes off I've ended up losing money and not getting the item back. this company is a scam at best and its easy to see how its not being used nearly as much. don't recommend selling here.

Ebay is an absolute joke of a website! I really feel sorry for full time sellers. I had the displeasure of selling a video game collection on there and I literally had to end most of my listings just to "get away" because the number of scammers, fake returns, not received claims (even though the items were signed for), people telling me to send things internationally via UK forwarding companies (even though my listings state that I won't) and when I politely refuse, the negative feedback and abuse starts. When I look at the feedback these people leave for others, it's clear they try this tactic all the time... The site is un-usable, open to abuse and you get zero support from anyone at Ebay so it's easier just to end my listings and find a different way of selling my collection. I understand some things can go wrong but the crazily high number of issues and problems is extreme and not acceptable at all. I used to sell a bit about 2 years ago and had a few issues but it was nothing compared to now! I have over 1,500 feedback and it was 100% before I stared selling this time around. Now I have 3 completely unfair feedbacks which can't be removed, I have unfair "returns" coming back because the buyers changed their minds but marked it as "not described" and it's costing me a fortune, for nothing. It's simply not worth the hassle, especially for the money Ebay charge! You do get genuine buyers of course but they are quickly forgotten about with all the chancers and scammers using the site. So, unfortunately I will be closing my account and I am refusing to pay Ebay fees because I literally cannot use the service provided by Ebay, it's impossible! The "terms of service" is what I refuse to pay for. I'm not happy with the "service" and I can't use it as intended (to sell things) so I won't be paying! my solicitor actually agrees so we will be claiming personal loses, time wasted and stress from Ebay which has had an effect on my business (outside of Ebay) because I am having so much time wasted and the site doesn't work. It's a disgrace!

I purchased an item ,advertised on EBay.ie from a Lituanian website EBay fraudently issued an invoice in GB pounds thus causing additional currency transaction fees for unnecessary transfer from Purchaser payment in Euro to GBP and back to Euro to pay Seller..I investigated further by attempting to purchase a Trailer Light fitting by signing in directly on EBay Italy. discovered the payment invoice issued in GBP. I recruited Friends to visit a number of European EBay sites directly with similar outcomes. Customer service ,hilariously located in Dublin.palmed off my request to investigate by suggesting the supplier was based in UK despite the fact that the light fitting is manufactured in Italy and sold directly from an Italian distributor on EBay.IT...these practices are,in my opinion extortion and ultimately fraudulent. Please advise on my best course of action..

Zero Customer Service allows sellers to lie and cheat buyers. EBay has gone right down hill to the point you are gambling loosing your money if the seller lies. Example: seller advertised as uk seller and dispatched from uk address. Item cost $149 and not as described. Weeks of wrangling with devious seller before they agree to accept a return but says you have to return to Hong Kong and they cannot provide a paid returns label. Ebay simply accepts that and tells you to return item. Seller gives multiple company names and multiple return addresses so which do you use? Tracking not guaranteed to foreign addresses with no signatures so seller claims item not received. A nightmare! And still zero eBay Customer Service. So eBay guarantee is worthless and your money is at risk every time to you buy on fleabay.

Do not recommended ever buying off eBay too far in advance like Black Friday shopping or Cyber Monday shopping because if you have a pos seller who refuses to help you out on a defective product EBay will not help you either if it’s past 30days of receiving defective item no matter the circumstances even if it’s 1 day over the 30days
