Purchased two Chanel Sweaters- seller stated emphatically that they were authentic. Since it is a fairly moderate size cost- i had them authenticated, they were both counterfeits. Had placed an order with the seller for two more Chanel pieces- a jacket and a t shirt- also counterfeit, also sent for authentication. E Bay and Paypal would not submit my cases for refund, it was after the 30 day guarantee. I would not recommend purchasing any Chanel or any luxury items, off of E-Bay they have authentic luxury sellers online , like The Real Real, Fashionphile and Poshmark that authenticate everything and have a high sucess rating with their items. As a seller, Ebay keeps going from bad to worse. It is so stressful selling on there for a living. I jump through all the hoops, follow all the rules, my feedback is immaculate, I am a top seller and my performance is way above average, I sell really great stuff too at a good price, but I just can't catch a break. They shifted all the clothing categories around and now people are not seeing my items - I sell vintage clothing. E.g. Now when you search for a vintage dress, vintage dresses are competing with all the modern cheap stuff from China and high street items. You have to drill down into the categories on the left under 'speciality' to actually see real vintage dresses. The Vintage Dresses category does not automatically come up on the list. Ebay used to be a place where you could find unique items, like a treasure trove - now, not so much. My sales have been tanking, some weeks non-existent. I try so hard to get good placement for my items in search, I used to come up on the first search page, but now I come up on the 3rd maybe. I list new stuff every week which is supposed to help. Other sellers I know have been selling elsewhere instead and having a lot better success, I might join them. And don't start me on the awful fees (I currently pay 25% of my sales as fees!! It's becoming really unsustainable) and new payment system where you don't get your cash until 2-3 days after the sale. And they withhold your funds if you have a return request, so you're screwed. I need money to pay postage, eBay! And then there's the confusing back end where things keep getting moved around and there's not much logical sense to it. It feels cobbled together and sometimes unnecessarily complicated. I am just having an awful time being an eBay seller at the moment, and I can't see things improving. Every time they change something, my sales nosedive. I am thinking of abandoning it like so many others have, but it's my livelihood and it's a big risk. I hate being this vulnerable to a company.

I work listing items on Ebay, the process is riddled with infuriating glitches. I can't stand the site and hope they are eventually overtaken by another company.

You can blame ebay for your parcel being late as they hold your payment from the seller for up to 8 days! For no other reason than to collect the interest on sales. Was a good company, now greedy, corrupt and deceiving STAY CLEAR If you want an item quickly!!

The seller hub is a complete joke to navigate. Whoever came up with it, should quit working for Ebay. It is very user unfriendly and though I have called a week ago to ask to be put back into the old format, I am still dealing with their ancient seller hub site. Very, very dissatisfied. Can’t wait to stop using it altogether and move strictly to selling on Marketplace, Mercari and Amazon.

Ebay guarantee is BS i had them ship item to old address witch you cant just change. Sent email horizon they didnt get back to me tell was already shipped 3 days later. I emailed them same day ordered. Ebay return guarantee. Nope they sided with horizon now im out the money and no item. I even called fedex they wouldn't change address only herizon could witch they didnt. Be my last time oredering from ebay or herizon.

Wish I could rate a zero. Ebay have become utter greedy bullies. They hold on to payments, charge exorbitant rates, will not pay into my PayPal account, despite themselves accepting PayPal. Now more expensive for me to sell on PayPal. Ebay you suck.

Ebay is no longer save and they will wash there hands really quick. I maid a pretty large order for multiple items on ebay. When I got an email stating my item was delivered I looked for it it was not here I check on ebay and it said my item is in Florida but I'm in Virginia. I called ebay told them I been hack all my orders are going to wrong place,they open a case said I'll get a refund. Then told me wait 3 days for case to automatically close to get my money back,after 3 days I get and email stating no refund and no items. They can't prove that my account was hacked and there for I lost my items and my money. I used ebay for years and told them I never had a problem like been hacked and needed help they said even though I been using them for years I'm on my own and there not responsible for my personal information on ebay site. I repeatedly ask ebay so what your saying is you will not help and I lost my money and items. They refused to give me a straight answer so I kept asking and they they said "yes you lost it all so contact sellers to see if they want to do something to help you" no seller will help and ebay will not help either. Save your money don't use this site I will continue to fight this as it's not about the money for me is about doing the right thing for your customers.

Awful company. Passed from person to person who couldn't resolve anything. Spoke to 6 different people alone today spanning over 2 hours before I ended the conversation. Morons work there that can't do anything. They just want to make money and that's all they care about. Don't use this terrible site!!

This site is okay if you are a buyer but if you are a seller you are literally dumb for selling here go to Mercari get away from Ebay they are taking your money and are very unprofessional compared to Mercari.

Had account suspended as they stopped doing paypal , loyal customer over 20 years , terrible problems trying to pay £30 to clear account although payment methods set up for them to take outstanding amount & yet it there fault as they stopped paypal & the two alternative payment methods are not taking the payment out , there on line chat is a complete joke & asked to complain & just fobbed off , leaving eBay as it seems there just interested in bullying there customers & manipulating every part of the business Model to take payments , its changed big time & for the worst appalling

Sold 2 items more than three months ago still not been paid but they took there commission 1st time av sold on eBay don’t use it they are useless u can not get in touch with them would rather boil me head in a pan of stew than use them again

Order 27-07064-35952. Item 192916794072 Seller padamnabh I placed this order on May 14. It was supposed to arrive between June 3-17. I never received it. I cannot contact either eBay or the seller. The eBay website says the order number cannot be found. It says the item number cannot be found. When I look at my orders it says I have NO ORDERS. I have tried numerous times by website and telephone. What a rip-off. I will NEVER use this eBay scam again. They got me this time but won’t have another change to cheat me.

I received my refund from eBay for the purchase that I never received, but getting a refund was a nightmare and their system is setup so that most people simply give up and never get their refund. My seller seem to be not very honest, he operated on eBay since April, 2021 and by June had at least 4 customers' complaints on eBay that they never received their item and seller never replied to their inquiry. Which was also my case, but here is the trick. Seller provides the tracking number for the shipment, which says that the shipment was delivered, but the tracking info doesn't show which address it was sent to and for a consumer it's not easy to find out. Post Office doesn't share this info easily and it took me two trips to the post office and meeting a kind employee there who gave me the print-out of the details, which showed that my item was sent to the wrong street. This sounds like a scam, because the seller is supposed to use eBay label with my correct address. When I presented this info to eBay they told me that I needed to file a police report. Police naturally told me that they don't deal with issues, when the shipment was made to the wrong address. My case was closed then I appealed and I had to write to them NINE times before they finally honored their refund policy. Most people just give up and never get their refund in similar situations. MOST IMPORTANTLY is how eBay support is setup. It operates like support in the Soviet Block countries (Russia, China, North Korea, etc). They ignore all consumer arguments and always reply with the canned reply like you never wrote anything to them making it look like you are talking to the wall. There is no access to the management or more accurately the management has the system setup so that consumers have no access to them just like in the Soviet system. They need to learn from Amazon how the support is supposed to be in America. They break consumer laws and they know that no individual could sue them because the costs are almost always are higher than the refund and people remain without a refund. They need a class action suite to straighten out their customer support system.
