“My FIRST and LAST time using E-bay. WTH? This company is so amateur. I went to e-bay and bought a Spiderman suit costing $96 which included postage. NOW......... when I filled out my order on E-bay it gave you a section for billing address and delivery address. Also, it asks you to include your telephone number. I completed ALL of the latter. When I filled out my delivery address, I even made a comment about the delivery address and billing adress in order to clarify that I wanted the delivery address to match my current residence. I eveen stated that I would like the delivery guy to take my number as I paid the extra for home delivery. Now I see that seller has sent to my billing address that I do not live at, did NOT provide my telephone number, and sent it by regular post and NOT direct home delivery. There is CLEARLY a disconnect between E-bay and its buyers. It is clear that there is a disconnect between the company and the sellers. Shame really, the reputation of E-bay is all but gone as is clear from many forums. I guess hindsight would have been good in my case. I wish I had done research and I would NEVER have used E-bay. The problem is that I could not find what I wanted on Amazon and chose this Mickey Mouse company instead. What kind of a company does not provide e-mail? What kind of a company only has call back if you live in one of 4 countries? Love the question: How did the company communicate, by live chat, e-mail or telephone? What if I am in Kuwait and neither of these three choices is an option? Amazon all the way.”

“Idiots run the company. Numerous errors in design make for a risky venue compared to what could be. Automated returns mean that any idiot can borrow anything or change parts. There is apparently no provision for seller expertise or experience. I have been there over 20 years, so don't argue. Ebay was there before Amazon and is 15 times smaller now. They didn't listen to the veteran sellers. Now they can't even spell correctly, just look at some of the auto parts listing forms. Its obvious there is no proper management or leadership and never has been. I remember when they removed the ability to rate buyers - that was the deciding crippling quackery. Instead of healing their self inflicted headache, they cut out their brain.”

“eBay is only out to take your cash! Customer Protection but ZERO Seller Protection!!!!! Sell an item as described, buyer tries, tests, changes mind, returns under false pretences in a damaged condition and despite pleading with eBay they issue a full refund??? Crooked to the Hilt!!!!”

“When buying something like a bare root tree that can't be seen to be good for sometime as you have to wait some weeks to establish that the tree is alive, leaves the buyer with no protection from Ebay. Try and make a claim and you are out of time, result NO REFUND. Ebay needs to use common sense when dealing with complaints of this sort of product, It allows the seller to send any rubbish out without any fear of having to give a refund!!!!!”

“My selling account gets restricted indefinitely out of no where. Never sold anything that goes against their policies, had no issues with buyers, 100% positive feedback. Then learn that because my brothers account got restricted due to some selling issues my account has been flagged because of a "strong connection" they wouldn't even tell me what the connection is! I assume its because we share the same address. Even tho i have nothing to do with whatever he has done, I literally have a zero relationship with him. Cant even stand the guy yet ebay just put me in the same category as him with no evidence to back up anything. Utter ridiculous.”

“A seller was nasty to me in emails. And then he canceled my order and didn't allow me to purchase. He then opened an unpaid claim against me. I called Ebay. Spoke to Odessa and supervisor Mervin. Both said they saw the emails. Acknowledging that the seller canceled the order. But would do nothing to help me. So, I now have a mark against me. Ebay is all about the money. If you don't make them money. You're garbage to them. Shop other online retailers. **** STAY AWAY FROM EBAY. *****”

“THE WORST THING ABOUT EBAY IS THAT THEY ARE PAIRED UP WITH PAYPAL. THIS MAKES THEM LOOK BAD AS PAYPAL IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED...AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT, THEY WILL FREEZE YOUR ACCT AND HOLD FUNDS UP TO 180 DAYS AND NO INTEREST ACCRUED. ALSO YOUR ACCT INFO IS NOT PROTECTED AND WIDE OPEN FOR ANYONE TO ACCESS. I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF FRAUD THRU MY PAYPAL ACCT SEVERAL TIMES!!! THEY ARE NOT EASY TO WORK WITH EITHER. UNFORTUNATELY, PAYPAL IS THE ONLY GATEWAY TO COMPLETE TRANSACTIONS, WHEN PURCHASING AND SELLING ON EBAY...THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR EBAY THAT THEY REFUSE TO CHANGE!!!”

“I sold a keyboard on eBay for £80 Buyer said Alt key is not working and he wants to return this item back to me. i said ok please return it for full refund. he sent this back to me using service parcel to go, and the parcel to service damaged the keyboard during the return. i have contacted ebay and Ebay give buyer £80 refund, i have made appeal spending hour on phone with ebay but ebay is not agreeing to provide me with any refund and they have downgraded my account to below standard, so now i'm being charge 14% fee , i will say its not worth selling on ebay, (Case id 5200286294)”

“Hi have been threatened by eBay they will close my account for telling a seller they shouldn’t be promoting violence towards political figures on t shirts now they have reported me now my account will be closed. How about do your research on what you are selling on eBay then let’s chat. Terrible business takes so much money when a seller sells most likely due to there an American firm and they like sh***** on everyone who breathes on this earth.
