Some good sellers , some good bargains . But far too many scammers , fake goods galore being sold as authentic . Items that are beyond repair are sold as vintage . Some items like the 240volt pet warmer pad, fall well below safety standards and are likely to burn your house or zap your pooch . 100% silk items arrive with 100% polyester labels . Or items just don't arrive at all (usually Yodel) but are marked as delivered , there is nothing you can do . The list is endless !

Don't buy new on Ebay! you can pay up to 20% more than if you research and buy direct from online retailers.

As a seller if you sell an virtual item and have ebay messages proving that you have sent the item ebay does not take responsibility if the buyer call paypal and opens a unauthorised transaction you willl not be protected buy paypal or ebay seller protection they will both say the other is liable. also one of there accoutn specialist decides that i am in the buy reading ebay messages and says i should open a unpaid item case but few days later the completely deny the fact the colleague has said this and im down £160. ebay customer service is terrible pay a pound extra and use amazon atleast they care about who is doing transactions on there platform. they cant even admit they have a loophole in there platforms system.

I wish you had minus stars because it doesn’t deserve one star. Absolutely diabolical service after my account was hacked and also the linked PayPal account. Practically blamed by the customer service representative for having a dormant account. Lack of knowledge and understanding of GDPR regulations and no guarantee that my personal details haven’t been compromised. Continued emails after reporting the fraud from eBay saying the click and collect item was ready. Overall a poor experience I will be closing my account once a full refund has been received.

Ebay sellers sell products they do not have in stock. After you purchase an item, they will send an email stating the item will be delayed until their new drop shipment from China comes in. The next thing is the seller will create a shipping label and show you a tracking number and then sit on the item for several days before it is ever delivered to the carrier. I have be dealing with ebay for years and can say that it was one time a great place to deal with, but now it is super slow and filled with excuses. I have a 100% rating on ebay, but now look everywhere else for products and use ebay as a last resort.

I have just got off the live chat with ebay and experienced very poor customer service. They give you templated answers and do not address any issues you have. Please note this company is not what it appears to be.

very bad customer service, i was sold what was supposed to be a post medieval ring that was the description, it arrived turned out it was plastic, now plastic was invented in 1907, so i contacted seller who didn't reply, tried calling ebay customer service, who were no help what so ever and blatantly lied to me. so i left negative feedback nothing except the truth that the ring was plastic, ebay removed my feedback so that the seller could keep his 100% feedback score, I have will never buy from ebay again & have requested my account be closed. & lots of chinese sellers purporting to be in the u.k. & are not. ebay has gone well down hill

Ebay's Policy Lacks Common Sense As an honest seller Ebay will let customers rip you off. Customer sends an email saying they broke the item and asks if they need to return it or purchase a new item . We answered you must purchase another one. Customer opens a return Ebay automatically accepts and the item they broke get shipped back. Ebay says they will help me out by "crediting the final value fee" on a returned item. (any item returned or cancelled has the fee refunded automatically) after 20 minutes on the phone will credit shipping costs one way of $12.50 I had to beg for like a hobo. So now im only out 48.49. Ebay said "You did everything right but our policy is you must refund the buyer." There is Right & there is Wrong Then there is Ebay policy which doesn't care about either. They seem to not care about anything anymore.

uselles, i think they have bots to place orders that later are not being paid or it's "something suspicious with the buyer". You cant post anymore because you overcome your free amountof selling. The items are figuring as sold and they just taking my money for fee's. SCAM!

EBay has no protection for sellers. Twice I’ve had sellers say they’ve not received item even when I have proof of postage. Been done out of money and item as post office hardly refund anything. If you want a free item, just tell EBay you’ve not received it and you’ll get the item plus the money! Joke...... too many people scamming hard working people out of items and EBay couldn’t care less. Can’t even understand half the staff when you phone to complain. Gone down hill over the years.

Everything, three fraudulent buyer purchased my item. eBay has no compassion for sellers, the customer advisor was rude and toke me to change how I and listing the item but held no responsibility for the issues in the way is was listing my item on eBay saying it was safe a secure but they had just advised me not to do that. I sold the item on the 4th attempt and eBay have held the funds!!! They don’t make that clear at the start and after asking for support it was eBay who set my seeking profile up so I was 💯 not aware of this. I then starting to receive warnings for eBay to say I was trying to sell out of eBay when in fact I had reported the fraudulent purchases where users were asking me to but I have received a warning. Stay away from ebay they want your mind ye but your not cover at all if things go wrong as eBay make sure in the terms the responsibility is down to the seller. Awful experience

I purchase sometimes from particular vendors because delivery is "guaranteed by" certain date. But it is not! The vendors lure you by "guaranteeing" delivery by certain date, and eBay colludes. Then you learn you aren't getting what you were "guaranteed". I lost certain opportunity because the purchased thing arrived 3 days after "guaranteed" date. And eBay does not care, and continue to lure again and again. They should be not "guaranteeing" it then. They could say something like "delivery date target is", but not "guaranteed". Thys should lose that one in court. They guarantee is a binding contract, which they do not honor, and just continue to violate it. My last not-so "guaranteed" item was #122856222054.

I bought a hose from ebay, and I have 30 days to return it, after 25 days I received it and I wanted to return it at the same, but I found the return label is cutoff, and I must pay for return, I calked ebay but they did nothing, and told me call the seller to solve this problem, I sent mant emails to seller but he didn't call me send and email to solve his mistake. Ebay run away to solve this problem, and I list my money because I trust in them.
