“We are a new seller and to be totally honest we wish we had never bothered with ebay. we have now sold over £1000 worth of items and passed the 25 transaction promise to become a trusted seller yet all of our funds are still being delayed 21 days or held including the postage so we have to keep fronting this ourselves, its been two months now and for a struggling small company this seems like a total waste of time. On top of this we have discovered that all of our listings have a day to two day delay when becoming visible to the public so we losing valuable advertising time and getting less bids. Ebay were unwilling to help it seems the whole system is designed very badly and not in favour of new sellers at all. Advise anyone to second think using this as a business platform.”

“horrible experience, product nopt received, i can not file with paypal they removed the transaction, i left bad feeback and ebay removed it too. lol all was removed, its a 100% fraud, i am on ebay since 2000 with 100% good feedback do not buy from this seller Ilgiardinodimaya they will defraud you and you will be trapped!”

“eBay provides no protection against scamming buyers, only a reporting tool which does not result in any action taken against the scammer. Buyers are free to claim returns under the money back program, even when they break products or have signs of heavy abuse, and there is no recourse for a seller to recover any of the lost funds as eBay forces full returns. Their updated seller protection in Spring 2019 only protects sellers with less than 100 transactions, so anybody who has been on eBay for more than 2-3 is left out in the cold. Disgusting company policies.”

“Ebay is a waste of my time and money. I purchase a Yeti cooler off of ebay and the Seller sent the cooler through UPS to a different address than I provided. I had all the proof of this for the case that I file against the Seller, and ebay refuse to refund the money back . On the seller feedback it shows that he have done this to four different people already and ebay still refuse to fix the problem. So at the end I had to paid for a 179.00 cooler that was never received because the Seller sent it to the wrong person. Great Job !!! Ebay I give you a zero for customer service. And before this I was a valuable customer, I will NEVER buy anything from ebay again. Here I come Amazon. A refund was never given.”

“not trustful company. I have been charged extra couple of times. When i contacted customer service they didnt want to refund it me. I needed to explain step by step for them to understand that I should not pay it. They paying not fair game. Hopping that customers not going to notice it. I am selling one item a month and its easy for me to notice it. I believe shop owners on ebay cheated by ebay. Also my account was hacked. i contacted customer service immediately, instead of reacting and helping with this case they were asking me to contact different dep and then another dep (however Customer service both time transfer my phone call....) Instead of protecting my data and solving my issue (i think hacked account is very important) they were treating me like ping pong ball. I cant trust my persona data to Ebay! Also they promised to be back to me within 72 hours ... I heard back from them after 7 days only after i chased them....”

“Bad customer service, my car bought on a classified advert by a buyer only to be messed about with nocontact from buyer then ebay say i can relist it either classfied or in a auction....so i did put in an auction listing only for ebay to remove my listing the next day without telling me saying it had breached policies.......um what the?? Do not waste time and money on ebay stick to facebook or gumtree its free!”

“Dont waste your time and money advertising your car on Ebay, as they randomly remove your auction listings. Then they say "ou can relist if you want" but you have to start all over again. What a waste of my time, miles better off puting on gumtree and its free! and you can put your contact details / phone number etc which ebay does not allow!”

“Ebay now charge 10% commision on sales and also charge you on postage which they have nothing to do with - its thieving basically. I have to arrange all the postage, boxes, paper, tape, arranging courier why should Ebay charge me for posting. I pay for all the postage and have to pay ebay as well - this has to be fraudulent?? Then as you have to go through paypal (owned by ebay) they then charge you a % commision again. They really rip you off - theres not much global competition unfortunately and they have a kind of monopoly. So you pay for advertising on ebay, you pay for posting your item if sold and then you pay again when you get your money in paypal. Great....should be a law against this rip off merchant”

“I brought an smart watch and the seller send me a defected smart watch I emailed the seller and they said they would only give me back 5% of my refund back talked to eBay and they told me to give the seller another 2week's to respond before they can issue a refund I strongly advise any and everybody not to do business eBay Prophet Prophet”

“eBay has some heartless bastards that don’t care about their sellers. All they care is about themselves and making their percent and could care less about anybody but their profit margins. Sellers cannot leave a feedback on bad customers that don’t pay for items which is unfair and if you make a claim the customer can be a ahole and leave a negative feedback even tho they were wrong and eBay won’t do anything about it which sucks. You are basically are walking on egg shells with this ridiculous company. eBay will always be Greedy No good Scumbags.”

“ebay pretends its an auction site but all ebay wants is for you to list your item and if you make any money they take it. I was selling a commercial dishwasher on ebay for £1300 and £60 deliver, someone asked me if they could come and see it working, so naturally I said yes and I gave them my address for them to come and see it working, because I have given them my address ebay tells me I have broken ebay rules they are charging me £130 final value fee even though they never came to see the dishwasher working. The dishwasher has not been sold the dishwasher is still here and after spending hours trying to contact ebay as ebay makes it very difficult to get in touch and after all that ebay customer service is as useful as ashtray on a motor bike no help at all so if you are selling on ebay don't answer any questions you could get charged a final value fee whether you sell your item or not.I won't be selling on ebay ever again. Also you have to except paypal before you can list an item on ebay weather you want to except paypal or not, paypal is good if you are buying not if you are selling as I find out in hard way. Last year I sold a commercial ice maker on ebay for £1160.00 and they paid by paypal and all they have to do is wait one day before the 6 months is over all they had to say was item not as described paypal refunded their money, so as a result I lost my item and my money, so if you are thinking of listing an item on ebay be very careful.I know some of you reading this are not going to believe me if someone had told me all this I wouldn't have believed it until happens to you. I have to add this I've been selling on ebay ever since ebay was invented but no more.”

“Would give no stars if I could: Ebay are absolute crooks. Ebay's promise to resolve matters, like their "money back guarantee", are both utterly meaningless. I made the mistake of starting to use them again, which they rewarded by stealing another £50 of mine, forcing me to issue proceedings for its recovery. By contrast, what a joy to deal with Amazon. Whenever - rarely - an issue arise, returns and refunds are immediate.”
