“I rented a car, then they called and said they have no cars. How is it that a rental car company has no cars. Then I spoke with the manager at blue springs missouri enterprise about my refund they said took place and it hasn't amd its been over 2 wks. Very unprofessional. They gave me a dirty car as well, I cleaned it before returning it. Your welcome. I do not recommend this place at all.”
“One of the worst experiences I have had. I dropped my car off at the collision center to be fixed. Enterprise was very late to bring me the car ( the reservation had been placed 2 weeks prior), representative came inside and had the iPad and told me that I had a 100.00 down payment ( I told him that my rental was covered under my insurance and that I did not have a down payment. He said well then do you have $50 I said again my rental is covered by my insurance he said well we will re-examine that when you get paid, then he said just initial on the iPad all these places he said I check the car over before I came there’s no scratches or dents. Didn’t even give me a chance to check the car myself. He said you have enough gas in the car and gave me the keys and left with whoever followed him. I got in the car drove out of the driveway from the collision center low fuel light came on. I had no money on me. I ran out of gas. My husband who is a disabled veteran had to come and bring me gas. This is the worst experience I have had with Enterprise!”
“I was charged an additional day of Rental that I did not have possession of the car. No one was available to check in my vehicle on the day of return so I left it. Because of that, I have no paperwork proving that I returned the vehicle on time. No one from Enterprise bother to call me that I was being charged an additional day. I had to find out on my own in the following months credit card bill. This charge was not authorized by me and was not the reason I provided my credit card information. My credit card information was provided so that if I did not hold up my end of the agreement meaning, I did not properly fuel up the vehicle or I damage the vehicle, my credit card would be used to rectify those problems. Many attempts were made by me to correct the overcharge with customer service. A reference number was provided to me with a promise of a follow up the following week. No follow-up call ever was made back to me so I called Customer Service back. When I did, I provided them with the reference number. The rep told me that she had no information all regarding that reference number! UGG! I WILL NEVER, NEVER DEAL WITH ENTERPRISE EVER AGAIN!!!
In addition, I will tell everyone of the THIEVES that Enterprise is and how they miss used my credit card.”
“I am a Platinum Member, I have been renting vehicles approximately every two weeks from Enterprise at Boston Logan Airport, for the past year. Three weeks ago, I try to rent a vehicle and the website states there are no cars available? I called customer service and they just mimic what the website says, I asked if they could get a car from another location? Remember, Enterprise states "rent from us and we will pick you up"... The robots on the phone, yes two people, I asked to speak with someone else, just stated we're sorry we don't have any cars at that location.....For those that know Boston, there are 7 Enterprise locations within 30 minutes of the Airport.....Not making arrangements for a vehicle has soured me immensely.....I hope I don't get better service from the company I am renting from or they will lose a very solid customer.”
“I recently rented a car from Enterprise Car Rental after my own personal vehicle broke down. The Keizer/ Salem Oregon rental center was outstanding with helping me through the process. Angie and Kemar went out of their way and got me a great price on the car with the best customer service I've ever had. Also thanks to Bruce and the rest of the gang that helped to make my experience with Enterprise top notch. Thanks again- Ron Miller”
“Corydon Indiana branch, one star for customer service. One star for car cleanliness. dealt with this Enterprise for years, never had a problem. Called to make the reservation. If they don't have the car they've always got one for me. Corydon branch on the other hand refused my business. Said that they had too much going on to get me a car. A pitiful way to do business to a faithful customer. One star.”
“Do not rent from them! They charged my credit card >1K without my authorization 4 months after the rental vehicle was returned due to a payment dispute between them and the collision center (who was covering the cost after the first 30 days). Forcing me to negotiate with the collision center for them. Very unethical and poor business.”
“Needed a vehicle due to mine going into a shop for repairs while I was traveling. Made arrangements the previous week. Reservations were confirmed via phone. Went to pick up the car (walking, I have some physical challenges which makes this difficult/painful) Monday@7:30AM, which was when the reservation was for. I was told I needed to prove my residence by showing them a utility bill in my name. I rent. Utilities are paid by the landlord. I do not have utility bills in my name. Regardless, who carries utility bills around in their purse, just in case they break down so they can prove where they live? That's what I have a driver's license for. I offered to show them my car insurance and a variety of other receipts that i have on my phone, they insisted that per company policy I had to provide a utility bill. Then they asked how I was paying (VISA Debit) they told me they do not accept those, only credit cards. They said it doesn't matter if it says VISA on it, they won't accept anything that has the word "debit" on it.
They told me they weren't responsible for my misunderstandings that I should have read the information on their website. I was pretty angry and said I felt their shareholders deserved to know how the company was being run and that paying customers were being turned away. The office manager informed me me, quite proudly, "this is a family owned business, there are no shareholders". Well, that family should be ashamed if themselves and how they do business!! I was left stranded, no transportation, very difficult time walking and in severe pain. As I started to walk back to the mechanics shop, I walked past a UHaul store. They rented to me on the spot.
When they called me to confirm the reservation, they told me that all I needed to bring with me was my driver's license and charge card, then confirmed. If they expected me to bring other information, as well as only accepting specific payments types, they should have told me then!
Please, if you are considering renting from this company, please don't!! They are irresponsible. They communicate poorly and nay leave you stranded 100s of miles from home and they don't care!!”
“It's been over 1 year and you can't rent a 15 passenger Van. But you by at night there's 3 sitting there. Please someone else start a Rental Company in my area. Rockingham NC. E”
“The one should be a partail star but you don't get that option. I have rented from Enterprize for decades never a problem but now I reserved a car for a trip weeks ago and went in today to pick up the car and was told there is a state of emergeny and no cars available have to get on a waiting list. They have all my information and couldn't leave notice of this problem so I could have been on the list days ealier. And they then took the information from a person who came up after me before taking mine. I called to complain that I believe it could have been courtsey messages sent out and then heard voices talking in the back grond and the call was ended. What horrible customer service that has become of this company. Just my thoughts”
“Don’t rent from this enterprise! There are a joke, they don’t tell you for the charges in advance. They just charge you whatever they want to charge. They charged e for car insurance that I didn’t approve. I have called them and nobody responds to your phone calls.”
“I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for Collin M Clarkson. During the challenging time of Hurricane Helene, he went above and beyond to help me secure a much-needed minivan rental. His kindness and dedication truly made a difference in my situation. Thank you, Collin, for your exceptional service! God bless you!”
“Downtown location you have a Prince that like he said he the bost and does what he want. 3times i travel back m worth n got everything he wanted n he still said no. Just to prove it I left after 3 attempts n went Brandon location m was able to rent very quickly with no problem. Employees like that should be fired it happened the day after the storm hit Florida I needed to get to my family and they left me stranded but it's okay me and my family and all friends will never rent a car from there again”
“I have rented with Enterprise in the past and had no issues but this time was an absolute nightmare and enterprise was beyond unhelpful. The car they gave me was a 2021 with 62k miles which wouldn’t have been an issue in and of itself but I quickly learned the tire tread was on the line of “acceptable”. The front tread was lower than the back tread and it was a FWD vehicle. My first issue was when it was raining and the front tires lost traction, causing the car the spin out and go into the ditch. I am in nursing school so I had to be at the hospital from 7a-7p every day and couldn’t go to an Enterprise location to switch the car out. Enterprise refused to bring a vehicle to me to switch out. So I drove it all week. Then on my drive home, the back tire blew while on the freeway. It was 11pm at night, enterprise took 2.5 hours to tell me they couldn’t find anyone to come out and help swap the tire out so I had to call a third party tow company to come help me. 3 hours later I was able to drive to the next big thing own, I had to get a hotel for the night because I couldn’t drive more than 50 miles on the spare and still had 170 to go. The next morning, I called Enterprise and they once again refused to meet me at the hotel to swap the vehicle out. They sent me to an Enterprise location 3 miles away and when I got there they said they only had dirty cars so I had to go to a different location. It took 2 hours at this next location to get a vehicle because they made me file a claim before they’d swap the vehicle out, even though their car was the issue. I am pregnant, traveling alone, and enterprise was beyond terrible to deal with. Offering absolutely no assistance for any of the issues I encountered along the way. This is the last time I will be using Enterprise and I highly advise others to consider what they will do if they encounter issues with their rental because Enterprise will leave you to fend for yourself.
*I tried to add pictures but every time there was an error that wouldn’t allow them to upload.”
“Brendan was professional from start to finish. Brendan did a complete walk around and demonstrated everything.
What a wonderful young man to have on your team.”
“My insurance company arranged a car rental for me using Enterprise Car rental. Thay were to pick me up @ 830am, they showed up at 915am and took me to their rental office where I got to wait for 75 minutes for the car. Then the car was not what I reserved. I reserved a premium model but got a small suv. I told them that won't work but that is all they had take it or leave it. I could come back and wait for a premium might come in. I asked for them to call when one was available but that was too much to ask. I will never opt to rent from Enterprise again. Called customer service that was no help either.”
“After making a reservation 48hours in advance, booking a hotel out of town and several reservations for our itinerary. I received a call at 9 the morning of pick-up stating they would be completely sold out of cars by 10am. My reservation was scheduled for noon. I was told by the Enterprise employee Kiarra that I can call around 1pm to see if they had any vehicles returned but there was no guarantee that I would receive a rental, I was 4th on their waiting list. She proceeded to tell me she had to release 5 vehicles from her lot to accommodate other locations inventory. I asked why would she give her inventory away when she has pending reservations who are waiting for a vehicle. She proceeded to say that if I must know they were picked up from repair shop and distributed to other locations which still made no sense. I called several times throughout the day. All the way until 3pm and no luck with a vehicle. I chose to go another route with another rental company. Poor customer service and communication with their customers. I would never use their services or go back they cost me time and money. I was 4 hours late in departing for my vacation due to their negligence.”
“I’m trying to pay for the damages to a car that was damaged by Hurricane Beryl and am getting nothing but a runaround!!! Screw it. When you are ready to get paid, YOU CALL ME!!!”
“Reserved SUV got to enterprise Belle Chasse and vehicle not there! Rep said someone called and left a message. No message or call on phone log. The rep then said I could sit with him for the next 5 hours and maybe someone would return a car for me to take.”
“Went to Key West for my 65th birthday. Rented a Jeep Grand Wagoneer from the Miami airport with 16,000 miles on it. On the third day, the check engine light came on and the car had trouble accelerating from a stop. Went to both Enterprise offices in Key West and they could not help me. No large cars available. They kept tell sorry there is nothing they could do. I decided to go to the Jeep dealer in Key West for them to look at car. Lost the use of the car for 2 days and many hours dealing with this while on vacation. Rented a golf cart just to have a way to get around. I tried to call the company many times only to be told a supervisor will contact me within 48 hours. They are very good at telling that they will get someone to help but in my case it never happened. Not a big fan of Enterprise moving forward.”
