Evans halshaw Durham. Rubbish. Only had car six months and is constantly making knocking noises been back six times. Customer service shocking. Salesperson wants nothing to do with you after you have bought it. They put faulty part on one of the times. Absolutely rubbish. Avoid

Toked my Citroen C4 Cactus in Kettering branch where i’ve been overcharged for a major service by £110 compared to other Evans Halsaw locations. I've been charged £375 where the other 2 locations quote me just £265 for same plan. Spoked with Steve(branch manager) that didn’t offered any explanation or any inters in sorting out this issue. I've spoked with him about evans halsaw price back promise but he said is referring just to used cars and not to service plans(even if on website is saying that is also available on any repair/service). My front tyre been replaced with a Nexen cheap tyre but been charged for a premium tyre(£95) Complained all of this to Steve branch manager but he was trying to get rid of me instead of trying to sort my issue out. Been to Kettering branch just because my 2018 car was bought from his branch couple of months back and was making a noise from the driver front side since i’ve bought it from them and been promised this will get fixed under extended warranty after it been with them service 2 times before and failed to be fixed. Will never use Evans Halsaw Kettering again and i am looking to escalate my complain with Resolver, Evans Halsaw customer support head office and trading standards since Steve unit manager was not even trying to deal with my complain

Was not shown inside the car, car smelt, had warning light displayed on dash, all the tyre were underinflated. Before left showroom complained about warning light. 'nothing they could do and advised to take to ford dealership under warranty. When a second warning light came on, demanded a refund and returned car. Was told refund would be in bank yesterday, still nothing today. Sales people, Euan and Mohammed were a disgrace.

Enquired about viewing a car at Evans Halshaw Plymouth, they ignored my e-mail so I sent another one as I was really interested in the car. In the few days this took place, they hiked the price of the car up by nearly another £200! Poor customer service and unethical practices.. well it's their loss - they now have a bad reputation which I'm more than happy to share ... shame I was an all cash buyer too so they missed out on over £10k. Avoid!!

Vehicle health check stating air conditioning good! Very interesting as I took my 2020 Corsa in for an unrelated Vauxhall recall. Enquired about if Vauxhall 3 year warranty covered air conditioning, told I would have to pay £89 for diognostic. Politely declined. Had the recall work completed as well as a vehicle health check. Was amazed when my faulty air conditioning showed up as "Green all good" on health check. It's far from good, doesn't work properly. Obviously not a quality and propper inspection/health check. It's also a little embarrassing that counter staff almost beg for a 9/10 on customer feedback every time I take in a vehicle.

Part exchange valuations a joke,Daylight robbery ,They will sell your car anything from £3000 to £5000 more .Offered £14400 for R.R.evoque 2016 ,Same car on website £19000. They tell you what a good deal you are getting, and won’t budge upwards, but will gladly lower offer. What an absolute joke.

Burnley Branch, bought a Ford Focus, happy with the purchase a number of years ago. The gripe is with the communication from the garage when I had the car in when it lost power. It turned out the timing belt had gone and needed a new engine. It took 5 Weeks to diagnose the problem apparently using their best mechanic on diagnostics who had 40 to 50 years experience dependant on who answered the phone. The car has less than 60k on the clock. As I said it was lack of communication on the progress that was annoying, when asked to keep me informed it was not forthcoming. To compound matters when I sent a recovery wagon to pick up my car he was told a payment for the diagnostics was outstanding. It wasn't, I had an email thanking me for payment prior. Again lack of communication from the accounts department to the branch. Who bears the cost of re sending the recovery wagon. Guess!!!!!! Unfortunately this has left a bad impression on this branch and has put me off purchasing a future car from Evans Halshaw.

I needed the Security codes. When I visited them the first time, a lady told me that she needs the V5 and ID to proof it's mine. When I brought the requested documents a man told me that they need a photo of the car in there workshop! That's weird and unprofessional. Thank you Evans Hashaw for your useless services

Bought a used Ford Focus from them and they've lied about everything with the car! firstly i was told full service history and that it would be serviced before delivery, first thing i checked when the car came was fluids and i'm gobsmacked...window wash had a tiny bit of water in they couldn't even be bothered to use proper screen wash in freezing nights, oil was mucky and below minimum, coolant was below minimum. Checked my "full service history" and its last service was 42k miles and the car is now on 74k miles, yep 30k miles since its last service! The cheap alloy paint they throw on just came off with a wash, interior had previous owner junk under seats etc and the car turned up as if they had it parked under a tree for 6 months. After not even a day of ownership the automatic gearbox started slipping until completely losing drive on a dual carriageway! they had my car almost a full month and also carried out other work on the car i didn't authorise like parts to do with steering, car left with lovely steering i could turn corners with one finger, got it back and needed both arms to turn a corner! turns out they didn't even do the job right but before admitting it was an issue they tried to tell me its how a Ford Focus steering is meant to be! Now owned the car for three months, horn just packed up, had to replace all three wipers as they smudged screen, both headlight bulbs needed replacing as they gave off about as much light as a candle, gearbox is starting to pack up again after they only fixed it 3 months ago. Do not buy a car from these people! they do not check anything and only rely on previous owners to tell the truth, they dont clean the cars or test drive them and will happily send a delivery guy down to you to hand you the keys to a broken car!

Avoid. Read this. My daughter bought a car from them between Xmas and new year. Salesmen assured her it’s been fully checked out with their comprehensive used car checks etc so she handed over her 14k and was told she would get delivery in a few days. Those few days passed and we heard nothing. Tried calling and emailing to find out what was happening but got no replies for about a week when we were told a warning light came on in the dash and they want to check it out. Another week passes and we hear nothing despite continually chasing them up. They have my daughters money stashed away and we are getting increasingly concerned. After almost a month of trying to get delivery of the car we were told they discovered it needed so much work done that it wouldn’t be worth them selling it so they are just going to auction it!! So clearly just lied about it having been thoroughly checked over prior to selling. What a joke. No help in finding another similar car on their database. They realised they weren’t getting a sale of this car and dropped my daughter like a hot potato. Totally uninterested. Then despite her transferring her money to them immediately when she bought the car she was told it will take three days for them to return her money. Sadly the salesmen at this evans halshaw give all car salesmen a bad name. It was like dealing with second hand car salesmen from way back in the 70s. Absolutely shockingly bad service. I would not trust this company one bit

Sold me a car with a broken gearbox, had me book it in a local garage for 6 days just for them not to authorise work, said never mind we’ll send a driver to drive it 120 mile back to Blackpool Evans Halshaw and yes “drive” just for me to check my gps data and my car was clearly being used as a run around to fish shops and super markets while in their hands for 2 weeks….car went with half a tank of fuel and came back with not even 5 mile to empty yet I was dumb enough to fill hire car up for driver to go back in….never ever trust a Evans Halshaw garage, also the parts they used to fix my gearbox were off a scrap car. Don’t bother

Purchased my Hyundai Fastback at the end of September 2020 as a preregistered car with 56 miles on the clock. It was just under a 1 year old when purchased, being registered in September 2019. Prior to having the car a year I had the car serviced on 17th September, within 2 years . 2 years from the car being registered the battery started failing. I spoke to Hyundai Evans Halshaw Leeds on 22nd October to say the battery was failing and the age of the car. They stated that It probably was something else and needed a diagnostic. I had with the help of a retired auto electrician decided that it would be the battery, but they said they wouldn’t replace it without a diagnostic. They did NOT say that the battery was not covered under the 5 year warranty or that they wouldn’t cover it just 2/ 3 weeks outside the warranty. As a result I struggled for 2 weeks, charging the battery until they could fit me in for a diagnostic. Come the diagnostic, yes the battery has failed! Had the garage advised that the battery would not be covered I would have purchased a battery, not wasted 2 weeks of having to jump start the car and not been charged £126 for a diagnostic which told me what I already knew! To add insult to injury they wanted to charge and additional £320. For a Hyundai battery which again only had a 2 year warranty. I have since purchased a Bosch battery for £120 with a 5 year warranty. Despite complaining and putting in a formal complaint they have not responded. I was treated with total disrespect and am appalled with their service / attitude. DO NOT USE HYUNDAI EVANS HALSHAW LEEDS. CAN RECOMMEND CARS2 HYUNDAI BRADFORD WHERE MY GRANDAD HAS HIS CAR SERVICED.

Bought my Car online in good faith and was given a delivery of 3 days later. 3 days came and went and no phone calls . After numerus calls and emails I am still left without a car or my money back 12 days later. The customer service has been beyond shocking and although there has been one nice gentleman trying to get my £ back, all in all the worse service i have ever encountered.

Evans Halshaw, Bretton, do not go even by invitation, a total disgrace to the Ford brand. Be very careful to all female drivers of large immaculate low mileage vans out there, they are as jealous as hell. Mine returned with a small scratch, which though I told them about they did nothing. Fortunately I got someone to do it and he did a beautiful job at mated rates, but as these (very sorry everybody) racist bastards did nothing I have since reported them to trading standards. Don’t ever take a vehicle to the main dealers for servicing unless it is VW, take it to your small friendly garage. The service man by the name of Paul, a small odious little man with no regard for non fee paying jobs. He sat there and gloated at the prospect of someone bringing a van in just out of warranty to have a lock fixed. If it’s not too late don’t take it there, it’s cheaper to go to harrards and buy a fleece rather than get rinsed there Seriously don’t take your beloved Ford there, they are scum.
