“The EVERPRESENT team did a great job converting our old videos to digital copies. The age and quality of the videos probably made for a difficult job on EVERPRESENT's part, but they rose to the occasion and it is evident that they did their best.
My one qualm with the company is that I feel as though they were not keeping me updated throughout the entire process. It took almost double the amount of time for them to finish the project than they had predicted when I first dropped the videos off. When I tried contacting them to get an update it was very difficult to get in touch with them. Of course, with this qualm, it is important to consider the difficult times we are in and the delays that the pandemic has created in almost every aspect of life.”
“We experienced helpful communication as our project made its way through the transfer process. Sadly, the digital transfer & DVD hiccups at every point that there was a splice in the original Super 8 film. Surprised that this wasn't noticed and commented upon...even if it couldn't be fixed. Film worked fine in our projector...but that was many years ago!”
“Everpresent digitized 33 Super 8 movie reels for me. Staff was professional and friendly and made it easy to get this project done. The final product is great and I have combined and edited the 33 files into a single movie. The project took substantially longer than expected, but this could be pandemic related. Communication was clear but could have been more frequent over such a long process. Overall a good experience.”
“Thank you for recording and digitizing my father-in-law's record. I was hoping that you could improve the sound more, but it is what it is. I'm sure it was quite the challenge. It was probably made in the 1940's or possibly 1950's.
We have a huge family and now they can download it. The CD and thumb drives will help preserve it as well.”
“Ever-present did an excellent job with my large collection of photos, slides, movies, and newspaper clippings, creating a unified family archive. I did find the advertised pricing a bit deceptive . . . I was surprised by the final estimate. An adjustment was made when I raised questions about it. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the job was done within a reasonable amount of time.”
“EP provided a quality product and good service at a reasonable price.
Special high marks go to Margaret McCarthy for her excellent service, responsiveness and attention to details.
Les Gordon”
“I am very pleased with the work that was done. The films I brought in were so old and stored in a damp basement. I didn't expect to get much from them but was pleasantly surprised. The only problem I have is the length of time it takes to get a project done. I can understand why it took long when I brought so many films but my daughter, Catherine Schofield brought in some of the discs made by Everpresent to have copies made and it has been forever and we still don't have them. I am afraid they are lost.”
“I visited approx 6 weeks prior to Christmas. I was told had plenty of time but had to pick up my two books Christmas Eve... was very nervous
Otherwise books came out great but the time factor was a bit of an issue”
“Everpresent did a great job with my tapes. Only issue is the price which is a little expensive. But I found 2 more tapes which I am sending to transfer to DVD so it's not too expensive lol”
“I worked with just8 mm.com. The finished product looks good. We’re happy with it. The price was reasonable. The only complaint I have is the communication. I never got an answer on a phone call, Always voicemail. And some communication by email. You couldn’t just call and ask a question.
My impression was that’s just how they work, and I just have to deal with that. Other than that, it was fine.”
“The work I contracted you to do was very well done but my order took much longer to complete than promised. I was told it was a clerical error. The first deliverable to copy a dvd and a vhs tape was to be ready on 10/10 . It was finally completed on 11/4. If not for the assistance of Kate D at the main office, I'm not sure when it would have been finished. The actual quality of the work was very well done.”
“Too expensive by about 25%. Too long to complete by about two weeks. Titles of products (on DVD, thumb drive, etc.) should match the words describing the products in the cover letter - exactly.
I have already recommended your company, so the comments above are not major.”
“I got better results off some of my more problematic tapes from ever present than I did from Legacy Box. Every present was more expensive… And the communication with every present wasn’t quite what I was led to believe when I placed my order. No one contacted me and told me they were going to be issues with my tapes which I only learned when I receive them at my house. I think Legacy Box has a better online systemOf updating you during the process.”
“Excellent VCR digitizing service. Representatives are always responsive and courteous. Experienced a few glitches with transfer of account upon staff change and with posting one digitized video. Both promptly attended to and remedied. Overall, I experienced a most welcome culture of customer service.”
“Professional, but I was not prepared for how poorly the cd came out. Long stretches of no picture or sound or both. I trust your work, but am hesitant to convert any more of my family vhs tapes.”
“I was told it would be 1-2 week turn around. After 2.5 weeks I called for an update. Received a call back that Friday at 5 that my order could be picked up on Monday, so essentially took > 3 weeks for my order. I know things get busy but a phone call or email would be appreciated. The code they gave me did not work for online viewing and I was almost locked out. I like supporting local business so will use them again but leave additional time for my order.”
