“The finished product is great. However your 75 dollar an hour to edit video is excessive. I wanted 30 seconds edited out and was told that I would be charged $75.00. I think the editing charge should be pro rated to reflect the actual time spent in the editing process and not an arbitrary flat fee regardless of how little time is spent on the process.”

The local rep in my home town accepted all of my slides and I received a regular round of emails from EverPresent to keep me informed of progress and issues. “Recently entrusted EverPresent with digitization of about 300 slides dating from the late 1940s. My Dad was the photographer. Most of the images had never been seen by my siblings and I. “In the last year, EverPresent has processed 5 jobs for me—digitizing super 8 film and slides from many past decades in my family. This year of Covid seemed the perfect time to work on this project. After I organized my entire box of slides, I boxed them up and took them to a Frame Shop/Art Gallery in New Haven. There I filled out a form and left them to be sent to EverPresent’s home location in Newton, MA. Soon I received a call from one of the EverPresent personnel who explained the process to me and noted any specific requests I had as to the processing of my materials. They told me when all was complete, I would be notified that the finished project would be ready for pickup in New Haven. EverPresent stayed in touch with me through email as my project went through the process of digitization. After about 6-8 weeks, I went down to New Haven and picked up my original slides and movies and new flashdrives. I was thrilled with the results. It is tremendously satisfying to transfer these formerly pretty much unviewable media onto a little flashdrive which I could insert in my computer or TV and step back in time watching my family from years past.
