“Normally the experience of using the Newcastle executive lounge before a journey is one of relaxation in a quiet, convivial atmosphere however while relaxation was still the order of the day on my last visit it was marred by slow access and a really slow replenishment of the hot food on offer. A significant queue developed as long periods were experienced between the sausages being replenished and, eventually, the bacon! The queue were asking the lady dispensing drinks where the missing food was but all we got by way of response was "it''s on the way". Not good enough. Someone needs to keep a closer eye on hot food levels!”

“Unfortunately it didn’t as you have a manageres who for some reason had several guests removed for simply sitting together enjoying the day quietly talking this female needs to go on a course in communication skills as she is lacking in this department and letting the rest of your staff down badly”

“Had to spend 6 hrs at Nairobi airport and pre paid for this lounge. I could only stay there for 3 hrs. If I wanted more I had to pay extra and that was a let down. The staff was friendly. The food was ok but nothing more. A lot of dry bread in the different dishes and not so much taste. A lot of cold drinks which I enjoyed. The couches could have been a little more comfortable, they felt a little hard and “edgy”. Over all an ok lounge but for around 30 dollars not worth it when you have other lounges with longer time limits, showers etc for almost the same price (around 40 dollars).”

“It was lovely being able to sit there in the peace and quiet where nobody bothered you. But I have to say I was disappointed in the choice of items to eat I have used the lounge before and had better choice. No hot bacon rolls no cheese and biscuits and no crisps I found the food side very disappointing.”

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review, I am sorry to hear your visit did not live up to your expectations. We have reviewed our food menu and have a new menu coming this Summer period. We offer 2 types of beer which is Tiger and Kronenberg" and I have looked in to this and we did only have 1 choice that day due to a very busy weekend. We are working with our WI-FI network provider and upgrading all of our lounges WI-FI to get this issue resolved. I have passed your comments about the staff to our lounge manager to see why this was the case as our Newcastle lounge staff are always mentioned positively. “traveling with my little grandson it was convenient being it was his first time flying we wanted to make sure it was a smooth experience for him, the only down side was very little in the way of food and NO toilet facilities on site which was disappointing, otherwise clean and pleasant staff thank you”
