Pretty average and no toilets.

Good seating and refreshments. Staff helpful and polite. Would have preferred a larger area to wash as space was limited and only could be used by one person at a time

This was our first visit in the Aspire Lounge, although we have used other lounges. It was quiet, view of part of the runway, nicely presented, but found it quite cold. Although we couldn't find a port to use that had not already been unplugged, we had to go on hand and knees to plug in points under the tables so we could use USB ports. They had ran out of Guinness, couldn't advice us when/if it would be available, no cider. The service counter where you collected you food from the service was slow, had to loiter around while waiting for items to be replenished, food was only just warm.

We arrived at appointed time of 07:00. The lounge was already busy. Many of the tables had uncleared items on them. The staff were explaining they were short staffed. Waiting for eggs, bacon etc under the Bain Marie lights was excessive. Not worth the money. Disappointing start to our trip. Not the standard we have come to expect from Aspire.

Lounge has changed since my last visit. They now have a staff member serving the drinks. Had nice cheese, but no biscuits for cheese? Not sure I would use this lounge again, would probably try the No1 lounge.

Overloaded, not enough space with tables to have dinner. No space for working with laptop computer. Wifi very good. Food good.

Hot food was cold; no pastries; no water; tables not cleared; toilets 50 percent out of order. Generally disappointing compared to previous visits.

All nice and clean, but lack of food, we went for the hot selection and no curry left but rice, no tea cakes to make a sandwich. Plenty of alcoholic drinks, coffee machine out of order as well. So that’s why I have gave it a 3 .

After a poor visit last year we were given a complimentary visit. We were very sceptical about our visit but this time we were able to quickly find a seat. There were no long queues for a drink and the food was warm and good quality. Whilst I appreciate some people may take advantage of the 'free' food I do think the plates need to be larger as it was difficult to have curry n rice in a small bowl. Overall our experience was good

Drink is brilliant value for money - food could be better. Emailed in before our visit to enquire into vegan options and was advised there would be something - had a bit of salad. Definitely worth the money if you have a full diet with no restrictions, but £25 approx for some salad and a few drinks didn’t feel worth it. Allergens could be better sign posted too. There is a sign saying to ask staff but they were busy enough without feeling the need to ask.

I always find executive lounges good value for money and good, efficient service. However, on my last visit to Birmingham Aspire lounge the service was poor as tables were not getting cleaned. Only when I asked for our table to be cleaned did a staff member come. I then had to point out that the tables around us were no longer being used so she took the dirty crockery but did not return to clean the tables. Over the 2 hours we were in the lounge no other tables were cleared and cleaned. Also the staff had to be asked to re-stock the drinks on several occasions by various guests.

The lounge was good but, there was little food and there were dirty plates and glasses everywhere. Just not enough staff to keep things running smoothly.

Always use lounges before i travel but hadn't used Aspire in LJLA since its been refurbished. Didn't really like the lay out and being told where to sit. Very poor selection of snacks and food was empty for a lot of our visit. Drinks machine was poor, lemonade and Diet Pepsi both not as should be. Staff were friendly but for the whole 2.5 hours there was a maintenance man measuring up by the high stools which was very unrelaxing, also lots of tables and chairs being moved and rearranged. Don't get me wrong still better than the hustle and bustle of the airport. Hopefully just a one off bad experience.

Assortments of drinks plentiful. However snack food could be better. Not much choice and constantly empty. Staff looked run off their feet but friendly and cheerful. Seating not very comfortable as sat at table and chairs like in a cafe for 2hours.

Not enough staff on duty at 7am. Waiting for cooked food to be ready. Not enough variety for vegetarians. Only used Aspire because Escape was no available despite trying to book from October. Would not use it again

I’ve been to the No 1 lounge also and compared to that lounge there was definitely less choice at Aspire lounge. Although the food was nice there was quite a wait for it to be replenished.

Nice to be out of the rush and have a nice view but prices up and portions down. If the glass had been any smaller for one of my G and Ts it would have been a shot glass! Eating food off the saucer sized plates is also a challenge! I will give the airports own Escape lounge a go next time.

No seats, food not readily available and maintained regularly... ran out of gin.. Apparently no more in the stockroom! I expected better, very poor. On the plus side, staff very polite and friendly.
