28 of us booked both lounges in the Terminal as a group booking for a holiday/wedding in the summer. I booked the lounge online, as I was asked to do, using the name of the 'lead passenger' who had arranged everything to date (the bride). I was the first to arrive at the lounge. When I attempted to check in with my wife, my 9 yr old and 6 month old daughters, I basically got a public dressing down from the lady behind the desk who claimed she was 'doing us a massive favour by letting us in' all because the name on the booking was not my name. Even though I had all the paperwork to prove I had made and paid for the booking. Apart from that, the lounge was great. Nice big open room with good views across the tarmac. Tablets for the kids to play on. Plenty of food (bacon rolls & pastries) and as much liquids as you want. Off to New York in Feb so we might use it again.....just got to remember to book it in my name so I don't get told off!

Nice welcome and well organised, however the seating area is neither luxurious nor roomy. Although the price paid was a few pounds cheaper than others we've used, I would have paid more to get some seats with a daylight view, and better food selection.

The staff, food and drink were very good but the overall ambiance of the lounge was quite poor. The chairs and tables were so close together that it was difficult to move between them and they were so big and clumsy that they were difficult to move to make space to move around. Also as most of the walls are internal there are only a few windows which only give a 'view' of the main airport lounge below which just adds to the claustrophobic feeling of the lounge. This lounge is nowhere near as pleasant to sit in as the lounge in terminal 2.

Somewhat over crowded, limited food choices. Much preferred the Escape Lounge we used in December.

Lounge was dated and need of refurbishment , range of alcoholic drinks and quality brands was very poor. Compared to other executive lounges I have visited this was one of the worst, infact it surprised me how this lounge let down Manchester Airport. My wife and I stayed in the Radison Blue and it was like stepping back in time in your lounge compared to the hotel.

I have used your lounges previously & I make the same comments again this time, after soup the food is very basic, snacks & savouries only. Very disappointed that there is never sandwiches available

I have used the lounges at Manchester a good few times and things are never consistent. Some of the staff are very nice and want to help in anyway they can knowing that you have actually paid for the service lounge. Other staff members make you feel like a nuisance, as if you are getting this service for free. Which is not the case. Some even seem resentful that you are about to go on holiday! Customer service needs to be addressed but the lounges themselves are really nice and relaxing.

Pleasant lounge but all self service -breakfast bacon rolls were poor . We went on a 2for1 via the Telegraph .I would have been very unhappy had I paid full price.

The Aspire Lounge at Terminal 1 at Manchester Airport is very comfortable with an adequate choice of snacks. However it appears since our last visit that customers are no longer trusted to pour their own drinks and are frowned upon by certain members of staff when requesting alcoholic drinks. If there is a limit on the number of drinks allowed then this should be clearly stated on your booking form. I consider that I am a very responsible drinker, especially before boarding a plane, however I do not think that three alcoholic drinks in a two and a half hour period is excessive although some members of your team clearly do.

I have booked in to a couple of aspire rooms, and was disappointed in Manchester lounge as the eggs on toast wasn't on the help yourself counter,I asked the guy serving and the couldn't be bothered attitude was we haven't got it.THAT I could see for myself,I like to start my holiday the best I can afford, and these lounge give me and a disabled lady a quite place to wait for our flight, not only about the eggs, but I don't think manchester lounge gives you that little extra that you pay for

One member of staff was rude to me as I was getting a drink. I have been in a few airport lounges in Manchester and Newcastle airport. In all I've been in you can help yourself to drinks including spirits. When I wen to get a vodka and Orange juice there was nobody around. After a couple of minutes I spotted a member of staff and asked if it was help yourself to drinks. I was unsure as it was set out as a bar but as previously stated other lounges in Manchester I could help myself. The member of staff then sniggered at me and rudely said NO. Also the wifi wasn't working at the time and the only plug socket I found was in the quiet area. I was told to move when I took a phone call even though nobody was around. I did enjoy the variety, everything was available. I just found two staff members rude!
