This was only the second time we had visited Newcastle Executive Lounge but we were very disappointed. It was an hour and a half prior to closing and staff seemed busy cleaning the area rather than attending to customers. We found it difficult locating staff to serve us any drinks and the food choice was poor.

As I travel a lot with my job I have used the lounges in many different airports and feel I have a good understanding of what to expect, however I will try to give you my view on the experience I had. 1, the lounge was massively over subscribed 2, we could not find a seat. 3, food was very poor and limited 4,toilet broken Please don’t hesitate to contact me should you require any further information. Kind regards Brian Chismon

It was crowded They ran out of cheese for the crackers All I wanted was a bottle of water to be told jug on the side The table next to me had 16 bottles of beer on it with only 2 people sat at it yet no bottled water all I wanted was a lite snack and a drink with a bit of peace and quiet What I got was a noisy horrible experience I normal book the quiet lounge which over looks the runway . With nice food and snacks and drinks This time I did not get it and I paid £ 55 for nothing but rubbish Ps the place was untidy and all the tables had plates on them which I had to clear myself before sitting not a great experience. I am going to vagas in Oct and was going to book the lounges but I’m having second thoughts

Should have a better selection of food and more the staff to clean up and serve at the bar.

Almost every single table in the Plus Lounge had a reserved tag on it and for large periods of time nobody there. Never known an ability to reserve tables in a "transient" lounge...quite stupid....staff were telling Plus clients to go into the other lounge!!….Staff were pretty poor and seemed no management control whatsoever in dealing with the mad situation of booked clients with nowhere to sit, despite many empty tables..madness

I must say I have been in many lounges and this is by far the worse I have been in. Poor selection of food (pasta looked like it had been there a week) and snacks. £19.99 wasted in my opinion. I will not be making the same mistake again.

Having used this lounge many times I was disappointed on this visit. Lack of cleanliness was a problem. The lounge was not terribly busy but tables were uncleared, toilets had not been serviced with some cubicles with no toilet paper. The main food items on the buffet were not being replenished regularly.

We arrived at the lounge 10 Mins after our initial entry time and there were very few spaces to sit, the food choices were limited and very basic, they had run out of glasses and plates and what few staff they had were run off their feet. In fairness we were offered an alternative lounge in the south terminal but this was not convenient for many reasons and if I'd wanted this lounge I would have booked it in the first place. This was our first time using the Aspire lounge and it will more than likely be our last as we we will probably switch back to the No.1 lounge as we have never had a problem with this lounge.

Lounge was small - bar selection poor with respect to wine - bar staff did not seem to know or care about types of wine. Food selection poor

The lounge was over booked and accepting walk ins so although I had booked months in advance we had no where to sit. The choice of food was poor, and the restrooms were outside of the lounge, on a plus the bar offered a good choice although the draft beer had run out! I won’t be paying to visit again.

Not enough staff to cope with the mess on every table, also the mac and cheese served was a disgrace. Would not recommend

Small corridor rather than actually a room. Cramped and a bit unwelcoming. No exclusive toilet provision. Area gives the impression of an afterthought and not properly planned or located. Only plus side is that the staff were pleasant and relatively friendly.

The quality of food and drinks available was sadly overshadowed by a severe lack of cleanliness throughout the suite, including the washroom areas . The one male urinal was out of order during our visit and the state of the wc’s were quite frankly disgusting.

Very disappointed with the choice of hot meal- curry, chicken and veg was all that was on offer. My friend does not like curry so had soup. There were no larger plates and the food had to be put on a side plate. Will definitely not use Aspire again.

Despite having purchased entry passes in advance, my wife and I, with very limited access time (due to delays at security and passport control) were expected to join a substantial queue of passengers paying , slowly, for entry on the day. Both of us in wheelchairs “jumped “the queue, to the annoyance of the staff, as this was the only way we had the time to drink and eat anything before our boarding call. We believe customers who have purchased entry passes in advance should be guaranteed priority, by way of a designated desk, or notification sign. John H Skewes

We arrived twenty mins and told to come back at correct time, when we were allowed back in there were no glasses no plates no mixers for drinks and machine for mixers not working after an hour the stickwas replenished. Our flight was delayed so we stayed in the lounge but were within our three hour stay, however we were questioned by a member of staff how long we had been there although it was very quiet there not a good experience in this occasion
