“We have used Exterior Solutions in the past and have been pleased with the shutters that we ordered. The previous shutters were unfinished (not primed) and were very smooth. Paint went on them like a dream and still looked good 8 years later. We are building a new home and once again went to Exterior Solutions for our shutter needs. We ordered 16 pairs in the same type shutters. The only difference was that we paid extra to have a primer coat added thinking that would help avoid steps in the painting process. Quite the opposite! We were disappointed that the shutters arrived very rough both to feel and sight. We had to sand them before putting two final coats on the shutters. We could not sand them too much for fear of the primer coat coming off, so they are still slightly rough looking. We should have saved money and not had the shutters primed by ES. One other problem that we had was that two pairs of shutters were not made to specifications. Exterior Solutions was great about trying to work with us, however. In the end, we received a refund of half off those two pairs because receiving the correct order was going to take over a month and we needed to get the shutters painted and hung to finish the house. Overall, because of past experiences, I would still recommend Exterior Solutions. It seems that many places are using COVID-19 as an excuse for poor workmanship. I have not heard that excuse from ES, other than why the shutters took so long to make and ship out, but that's what I am assuming is the reason for the roughness of out shutters.”

“Product was delayed due to supply chain issues. Customer reps were very responsive and apologetic. We had one shutter delivered damaged. I took a photo; again the customer service rep Amanda was super helpful. The replacement shutters (they only ship pairs) were delivered within 10 days. Color Bronze was identical to the chip sent (the chip chain was very helpful). My only reason for the 4 was that more care should be taking in packing the expensive shutters. There was absolutely no packing material....no paper, bubble wrap or Styrofoam to protect the shutters during shipment....just a cardboard UPS box.”

“The shutters are a perfect size, perfect color. The only problem I had with the shutters would be that one of them was half painted. I put them up anyway. I tried calling but I couldn’t get anyone on the phone, just a recording. Other than that, the color is beautiful. My only recommendation is for someone to look at the shutters as a whole before sending them out.”

“Exterior Solutions were great to deal with, unfortunately some of the product came in broken. I was able to repair them enough to install, but it would have been nice to just get them in as ordered. The delivery took so long to get t hem initially, I just didn't want to wait for replacements.”

“I absolutely love the black, 4 board, board and batten shutters I ordered from here. They really just finished off the whole house. Will be ordering more for the other side of our home. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because they took longer to ship than it said (about a week or so longer).”

“Exactly what I wanted. Good price and should last a long time. Mounting was easy and seems pretty secure (I tried to remove one mounting fastener and it wouldn’t budge). Would recommend these.”
