“The shutters we bought were of good quality and easy to install. I would give them 5 star, BUT their delivery communication was a disaster. I was planning a vacation so I emailed them to get an update on the delivery date. They told me it would take up to 6 weeks, so we went away. I got the shutters delivered while I was away and a week later I received a notification from them saying my shutters were delivered. Good product, but terrible communication with their customers. So their question on this review is "Was your delivery on time?". How should we answer that? NO, it was early but they told me it was going to be late so the package would have sat there if it wasn't for my neighbor.”

“Shutters took a very long time but this was probably due to covid. One shutter of the 4 had a dent in it. I contacted customer service and was answered very quickly but situation was never followed up on.”

“I would have rated a 5-star, but I had to wait for a month for the shutters to arrive. I had them professionally installed. My neighbor said the raised-panel shutters look very nice. I had to call to check the status twice, however, the customer service lady were really nice.”

“The color of the fasteners was spot on, but the diameter of the fasteners was not as big as the original ones. The fasteners need to have a larger diameter fastening area.”

“After having received my first order damaged, Exterior Solutions quickly processed my request for a replacement set of shutters. This order arrived without damage however, I would recommend some form of packing material be placed around the shutters to avoid future shipment damages.”

“The custom arched shutters were made exact. One shutter was damaged from mfg. or shipment. A replacement was mfg. and shipped in record time and allowed me to finish the job. Would purchase again because of the customer service and value.”

“We have used Exterior Solutions in the past and have been pleased with the shutters that we ordered. The previous shutters were unfinished (not primed) and were very smooth. Paint went on them like a dream and still looked good 8 years later. We are building a new home and once again went to Exterior Solutions for our shutter needs. We ordered 16 pairs in the same type shutters. The only difference was that we paid extra to have a primer coat added thinking that would help avoid steps in the painting process. Quite the opposite! We were disappointed that the shutters arrived very rough both to feel and sight. We had to sand them before putting two final coats on the shutters. We could not sand them too much for fear of the primer coat coming off, so they are still slightly rough looking. We should have saved money and not had the shutters primed by ES. One other problem that we had was that two pairs of shutters were not made to specifications. Exterior Solutions was great about trying to work with us, however. In the end, we received a refund of half off those two pairs because receiving the correct order was going to take over a month and we needed to get the shutters painted and hung to finish the house. Overall, because of past experiences, I would still recommend Exterior Solutions. It seems that many places are using COVID-19 as an excuse for poor workmanship. I have not heard that excuse from ES, other than why the shutters took so long to make and ship out, but that's what I am assuming is the reason for the roughness of out shutters.”

“Product was delayed due to supply chain issues. Customer reps were very responsive and apologetic. We had one shutter delivered damaged. I took a photo; again the customer service rep Amanda was super helpful. The replacement shutters (they only ship pairs) were delivered within 10 days. Color Bronze was identical to the chip sent (the chip chain was very helpful). My only reason for the 4 was that more care should be taking in packing the expensive shutters. There was absolutely no packing material....no paper, bubble wrap or Styrofoam to protect the shutters during shipment....just a cardboard UPS box.”
