Very distressed by delivery. I am 80 with health issues. All shopping online and medication delivered by Boots. All presents etc bought online and successfully delivered — often left in porch and usually with advance notice of delivery, My purchase from you : no advance notice of delivery. I was out for a short walk — purchase not left in porch and no attempt to leave with friendly neighbours. It was taken to local Bargain Booze so had to break my isolation to go and fetch it. I might as well have gone to a shop to buy it. Disgraceful! I have phoned Hoxton and Gray twice to complain and not returned my call. I would never have purchased Click and Collect because that would not keep me safe. I hope for a response.

Unbelievable! I have been trying for around a fortnight to find out what has happened to my order, no response to emails (other than standard acknowledgement and an excuse that they were busy), phone lines unresponsive, yet they have taken my money and still can't tell me when the order will be delivered. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift to relatives in London but am giving hope of that now. Hope they are quick with their refunds. Wouldn't recommend this company to anybody. One star is being generous.

Took 12 days to deliver my beer ... for £5 delivery charge you’d have thought it would have been next day ... poor service

Order placed on 7th Dec. Received notification it was shipped on 11th. On 16th was emailed to say they had problems with shipping & supplies due to Covid. By the 21st I still had not received my order So emailed them & heard nothing back, tried again on 22nd, nothing, today the 23rd I get an email asking me to write a review of my experience.... Really? Finally it arrives.....December 31st! Very disappointed with presentation of the gin bottle, you can barely read the label & that was the whole reason for this gift, my friend is called Ben!

Christmas gift ordered in plenty of time to arrive on the 15th December, today is the 23rd, has still not arrived. Social media is full of similar stories. Terrible customer service. Lots of hiding behind COVID-19. I will be informing by credit card company to issue a charge back if my item does not arrive by tomorrow.

Very disappointing. The first and last time I will use Borough Box. Delivery of birthday gift one week late! Other companies have managed to deliver parcels on time during Coronavirus pandemic! Christine Kearsley

Normally good, but this this year let me down badly. Ordered two hampers to the same UK address in good time for Christmas. One was delivered, the other one not. Still awaiting a response from Boroughbox but looks like one of my family will go without a present this year.

Very poor service, I understand the Christmas period is a very busy time & this years especially but had no update re: my order since it was confirmed early in December, then had no contact when I enquired as to it’s status/estimate delivery day & then sent me a e-mail asking me to review the service & the product which I haven’t received yet & don’t when I am likely to. Now it is December 23rd & as it is a intended Christmas gift I will have to go buy a alternative gift somewhere whilst I await the arrival of this gift, it is there birthday in May so maybe I will have it before then. Have had a banner on there website saying all orders placed after the 13th December can’t be guaranteed for Christmas but mine was order several days before that date so I am not sure as to why I haven’t received it in time for Christmas!! Won’t be using you again.

I ordered on the 7th December and its now the 23rd of December. The tracking says it was dispatched on the 11th December but the Yodel tracking has never admitted they have it. So where is it? It is to be delivered to a location just South of the river in London so I do not understand where it is and why it hasn't been delivered. Quite dissatisfied with Borough box at this time.

Really unimpressed - order 100120124 which was placed on December 12th shows as complete and dispatched yet no tracking details show, all it says is "your parcel will be with us shortly" so it other words it hasn't been sent, and no response to 2 emails. I now can't get a present to my friend in time for Christmas. This review is for another order (which I ordered on December 7th and paid £3.75 postage for which has only just arrived!!)

Ordered placed early December for delivery on 19th December. Gift still not delivered. have tried emailing twice with no response and calling twice - unable to get through. 23rd December Yodel have no record of receiving parcel for delivery, according to them it's still with the sender. According to email from Borough Box it was dispatched on 17th December. So who knows where it is or it will ever arrive. Appreciate that its a busy time of year but very disapponting, especially on the coms side. Would not use again.

Just not impressed with BoroughBox at all. We decided to order these hampers for our staff and I ordered them around the 8th December. I was given the option of selecting the delivery date which I chose as the 16th December and we are still waiting. I understand that this year is a challenge for the delivery service but BoroughBox should have been upfront about it and not allowed people to choose a date that they were never going to hit. I can't review the hampers because they still haven't arrived but I can review the complete lack of customer service.

Appalling. I see I am not the only one who's delivery address was defaulted to a wrong postcode, and if Boroughbox had answered my emails (3) , the error could have been corrected, but they didn't. Yodel refuse to alter the postcode without authorisization from BB, but as they ignore emails, the parcel wont be delivered. I also see they asked customers to contact them with problems, and not post of social media.... but.... they dont answer emails. An appalling example of a greedy supplier accepting orders (and money)they cannot fulfill, or provide any kind of customer support. Difficult times for EVERYONE, BB, and you have played the ''support your independent suppliers'' card, but failed to respect the customers or their patronage. Never ever again will I buy from you.

Appalling poor service. Placed order in first week of December. paid a large shipping fee and it is still not received on 23 Dec and recipient not likely to receive it by Christmas day. Hard not to describe it anything other than incompetence. I would not order from them again.

I was very disappointed with both advent calendars. They were gifts. I ordered 2x 24 day calendars. Just before they were due to be dispatched you told me that ONE of them wasn't 1-24 but 1-12 back to back. It was, by then, too late to cancel! They turned up and not only was the packaging damaged, with an item missing but BOTH CALENDARS WERE 1-12 back to back!! I will not be ordering from you again. Had you despatched them when I ordered them I could have done something about it but arriving a day or two before it was impossible to do so. Very VERY disappointed, £150 down the drain as far as I'm concerned,

Let me start I have no problem with their prices and the products seem fair. Unfortunately they only sent 1 of my 2 presents, mistakes happen it’s fine. But I could not get hold of anyone to rectify, had to really push and make noise for them to send it. I’d have been happy for a refund but I couldn’t even get hold of them for that! When I pay £5 delivery I do expect tracking and a decent time frame these days and when you order a month ahead of Christmas you’d think you were safe. I reached out on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, phone and email and it was like pulling teeth! It’s a shame they want to blame coronavirus except it looks like they’ve had this problem before and not learnt.

unfortunately following many promises goods did not ship or arrive, even though order was placed in ample time. In the end had to request a refund at last minute as no reply to final attempts to chase an ETA, and left with very limited time pre xmas to find alternative gifts. 1st experience unfortunately very poor, and could not recommend, or use again going forward based on this experience. Real shame as the quality of product certainly looks good ... if only you could get it!
