well you are asking me to write a review and i have not yet received my order from 15th December, I am not going to give you many stars i'm afraid.

Really disappointed with service and product. Originally ordered as a Christmas surprise for my colleagues at work and was advised products would be delivered within 3 -5 workings day. When the presents did not arrive within the time-frame I contacted the company twice for an update and received an automatic response. I then called the company a week later and was advised they would be sent out soon. When the product did arrive 3 weeks later, it hadn't even been packaged nicely. Just a small bottle of fizz and chocolate shoved into a huge box. The person I spoke to on the phone was very polite but did not apologise, acknowledge that the gifts were over 3 weeks later and didn't provide any further updates on when we would receive them. We specifically chose a local company however going forward we will not be using again.

I rarely post a negative reviews I know how important they are to companies. However my experience with BoroughBox has been extremely poor and very frustrating. All the items ordered arrived late, several arrived damaged and one has not arrived at all. I contacted the BoroughBox support team twice before Christmas however received no response to my emails other than an automated acknowledgement of receipt. BoroughBox's business model is to source their products from multiple suppliers. This is fine providing the customer experience is owned by BoroughBox however this is simply not the case. I called today to chase up on the lack of response to my email enquiries to receive an automated message advising me to click on some links in the original order confirmation email (placed 4 weeks ago) which then emails their supplier directly. This just adds to what has been a dreadful customer experience. I bought from BoroughBox and expect BoroughBox to resolve the issues not hand it over to their supplier base. My issues are still not resolved. Sadly, I cannot recommend BoroughBox and won't be using them again.

Not received my items nearly a month after ordering. Received a shipment notification three weeks ago, yet tracking information says not yet collected. No response to emails and only an answerphone message on their telephone number.

I am very disappointed with BoroughBox, wished I had never placed an order with you, which to this date has not been received by the recipient??? I tried to contact you by phone and have sent 2 emails enquiring to the whereabouts of the order, all a waste of time. Just wondering, since Christmas and New Year celebrations have passed, are you planning to deliver the food hamper for Easter? If it has been in transit all this time, or sitting around some post office delivery room since 16 Dec I should think it is not fit for human consumption by now. I would like to cancel the order and I request a refund.

Placed two orders early in December expecting delivery in 7/10 days. Did not arrive at destinations by Christmas, did not arrive by New Year and have not arreived yet. Would like a refund, please An order placed in Lancashire from another supplier arrived on time so hope they supply Yorkshire as well.

As I write this, on 4 Jan, the box I ordered on 12 December is yet to be delivered. London address.

I understand that with Covid things are delayed, but I received an email saying the three hampers I ordered were to be delivered on xmas eve, but when I contacted the recipients (on the 4th Jan 2021) and asked if the hamper had arrived, none of them had! It has been impossible to contact Borough Box to find out where the hampers are. Not happy at all and won't be shopping with Borough Box again.

I am still to receive my order, made on 12th December. I never rush to a negative review but with no contact above the email to say our order might not arrive before Christmas my patience is unfortunately wearing thin. New year has passed, I still do not have the Christmas gift I ordered for a family member, and I’ve had no response to requests for an order update.

Never received the product despite the fact I was told it had been despatched, communication awful, days to answer e mails, no telephone service, chaos. I give them 1 star for processing my refund quickly

Extremely poor contact center. No commitment on timelines. Overall a very disappointing experience. Other online gifting services are much better. It seems I have made a mistake by chosing Boroughbox over others.

It is impossible to write a review on the quality of the merchandise from BoroughBox as I ordered over 3 weeks ago and there is still absolutely no sign of the package. I would say that customer service and communication are pretty poor though.

I tried very hard to support the independent sector this year but I'm afraid that in the case of Borough Box, the results were very disappointing. I spent a considerable sum on gifts for family and friends early in December and nearly all were so late as to be pointless. I'm told the gifts were very nice, but nobody wants a hamper of unexpected food turning up on Christmas Eve when they've already done all their shopping, and they certainly don't want boxes of luxury chocolate arriving in January. One of my gifts still hasn't arrived and will almost certainly not be welcomed when it does. I'm sad to say I won't be using Borough Box again.

I received this today from support at boroughbox - can you believe it... We’d love to get some feedback on your order. In particular we’d love to know: - What was your experience like with the seller on our marketplace? - What was the contact like that you had with us? (the BoroughBox team) - How did your product taste/look? (Or if it was a gift - what did the recipient think of it?) We’re so grateful for any feedback we receive. It helps us understand how our sellers are doing, and most importantly, it means we can improve BoroughBox to give you an even better customer experience. I'd ordered two boxes in mid December - Dec 13th, nothing has been delivered - that's 22 days later! The total ignorance of the set up to not monitor, manage, facilitate indivdual bookings is wholly horrific. They are total amatuers. I'd tried to ring and email from 30th Dec on numerous occassions, they offer no comms at all. What do you think my answers would be to these questions above!! NOTE - THESE GIFTS HAVE STILL NOT ARRIVED SO THE QUESTIONS BELOW HAVE NO PURPOSE!

I ordered four boxes before the Christmas cut off date. Only one has arrived, more than three weeks after the order and over a week past Christmas. I have had limited communication from BoroughBox and have been left very embarrassed by their service. I will never use this provider again, despite the fact they are supporting local businesses. Terrible.
