“Flavor is great, however I ordered Mild, it is really Hot.”

Hi There, We have heard some of our customers' concern that the Fresh Red Chile sauce in mild is still a bit too hot so we are in the process of tweaking our recipe to make it quite a bit more mild in the next few weeks. So we encourage you to PLEASE give it a try again sometime in October! Warmly, The Fresh Chile Co.

“Howdy .. The Mild Red Chili Sauce Had A Good Taste but was A Little To Spicy Hot for being Mild.. also the next time We use it I'M going to cook it down A Bit.. needs to be A little thicker to me.. But all in all it does have A Good Taste and is A Good Product.. JIM”

“Ordered the carne adovada it came packaged on a 3 of plastic bag. Very hard to handle. I had the divide it into usable packages. Also ordered the chili rellenos. Again it came packaged in one large package. A lot of the batter came off in the package and it was difficult to divide into smaller more useful packages. Taste was great. Just wish it was packaged differently.”

“I bought both the red and the green because I have a hard time finding something that doesn’t taste store bought. Yours does not. Both taste fresh. Here’s the “but”. In my mind, the green, because it is chunkier, packs so much more flavor in it than the red, that I was disappointed that I only had red left. The red is good, it’s not the green”

Hi Michael, Thanks for your feedback! We are glad you're enjoying the Pure Green. Have you tried our Red/Green Blend chile? It is FULL of flavor and has chunks of roasted red chile in it that we think you'll love. The Fresh Red Chile Sauce is meant to be a sauce and thus doesn't have that chunky texture that you're referring to but is very tasty when added into recipes. We have a bunch of recipes on our website ( freshchileco.com ) that utilize the Fresh Red Chile sauce so we hope you'll be able to find some ideas on how to use and enjoy it even if it's not your fave! We are altering our recipe in the next few weeks and the next batch of Fresh Red that we make will be exclusively made with Lumbre chile peppers making it significantly spicier than the current XHot. “Green chilies Mild, had to mix with medium to use. Green chilies Medium excellent for my taste. Red sauce Mild, in contrast to mild green chilies....... does have some heat. Good Red sauce Medium-not tasted yet, but believe (based on heat in Mild) it will have substantial “kick”. Basically, love fresh chilies. Will order more!”

“I was a bit disappointed that the mild was so hot. I love the taste of a chile, but it does not have to be so hot (I have eaten some hatch chiles that were mild). Also, not salty enough.”

Hi Mary Ann, We have heard some of our customers' concern that the Fresh Red Chile sauce in mild is still a bit too hot so we are in the process of tweaking our recipe to make it quite a bit more mild in the next few weeks. So we encourage you to PLEASE give it a try again sometime in October! Unfortunately, our Fresh Red already has 750mg of sodium per serving so we cannot add any more than that to the recipe but encourage you to add more to it as desired! Warmly, The Fresh Chile Co.
