“Bought some fresh starters and some freeze dried ones. Haven't tried the dried ones yet but the fresh ones are working well. As someone new to sourdough I also had some questions which were answered promptly and in full despite the staff obviously being run off their feet with orders and complications due to lockdown. Great service, and very happy with the goods.”

“First time making yoghurt. The instructions for the Greek Style yoghurt were easy to follow. Results were excellent. Been making this since purchase of the culture and enjoying the creamy texture, not too tart and well set product.”

“I bought both kefir milk and kefir water from freshly fermented a couple of weeks ago. With zero experience in the fermenting processes. The kefir grains arrived very well packed and in a box small enough to get through my letter box which was great as I was at work when it was delivered. I followed the very detailed instructions on the website on how to activate the grains and it has been a wonderful experience making both kefir milk and water kefir. The grains have already grown in size! I'm obsessed. Already made fermented butter using my milk kefir grains!”

“The scoby is fantastic, very healthy and a good size. Made our first batch of kombucha and it tastes great. Waiting for it to carbonate and then we're all set. The scoby is already growing, too. Freshly Fermented is a fabulous company, I've been using their kefir for several months now and it's delicious, the best I've tasted. Highly recommended!”

“My kefir grains arrived very promptly as promised - Great! I wish they had come with instructions as although I had downloaded the online version I could do with a bit more information about the initial changes. I can see that something happened after a couple of days and although I have strained the grains and refreshed the milk I was at a loss as to whether I should have pushed the grains through the sieve with the liquid!”

“I bought a ‘Misfit’ Kombucha scoby starter kit for my first attempt to make Kombucha, so didn’t know what to expect. I followed the instructions carefully and the resulting drink was lovely. Adding ginger as recommended was delicious. I was concerned that the scoby seemed very fragile and disintegrated slightly, but on making an enquiry to Freshly Fermented, has a prompt response to explain that this is just yeast strains and a normal part of the process, so nothing to worry about.”
