“I bought my first batch of milk kefir grains a few week's back and I'm thrilled to say the 'community' is thriving and I'm enjoying lashings of kefir on a daily basis! The instructions for activating the grains (on the website) were clear and encouraging, and panic-averting (ie. sometimes it may take a while for the grains to 'settle in', as mine did: took about 96 hours, but once they were off, they were off!). I'm enjoying looking after my kefir and harvesting the rewards. Would definitely try another product from Freshly Fermented!”

“Ordered water kefir grains as mine had died, within a week I had made some fantastic pineapple water kefir and thecm grains have doubled. Very happy with this purchase.”

“Excellent product, we downloaded the instructions, followed them to the letter, 4 weeks later superb Kefir, we're even second fermenting with strawberries. We now have about 4 desert spoons of grains and have upgraded our jars to 1.5ltr ones. Highy recommended for customer service and quality of product.”

“When it arrived, the product was beautifully sealed in a disconcertingly small package. We weren't quite sure what to expect having made yogurt from fresh live commercial products in the past so were careful to follow the very good instructions on the web site. Worked perfectly so now we have a continuous run of Greek yogurt from the last made batch that is noticeably superior to the commercial stuff - loads more interesting ideas on the site to follow up too ... Credit to Freshly Fermented for a quick and helpful service - we will be trying more of their offerings !!”

“Really pleased with the Greek yoghurt starter. I have made at least a batch every week since buying it and after about ten batches so far there has been no loss of thickness or performance. The starter also makes a very good French Style yoghurt if it is set in small pots and not strained. My husband won't let me buy shop-bought yoghurt anymore as he doesn't think it is as good.”

“Good idea, well packaged, easy to refer to instructions online and starter worked well. However, I bought the rye starter because I wanted to make rye sourdough. Fed up with lock-down, wanting a good result and not being terribly patient turned it into strong white organic wheat sourdough. Now using it every week. Tastes good and everyone likes it. Great toasted.”
