“The copper speaker wires I bought transformed my beloved vintage CD stereo. The sound is now crystal clear. I loved the options I was given while ordering: colour, length in half meters, plugs of various kinds, or no plugs. Top this with multiple delivery options; I chose standard Royal Mail 1-2 days, which was delivered in 1. All role model stuff for any business out there :)”

“Very pleased with my purchase, QED 40 XLR TO XLR 5m cable, and with a 72 hour burn. Following my music room being re arranged I needed a 5m cable between my Project DS3 B phono pre-amp and my SPL pre-amp,perfect! A quick delivery too.”

“I have spent (in my world), a fair deal of money with Future shop this year, so how they have performed is an important factor for me as a returning customer. I generally find ordering online to be hassle free and their communication is excellent. When I have had the odd hiccup, they’ve been straight on it and sorted it out with no problems. This is the sort of retailer that I am confident and happy to spend with. All my purchases have arrived expediently with a reputable courier and I have been apprised of the status of each transaction all the way through. I have only good things to say”

“I am very disappointed with my recent experience purchasing QED speaker cables with Elite Reference AirTite Banana plugs. The plugs on these are surprisingly huge and definitely not the standard 4mm size most hi-fi gear takes. My existing standard 4mm banana plugs actually fit right inside the opening of these QED plugs. Certainly, they won't fit into standard equipment terminals at all. Not only did the process take an unreasonably long time to resolve, but I also had to pay a high return fee, and Future Shop refused to offer any assistance or flexibility with the cost. Very disappointing service—buyer beware.”

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry that the cables did not work out for you, but we would like to clarify an important point regarding the Elite Reference AirTite banana plugs. These are standard-size hi-fi banana plugs designed for conventional speaker and amplifier binding posts. We have supplied thousands of Elite Reference plugs over the past two years and are not aware of any sizing or compatibility issue of this nature. They are also comparable in size to other standard banana plugs from many manufacturers that we have supplied for many years. From the photograph provided, a conventional banana plug has been inserted into the opening of the Elite Reference plug. This is not how the connector is intended to be used and can spread the contact section, potentially making subsequent insertion into a speaker terminal more difficult. We tested the returned connector ourselves and were able to fit it into our standard speaker terminals. As with many new banana plugs from many brands, the contacts can initially be quite firm and may require a little pressure and gentle movement when first inserted. This tight fit is intentional and helps provide a secure electrical connection. We appreciate that you were disappointed with the time taken to resolve the matter and with the cost of returning the cables. However, as the cables were supplied correctly and the connectors were not found to be faulty, the return was handled under our normal returns terms. We’re sorry the purchase was not suitable for you on this occasion, but we felt it important to clarify for other customers that these are standard banana connectors and that we have not identified a fault or dimensional issue with the Elite Reference plugs

“I purchased Van Den Hul D-352 hybrids with reference elite banana plugs. Also 96 hours burn in. I was surprised that they were delivered so quickly. I must have been at the front of the queue. Thanks again Future Shop. Great service.”

“Ordered online and the process was very simple. I was updated frequently, being informed that the order had been received, was being processed, and when it was posted and on its way. Everything was carried out quickly and efficiently and the goods arrived well packaged and within a few days of ordering. Will happily recommend and will definitely use again.”

“For my newly acquired ATC active speakers I needed 7.5m mains cables rather than the 2m types that came with the speakers. Having read up about various options I decided to try Supra LowRad as a compromise between cost and performance. I chose to buy from Future Shop because its returns policy reduced to risk of me of the Supra items not working satisfactorily in my hifi system. The cables arrived swiftly and nicely packaged. They are well made and sound pretty good in comparison to the previous arrangement I had using the ATC supplied cables, extension cables and power blocks. I will likely try some more Supra LoRad cables with my preamplifier and CD player.”
