After reading all these very recent reviews, I am in the same boat...my order was placed on 22/04..no response since, maybe we would all take legal action! DO NOT USE!!!

I would advise any customer who has paid for goods from Gardening Express to start dispute process with their bank or credit card company to retrieve their money back as could take up to 60 days. Shocking company, I’m sure you will see them on the BBC shortly. Rip Off.

After ordering some plants on the 9 thApril my plants finally arrived today, well some of them did , the rest are to follow, apparently. The sorry state they arrived in is deeply disappointing. The leaves have turned yellow and are falling off one plant. They were packed so tightly the pots are distorted. It is the first and last time I will use this company, they are uncontactable at the moment, even more annoying, the support tickets do not work I have contacted my card company for a charge back

Ordered on the 25/4 now 18/5 no order, no correspondence, no replies to refund request just ignoring me and blaming covid, I ordered plants from the Netherlands the day as this and got them 3 days later I have ordered from the Netherlands again and guess what 3 days later got my plants again. This company is exceptionally poor and don't deserve our custom.

I ordered mine 13th april. £42 and nothing. No responses to my emails and have now raised it with my credit card company. They should not be taking orders when they cant even fulfill from 6 weeks ago!!!!

Ordered fruit trees 11th April with we are still trading through virus with expectation 3 day delivery. Changed next day to max of 4 weeks. Now 37 days with the planting season expired and no communication to emails or enquiries. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible company to deal with !! Placed order on 12th April, it is now 18th May. No explanation and no response to "support tickets" raised with them. I have now requested a full refund and heard nothing. Please do not use this company !!!

Ordered 10th april still had nothing. You can't phone and they don't answer any of the queries. I opened up an investigation of fraudulent activity on my credit card as I have no goods and they refuse to reply to queries. I have a business and I wouldn't have one if I handled any customer dissatisfaction like these do. Its absolutely shocking. I wrote a review on another site and they managed to report my review within 14 hours of me putting it on. Pity they can't do the same with peoples order queries. Never again

Order placed 21st April - the goods have not been despatched as of 17th May. Only response you get from the company is a generic email blaming Covid for the delay in service. Seems the company is taking cash from people but unable to deliver!

My order for two flowering rose trees took 18 days to be delivered. they were just two dead twigs. No reply from the company since middle of April, after numerous emails and support tickets. Please do not use them.

Ordered plants on the 9th April, but there is no way to actually call them to enquire on the status or expected delivery date. Raised enquiry tickets on their website to no avail, also emailed them. All you get is an automated update blaming Covid 19 for the delay, absolutely disgusting. Gardening Express should not be taking money off people if the are not able to provide the goods. Have contacted my bank to try and raise a dispute with them to get a refund. Many people, including myself, thought about buying plants to make the garden more pleasant as we are in lockdown and can’t go out, so was planning to spend more time in the garden at the moment as we can’t go out, so to have a company behave in this way is absolutely appalling.

Made an order for my elderly mother as a gift to cheer her up during lockdown on the 17/4. It is now 17/5 and she hasn't received her ceanothus. As others have said there is no way of effectively communicating with this company. They have obviously over faced themselves. They really should have stopped taking new orders weeks ago because they couldn't honour them. They have had my £35 since 20/4... I am extremely disappointed as it is a lot of money to me.

They took the money 6 weeks ago no delivery, no way to contact and generic emails. I suspect they are scamming. Will try to get money back through credit card.

Avoid the review would have been a zero.. They should stop taking orders and resolve current customer issues . They are blaming covid for there poor service , if you can’t cope with demand then stop taking orders and customer money until you have sorted out your issue. I urge people to post on face book not to use this company .

As with so many other people money taken for an order placed on 11.4.20 but no plants and no communication despite raising a ticket. It is now more than five weeks since ordering so their delivery comments are obviously misleading. I guess they are way overextended and should have stopped taking orders long ago. Effectively, dishonest and misleading advertising on site.

Utter shambles. Ordered on 15/04/20. No plants, no way of communicating. Wish I had seen these reviews. My advice would be to avoid this company at all costs. If your order is over £100 and you used a credit card you are covered under section 75 of the consumer credit act, which means your lender should refund the money. Orders under £100 are more problematic in terms of getting your money back, but in these instances the chargeback scheme is your only option.
