“dreadful service, plants were poor and not as ordered, no one replies to anything, passed to my card company to get them to refund as given up trying to deal with this company. They appear to make a habit of sending out poor quality or dead plants and then making it so hard to get a refund or even an answer from them. Avoid like the plague.”

“This company and the customer service is absolutely atrocious. While taking into account there have obviously been difficulties with deliveries over the Covid period this company took nearly 3 months to deliver the plants I ordered and when arrived the plant was absolutely atrocious. Out of four plants one was ok. I immediately wrote to the company in April and now in July have still not had a response or offer of any refund. Do not buy any products from this company. Other companies during this period have delivered plants safely and given good customer service if there have been any problems. This company just ignores you and it is so totally frustrating but I will never ever deal with them again. Unfortunately it’s not possible to give a zero star review.”

“Utterly, utterly dreadful: received a box of dead plants over eleven weeks ago, and still no refund. You can only raise a complaint with then via their support site, which essentially wastes your time: my first complaint was deleted without response. My second complaint, from seven weeks ago, has yet to be answered- it was "escalated" within one hour, but there's been no further movement. Receiving a box of dead plants is one of those things that sometimes happens. Receiving a box of dead plants and not being able to receive timely support? That's shoddy customer service that has nothing to do with the current situation, I am afraid. It's just a shame that consumers can no longer raise issues with retailers direct with Trading Standards, as Gardening Express deserves a thorough investigation into its extremely poor business practice.”

“bought Lupin plants some weeks ago, received 3 separate communications advising why they would be late, that is understandable given the present situation. Sent 3 separate tickets asking that the order be cancelled and that we required a full refund for non delivery, theses were ignored. Sent a recorded delivery letter, again no response . One week after this plants delivered and are in a very poor state and in no way resemble the description on their page, have instructed my bank to instigate procedures to have my money refunded. If you are thinking of buying from this company please think again just find a drain and drop your money down it.”

“DONT TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE-Exactly the same experience all other customers below are saying , rubbish products, poor quality, tiny samples, broken -all dead within weeks. And like the other guy said-they are all over you when ordering then ignore all requests for refunds. Pathetic and immoral way to "run" a business.Cant be bothered to add photos-just know they're all rubbish!”

“One star no communication , tickets system no one answers. I am a lucky one I at least got plants delivered. A peach instead of a cherry. Over eight weeks late as a wedding anniversary present . Please no not buy off this company!!!!!!!”

HMRC are owner most of his assets”

“Rubbish. Ordered 3 months ago. Have received half the order. But by the time they'd arrived they had finished flowering. Still waiting for 3. No response from company. Have had to take issue up with credit card. Dont bother.”

“I made a complaint on the 26th may, still waiting for you to respond. I ordered 2 x10 hosta plants, what I received 4 weeks later was 2 bags of compost with dormant roots, they cost was £30 plus postage. JUST DISGUSTING. I WILL TAKE THIS MATTER TO THE SMALL CLAIMS COURT, ITS THE PRINCIPLE, IT MAY BE ONLY £30, BUT ITS MY £30.”

“Waited six weeks for my plants, no follow up communication and when arrived two of the lupins ordered are literally stalks!!! Disgusting service and quality, I would highly recommend NOT to use this company and I will never use again or recommend to anyone - TOTAL USELESS! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY”

“Don't buy from them! I waited 2 months for my plants to be delivered and when I did I only got half my order. They owe me money and I've been chasing them for over 2 weeks about it now and they are just stalling and taking as long as they can. They used to reply within 2 days when I contacted them about the delivery, but now that I am due a refund they are just ignoring me. Avoid them. The plants that I did get weren't even in good condition anyway. Awful all round.”

“Over 7 weeks to receive just part of the order. The plants are tiny and not worth the money. Some of the plants are damaged and were rammed into a box. Poor quality product and poor customer service often not even responding.”
