After reading the many bad reviews of this company I was quite worried about the order I placed with them I am very happy to record that the plants were exactly as ordered in good condition ,and well packaged I can only say well done gardening express

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They close query tickets without explanation and then ignore any follow ups. I would not recommend using this company.

My experience is exactly the same as everyone who has written bad reviews. Inordinate delay, dead and damaged plants, no communication or means of contact. Don't touch with a barge pole

Stay well away from this company, only a few plants turned up, the expensive ones did not, i have raised multi tickets as you cannot contact via phone, all you get is i have passed onto the relevant person, asked for refund but get no answer, glad i dont run my business like this as i would be bankrupt or maybe not as they take your money and send no products - i must be doing something wrong. Absolute thieves do not use !!!

Chasing refund for dead plant since July. Dreadful customer service using Covid as ongoing excuse for poor service. I am not giving up and will continue to demand a refund.

I was really hoping to write a noce review, but unfortunately can't! Iv tried contacting them to fix the problem, but also can't. iv ordered two orders from them, and although I was happy with some things, im very disappointed with others. I ordered 2x palm trees twice, 2 of them arrived and were the size advertised (1- 1 1/2 metres) but the others came, and are only about 30cm maximum! I also ordered 2x banana plants, and they were meant to be in a 1litre pot, and they came in a much smaller pot, and they again are defetnly not the size advertised, they are meamt to be 30-60cm, but id be surprised if they were 10. and one doesnt look healthy at all. Then the other plant I ordered, again meant to be in a 2 litre pot, and id say it was in a 750ml pot, and is really not good condition, and very small, I actually brought 2 of the same plants from the range last week thats in a much smaller pot, and they are much better size and condition. Very big and full, and actually cheaper. I was hoping to make more orders with them, but id be concerned as to how they would come now, especially after ordering 4 palm trees and them being completely different sizes.

Dreadful company. Bad quality, no communication whatsoever, I asked 4 times for a refund as a plant arrived damaged. I sent them pictures twice and I am still waiting after 4 months. They closed my ticket without giving any reason. If I could give 0 star, I would. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Excellent plants, and the company keeps you up to date on the progress of your order and delivery schedules. ( No surprise doorbells going at 9pm)

They are thieves and should have their trading license taken away no order received and no refund. MY ADVICE DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM if anything goes wrong you can’t contact them. Probably the Director having a good holiday and life on our money.

5 weeks delivery time, lack of communication on anything, poor produce, one product 40% Shorter than advertised, Duplication, item missing , no reply to complaints . Lovely colour Pictures bear no resemblance to product you get Just avoid this charlatan .

Ordered plants last year they were wonderful, ordered again this year one of which was wrong plant and much cheaper than one ordered, despite number of contacts they keep closing tickets without reason

I ordered a total of 5 Hydrangea plants and the box arrived damaged. 2 of the plants also suffered damage although one of them didn't look too healthy anyway, without the broken shoots and branches. I sent photos as requested and the only response was to say that holes were deliberately cut in the box corners to help protect the plants! No reference at all to the damaged plants despite further emails. Appalling and discourteous service.

If you enjoy chasing refunds and being fobbed off by ineffectual customer service staff, you've found the right place. Read the reviews and don't waste your time and money with this company. I'm still chasing delivery or refund......

I ordered a variety of plants and bulbs in April - which I received in JULY! The plants were delivered whilst I was out and left on my drive - with no calling card through door from courier. They were not in the best condition, but I persevered, planting them all in compost and adhering to usual rules when planting new plants. Acer pretty much dead and all bulbs came up blind - ALL of them! I could have cancelled the order and got them much cheaper locally had I known they would take so long and be such poor quality. I sent photos to Gardening Express complaining, received an acknowledgement that they were looking into it and will be in touch soon. And NOTHING!! They closed my complaint, without doing anything, I contacted them 5 days ago complaining they have closed my ticket without even getting back to me - it re-opened (probably as a result of my message) - and it was then closed again 2 days ago! I have used them before and never had problems - I will NEVER use them again!

Waste of time ordered plants April paid asked for refund to a charity. Closed down ticket . Never never use them advice to public never delivered

I’ve previously received plants that are ok but one plant was dead and they don’t respond to emails or ‘tickets’ for a replacement. No customer service at all. I won’t be using them again.

This company should not be allowed to trade or advertise. I ordered 3 plants on April 2nd, two arrived within a couple of weeks with the 3rd to follow. I’ve sent numerous emails with pathetic replies. They say they don’t do refunds? They don’t deliver either! It’s now September 22nd and I am still waiting for my third plant

I'm giving two stars rather than one as I did eventually get a refund as the terms when ordered were 3-5 days then after I paid they changed it to 4 weeks and it actually took 7 but I refused the plants by then as I;d bought elsewhere. Had a fight for a refund, and was pretty much ignored on their ticket system and phones and chat are switched off so you can't communicate with them, but I kept fighting, got the bank involved, and today I got £97 back plus £6 interest. Not sure if it was GE or the bank who refunded, but I have got it back so I got there in the end. So you may get lucky, some people seem to get good plants, but if you don't it's the customer services that lets them down i.e. it's next to non existent.

Very very slow delivery; badly packed; poor quality. Worst of all, there is no working customer service and you won’t get a refund for dead plants. Avoid at all costs - total rip off
