My car was run into by a third party; the damage was such that Admiral declared it a write-off. Despite policy wording around paying out “market value” and “this is so you can replace the car with one of similar age, condition, mileage and specification”, they failed to do this, and short-changed me by around £700. Have cancelled all remaining policies, referred my case to the Ombudsman, and will never again use Admiral.

Got quoted £1300 until I told them about a non fault claim (when Someone drove into my parked car) meaning I still had 3 years no claims and they put it up £800 saying I’m more of a risk!! Basically no claims bonuses are useless.. Absolute joke would never use them again!!

Scammed by an insurance scammer. Admiral was of no help and accepted the claim without even telling me for months!! Be careful!

They don't defend their customers! Use a different provider!

blatant fraudulent claim against my vehicle and Admiral did nothing at all to defend me - research and use a different Insurance provider or risk the same thing happening to you...

Was in a non-fault accident where my car was written off. Was declared not at fault in just a few days, gave all the information they needed, got a full medical report from the GP and 17 months later, I've still not a penny of the £3000 they told me I should get from the other side because they're extremely slow with contacting me or the other side. I've paid a fortune in calls to admiral. I call ever couple of days and changed my insurer a YEAR ago to Hastings (best decision ever) and still there's no progress whatsoever in my claim!

really bad customer service. They stated that there was an issue with the "Claims Underwriting data base". I had to hold the line for over 15 minutes before they stated that everyone was OK. The whole experience including the 10 minutes on-line application was far too stressful.

Absolute cowboys. Completely incompetent from start to finish when dealing with a claim. Avoid this company unless you like having your time and money wasted.

Been with Admiral for a few years and went through the usual nonsense each renewal where the price gets put up till you call and get it back to a cheaper price than the previous year. In December my wifes car got rear ended. Other party's insurance took complete responsibility and covered all costs. Admiral though it would be a good idea to charge us an additional £180 for insurance for an accident that was not our fault and cost them nothing. Total greedy scum company just looking to boost their profits. Tell me how a person is going to be involved in another accident after their car has been rear ended? Looks like it's a case of guilty until proven innocent, even then you won't get that extra cost back. Just such a greedy company.

Burglar smashed the door at my house. I have opened clame with Admiral two weeks ago. Today had to cancel my insurance because call them many times required new door. They totally ignored me every time I call them. Just told me to pay £350 access for installed new door and send company but this company explained that the door isn't cover by the insurance. Absolutely rubbish service.

I called them and asked to be connected with the legal helpline, which I have paid for, just to inquire about a minor damage while unparking and they opened a claim, although I told them I might not even claim. So they sent me a quote for AUTO-renewal £600 more expensive than this year (£1500 in total for 10 months). They are ripping me off because I am a foreigner. Really dissatisfied with admiral.

Have had nothing but problems with the admin side of Admiral. Emails take weeks to come through. Or they tell you you're insured but it turns out, due to an automatic computer function you're not actually insured for 7 months.

No problems whiled insured, although never made a claim. However after they were unable to provide me with the proof of no claims discount. Took 4 calls, much holding and almost a week for them to sort it out.

I am far from happy with Admiral Car insurance.... I have been in car accident, car has been sent to approved garage to be accessed on Wednesday 10th October and have been told today 12th October I will not find out the decision if vehicle will be fixed or written of until next Tuesday- so 1 whole week without car because they will NOT authorise a coursty Car until a decision has been made!!. Even when decision has made if they deemed it to be written off I will NOT get a coursty car !!! I work and have 2 young children that need to be dropped off at 2 different locations and picked up and had no car!!!. I have paid to have the "privilege" of a coursty car on my policy but ADMINRAL won't authorise it as it not policy. Oh but it is something they are looking into. So this helps me in my situation now how !?!?.

We received a letter saying that one of our drivers was involved in an accident and they were processing a claim against us. The details they have divulged to us (name and vehicle details, which I am sure is against GDPR policy) do not belong to anybody at the company. We called and were told to email and let customer services know and they would let us know what to do... if anything! I have sent 3 emails now and they have not acknowledged a single one apart from the automated reply that someone will contact me soon. Obviously not chasing their customers claim otherwise we should have heard by now what's going on. If this was my insurer I would avoid like the plague!
