I had to add an extra driver which while expensive, it was made easy by dial direct. They were Available online and by telephone if you needed them. Good company to deal with

Worst insurance company increased my premium without telling me , taking money from account when payment not due , will advise people to avoid at all cost

I have been with them 4 or 5 years premium increases very slightly each year. I have no complaints at the moment but we will see when I renew my vehicle or if I have an accident.

Had a phone call from dd in july 2020 saying someone had claimed i hit their , they had no registration, no name, no time, no street name, just a date. I informed them i had hit no one, had a further call 4 weeks later asking me bout incident, still no details, i told them go and do your job and find out who it is im supposed to have hit? Because there has been no incident. Never heard a thing so roll on oct for renewal, it was up by £60 so i got another deal with another insurer for a lot less and better policy online, cancelled with dd but when i tried to activate my nee policy it said I needed to phone them. They said their is a claim i didnt declare and the increase would be an extra £500 😳. I phoned dd and they said i would have to renew with them and a form would be filled in by them and sent off taking a few days to sort the mess out. Still waiting and being forced to have their insurance 😡😡😡

When you get a price from compare the market and click to buy, you are directed to the Dial Direct website. This asks you to add add-ons that are already included in the original quote. When you press the update price button, which you have to do to proceed, the price goes up. So as a result I no long have motor legal protection. Been using compare the market for years and its the first time I have seen this scam. Beware. Will go elsewhere next year.

I have to say with complete honesty .I was dubious of using dial direct...reason ...they were just so much cheaper with their quote than other on line insurance providers .I've had no issues at all with dial direct ..their web page is well settled out I fully understood what I was buying. I'm along able to manage my account on line never have to phone and listen to silly music for ages ..was able to change my car when it broke down to another car in minutes ..for me what's not to like!! 5*****

Terrible service. The customer service number was unobtainable. When I did speak to someone they didn't seem to know their job. The information was wrong. My policy was cancelled by mistake and I received several letters informing me my policy was cancelled when it wasn't. Time consuming phone calls to try and sort it out.

At a time where claims are down, burglaries are down, due to people home most of the time, My home insurance policy increased by 26.7% for renewal. I have never made a claim, no change in circumstances. ABSOLUTE ROBBERS. Needless to say I am not renewing, I need insurance against companies like Dialdirect to cover me for daylight robbery.

I obtained a quote through confused.com. Impressed by the 5* Defacto rating (!) I decided to go ahead. I changed my mind and recontacted them to say I didn't want to go ahead. They advised me there is a £38 fee for cancellation...even though cover didn't start until the following week! This is shown on the policy document they sent me but it was too late by then. The experience has left me feeling ill! I've given 1 star as they do 'appear' to be cheap and the website is fairly easy to maneuver. All in all a very stressful experience!

Have had no reason to contact them but when fixing it it up thehtheywere as good as as many and better then msot.
