Contact with the latest agent was excellent because it identified that my previous contact reporting a claim has not progressed satisfactory. I reported a third party insurer admitting liability of my accident it appears this fact has not been recorded at Direct Line even though I forwarded the third party letter admitting liability. I am also waiting the return of my £250.00 excess payment which should have been paid by the third party insurer.

Very difficult to renew. I HAD to phone for some reason. Could NEVER get through after trying for days on end. Phone cutting off numerous times. Eventually had to use the online ‘chat box’ which are never great, but eventually got the renewal sorted, or so I thought. Then overcharged from my quote. Motor Legal cover added by Dial Direct, but never asked for. Added in error apparently. Then trying to get my money back was like pulling my teeth out with blunt pliers. Operator (on those chat boxes again) refusing to honour my quote because ‘it wasn’t the sum stated on her screen’. I couldn’t prove/send copy of quote as on the chat box, although she could see I had been charged Motor Legal insurance in error. Was then cut off from the chat before I could try and rectify the situation. Gave up at this point. Worse EVER experience I’ve had in my 64 years on this planet.

Price has down for the last 2 years by roughly £40 a year. Never had to ring dial direct because of impeccable service

Unfortunately we had a fire about 3 years ago claim was handled well . Since then continued to insure with dial direct, fairly priced insurance easy renewal and peace of mind . One thing less to worry about.

My second year with Dial Direct had excellent service from them , I did query my renewal price , but was dealt with very promptly , I believe in staying with the same company so long as they loyal to you , hence my 2nd year with them
