“Can be alot cheaper.. without a black box. Doesen't feel safe or secure having a tracker”

Hi, the black box is a vital stipulation of all of our policies. We use GPS tracking to measure vital elements of the scoring. If the SmartMiles policy is not for you, we do have a wide range of other products on offer to you. ~Connor

“It's great for a new driver and keeps track on your driving one thing I don't like is the fact that when you want to come off smart miles you have to pay to take the black box off your car”

“Smartmiles is a brilliant company to go for when you're starting to drive as the insurance premium you pay is slightly less than most companies but if you're driving as you should be, having that little black box definitely pays off! Would recommend to any younger driver!”

“They have given me a score of 37 then sent me a email to give me one weeks notice to improve my driving. I drove to the best of my abilities and to no avail my score continued to stay on 37. They have now cancelled my policy and told me to pay a £45 cancellation fee and a £210 telematics fee. I am so disheartened at the results that they have given me as i hardly ever speed and they have given me a 15 on my breaking score, which horrifies me. I would never recommend this company to anyone and it has put me off getting a black box in the future. I now cannot afford new insurance to put on my car until next summer as I am a student.”

“The service was shocking, taking money out of an account that they didn't have permission to use after being told not to renew the policy. We cancelled the policy before the renewal and you still took the money.”

“This company puts young drivers first! This is my fourth year being insured with them. My insurance went down by two thirds after the first year! I also like to see my driver rating and find their communication brilliant if you have an issue with the smartbox collecting data. I have just replaced my car and they were so helpful with the process of changing over my insurance. If you don't mind having a smart box, I would definitely recommend.”

“Quick and easy to renew - I was dubious about whether my rating would have an impact on my renewal price but I was very pleasantly surprised as it was cut by 2/3!! Good to know my safe driving paid off ?”
