Worst customer service ever....promised a call back nd never received this. Tried to call again and held on for over an hour. I decided I wanted to cancel this policy due to the poor service I received and they couldn't refund my cancellation fee as I hadn't taken out other insurance...why wld you take other insurance out before u cancelled the existing one but if I had already took out insurance with another company then they would have returned the cancellation fee...total rip off..

tried to call about my policy renewal and discuss the huge increase in price after being with them for a good few years and no accidents, but they had me waiting 45 minutes until i gave up totally and move to another company

I pay well over £1000 for car insurance to be rudely told they've admitted liability on my behalf following a collision that wasn't my fault and that I'm a liar because it's just more probable that I pulled out on the other driver. So irrespective of the photographs, diagrams and statement that PROVE the other driver is in the wrong - it's 'just not probable'. Thank you 'insure the box' for extremely poor cover and appalling customer service. The decision was made to admit liability before they even asked for my evidence. Small company - cheap insurance - clearly would rather pay off the other party than fight their customers claim.

1. Far to expensive 2. Take far to long to answer the phone 3. To cancel your insurance or change address the admin premium is extremely high in comparison to other insurance companies 4. Poor customer service

DONT USE THIS COMPANY!! i was with them 10 months this was the last month i would pay to them as i paid the two months upfront. and guess what they cancelled my policy because i was behind slightly on my miles. I now have not received my no claims and lost my last two months of insurance i paid for! oah and also was very rude, the manager actually threatened me! (ANDREW) they did not send me a notice of cancellation i even called 3 weeks previous paid my miles and explained my little boy is seriously ill in hospital and told them i had not been in work much and would pay the existing miles in 4 weeks! this they claimed was fine at the time. Complete cons i cant believe how much i have paid to this company and not benefited anything i am stuck at work now an hour from home with a child in hospital and i have no insurance!!! such a coincidence they cancelled on my last payment. and yes you have to chase them to pay i have been on hold for more than an hour on many occasions and yes they do threaten to cancel the policy if the box is not fitted but they dont answer the phone so how can it be booked?? then they send the guy to a completely different address miles away. they guys commented also who fit the box stating how terrible this company is!!!!! AVOID

they didn't turn up to my telebox appointment and when I tried to find out why they didn't answer and took days to reply to my email. Then when I try rebook an appointment they take hours to answer the phone. Awful.

worst customer service ever. you have to hold the phone for hours make sure your phone is fully charged. they threaten you to cancel the policy if box is not installed in your car..and you have to chase them to get this booked. its easier to put man on the moon then getting them do something.

My insurance premium has just increased from £435 to £760 and they can't give me a reason why!!!! Worst company EVER!!!

I was driving for a year when whilst on a drive on the motorway I was hit by a truck when he tried to swop lains. He clipped the front of my car with the back of his trailer. After having my car recovered I then began with making a claim. However because where the truck hit me there is no cameras on that stretch of motorway for 5 miles either way. I also couldn't remember the registration plate of the truck because that was the last thing on my mind when the front of my car was completely obliterated. Since we couldn't find the truck I was forced to claim on my own insurance. Im a 19 year old male so you can imagine how much I didn't want to claim because of the price my insurance would be next year. My insurance then forced me into a corner saying that my car was a write off and that it couldn't be repaired. Because they told me that the only thing I could do was claim. A few days later I was then told that my insurance had to collect my car to take it to one of the garages to acces the damage to my car. How could they tell me that may car was a write off then they clearly have not even looked at the car! So because I felt like my insurance was trying to basically screw me I got a private garage to look at he pictures I took of my car and see what they think. They said they think they could fix it and that they really doubt that it is a write off. With them telling me that I rang up the insurance and asked if I could cancel my claim and get my car back. They told me that I would have to pay all the recovery cost which I understand and all the storage costs that I was never aware of. All in all it would cost me £600 just to be able to collect me car! What I'm saying is ever since I got involved with the insurance that have pushed me into a corner and forced me to go with them. For any young drives going with insure the box because they are the cheapest, don't! The customer service is terrible because no body knows what's going on! I actually hate this insurance company!

don't go with this insurance , they scam u as soon as u have used up your miles u have to buy them its stupid i move house and never took in consideration that its 25 mins drive to my work place so i had a 6000 miles policy with them then i needed about 10000 and i ended up paying even m0ore money out do not get scammed by this company

This company are lying thieving scammed who are a bunch of rip off's I had an insurance with this company 3 months ago and after 3 months had finished I had a email saying that you have done 4500 miles in 2 months and you have 1500 miles left I was shocked therefore I rang them yet they never answered until you keep on trying they picked up and told me that you have droven nearly 6000 miles and that means this that this company is not a 1 year insurance therefore you are only paying for milage and what got me even more angry was is that they made me stay on the phone having a conversation for more than 2 hours and they are very rood and unpleasant when talking to you I had to pay nearly £1200 per year but when I found out that I payed £1200 for only 3 months I told them to cancel my insurance but then I said I would like to speak to my husband and then she said OK and when I had a word with my husband I asked how much do I pay for more milage and she said my insurance is cancelled I told her what is this joke I told you to hold and she said they can't do anything and I onlly payed £1200 for 3 months is outrageous don't take insurance from this company plz tell family and friends to save them from this family the box they fit is a cheating box what I don't understand is how did I get 6000 miles in e months when my dashboard said I had only done 2000 miles I hope you stay away from this company .this company should close

Worst insurance company ever. Today I cancelled my policy. I had 6000 miles policy which I drove in about 8 months. On cancellation I was charged £300 because according to them I was over the limit on pro rata basis even though I had around 200 miles left. This was not told me when I took the policy. Just wanted to take money in every possible way. And they have worst customer service . I had to call them 10 times to cancel my policy. Never ever take their policy

would give 0 star if I could, been with them for 6 months, had to change address due to moving houses and my insurance increased from 105 per month to £300+, so annoyed, wished I listened to the reviews before!! terrible! would never refer to anyone even an enemy! I am fuming

I have been with Insure the box for 6 years, I only drive max 4000 miles a year, 10 years NCB, no convictions, safe address on private drive etc. Last year my premium was £ 345. My renewal premium for this year is £ 1065 with no changes at all to report...an increase close to 250%... When I spoke to Chris from Insure the box he said that he did not know why himself and that (from the box in my car) all was good with my driving and that it must be (maybe) sensitive information, (maybe) re-rating on the side of the company. Needless to say that I am now insured with another company for £ 365 for the year.

Been with this company for 3 years my last yr quote was 426 pound the yr 2015 drove under 3k miles when loud 6k miles next quote was 748 pound and they carnt tell me why so good bye

Everything was great at the start as it always is they want your money don't they..? Had to make a windscreen claim (crack running from drivers side to the centre) They put me through to auto windscreens then problems started. Was told they would get back to me next day. Came and went no contact. Phoned the third day, told the same. No contact so waited over the weekend. Again no contact phoned insurance they washed their hands of the issue and put me through to auto windscreens. I explained to auto windscreen the crack was in line of sight etc. They gave me an appointment a month away. I was disappointed in the lack of communications and the bad service which was initially good. Insurethebox said if I went elsewhere they would not pay out more than £130. I paid for the replacement myself via auto glass. I like how the customer service team also advised on the glass without seeing the damage.

Car was stolen. No problem we thought - they can track it! No. First they need a crime ref number form the police, not a CAD number which you get when you report a theft. Took 3 days to get a meeting with the police and get a crime reference number so even though they knew the car had been stolen they wouldn't track it. Personally I would have thought the moment it was reported they should track it??? Suffice to say 3 weeks later we can get no information from them at all. Total rubbish, no customer service skills and evidently flawed technology. Do not use!

I wouldn't use this company. I had insurance with them for a few months. I stopped using my car for a couple of weeks and once i wanted to drive it again it wouldn't start. I took it to the garage and have been advised that the box was so poorly fitted that it was draining the power from my battery. I have cancelled the insurance with them and the garage removed the box, as i needed to use my car when i want either i drive it everyday or not. I have complained to them, claimed compensation for me spending money on taxis and the garage costs, but was treated really poor, the company would blame it all on the garage saying it's their problem, they just covered everything with a bunch of lies. The garage is very respectful and they weren't happy of such accusations. Insure the box just washed their hands after i have provided everything they wanted and wasted a lot of time on this issue. DO not use them spend an extra £20 on insurance than having all this hustle and having to waste money on repairs as your battery would be drained
