“I am ill at the moment and very kind people have sent me flowers over the space of a few months. All the flowers from Marks and Spencer’s have arrived in poor condition. All wilting. No attempt has been made to keep them looking good. I compIained the first time and received a new bunch which were almost as bad. I feel bad for complaining about these gifts but really can’t they improve???”

“Flowers arrived in a very poor condition obviously kept without water for a long time so disappointed as they were for my birthday not the first time that had a bad experience with M&S online flowers will never use them again.A refund is no consolation.”

“Flowers for daughter's 21st arrived at 9pm in nearly dead condition. They travelled for 10 hours and were drop off 149. Would not recommend”

“Absolutely disgusted and disappointed I was sent flowers for my retirement came no water and dried out. Fully opened and already turning brown. Would of been Really Gorgeous and very expensive gift if they had arrived as they should. Also I then had to lie to my friends and thank them for my gorgeous flowers so they weren’t upset which upset me too. 😢”

“Magic times rose bouquet was sent to my friend on the occasion of her birthday remembering all our happy memories together over the years. This bouquet won’t be one of them! Despite her best flower arranging efforts she couldn’t keep them alive for a few days even. As we are the best of friends she felt it only right to inform me so that I didn’t purchase on line flowers again. Very,very disappointed. Also sad that M&S don’t respond to the critique and express some concern about their disappointing performance. 😢😢”

“Just received delivery of flowers from Marks & Spencer as a Thankyou from my sister. Arrived limp and in poor condition. Some of the flowers were already brown and dying. Second bad experience with m&s flowers in 2 months as valentines flowers had to be returned as when unpackaged were broken and dying and not prepared to pay £40 for them! DONT buy flowers from M&S unless you need disappointment in your life!”

“Very poor service, you can't change any details 30mins after ordering. I then booked for the flowers to a commercial store & they then left them outside on a high street at 20:11 after the store had closed in full site of restaurants, pubs & easy to see. I drove over immediately, yet they had already been taken (or where never delivered on the 1st place). They claimed the flowers were left on front porch, yet the store doesn't have a porch! Horrid service, I'd never use again BEWARE”

“I have just received some flowers from my niece in Australia they are dried out, one is broken and two are beyond limp! I now face the dilemma of thanking my niece for her kind and expensive gesture or telling her the truth!”

“Sister sent me some orchids from M&S they arrived incomplete, so was to recieve another the next day , they did not arrive till two days later still incomplete with buds falling off and leaves discoloured and dry , my sister was upset as it was her gift to me on the passing of my daughter .”

“It was my birthday this week and the day after I opened my front door to find a M&S bouquet left on the doorstep. The flowers were half dead but I felt embarrassed to tell my friend who sent them. Next day another friend telephoned me and asked if I liked the flowers she sent. I told her I hadn’t received any flowers and she said they were delivered at 11.00 a.m. I looked outside my front door and there were the flowers which had been sitting there for four hours in the sun. I was so angry I telephoned M&S and complained asking why the delivery man couldn’t ring my doorbell and there is no secure place outside my house to leave packages. They said they would deal with the couriers and would I accept another bouquet. The bouquet was supposed to be delivered between 12.45 and 1.45. At 11.45 I opened my front door to water some plants and, yes you’ve guessed, the bouquet was sitting on my doorstep. The courier couldn’t be bothered to ring the doorbell. I have again complained to M&S and have asked my friends not to send me any more M&S flowers”

“Received these flowers from a friend as a thank you gift. If I could have given them zero stars I would have. They were delivered by Yodel, they had no water and were all so limp and wilting they were only good for the bin. I rang to complain and was told a replacement would be sent the next day - which they were at 5.15pm and I was given a £5 voucher (which I had to ask for as it wasnt offered). When the second bunch arrived they were only slightly better. The roses were all fully open, all but two of them were brown on the edges and the remaining flowers were wilting. It ruined what was a thoughtful gift from a friend and, after this experience, I would never use M&S for flowers and would never recommend them to anyone. For an organisation that prides itself on quality their flowers are a disgrace.”

“Ordered a bouquet for a colleague who had lost her dad. Heart sank when I saw the courier was yodel. Flowers due for delivery between 4 and 6pm. Finally delivered at 19.52 pm, nearly 24 hours after leaving the warehouse. Flowers limp and sad looking. M and S couldn’t care less. Don’t buy from them!! Go elsewhere!”

“Family in America ordered Easter Bloom Bouquet which I received at 18.15 on 14 April, delivery box stated despatch date 13 April don’t know if this means had been in box 24 hours without any water. On opening box flowers looked dead, took off a lot of dead foliage, put immediately in water along with the flower food supplied this did help a little but two bunches of the miniature yellow roses had to go straight in the bin. Very poor quality, even the flowers that survived the delivery have now gone in the bin (5 days) extremely disappointed.”

“My daughter bought me two bunches of beautiful orange roses last Friday. By Sunday, most were dead. Two days?? And it’s not the first time. Some weeks ago, friends bought me similar roses. They lasted three days I would not recommend buying flowers from M & S”

“Have had 2 bunches of flowers delivered for my mum 80th birthday what a great disappointment the first lot delivered on Friday were smashed by the chocolate in the box and was in desperate need of a drink of water but having put them in water as of instruction they are not dead or dropping after 3 days , the bunch delivered on Saturday were again in desperate need of a drink but the roses were already dying and now after 2 day are nearly dead and have a horrible smell with them as these are present of people I will be telling people not to get flower from marks and spencer they are a rip off and a disgrace........plus no nice card in the flower to say who they were from..........”

“On the upside the correct flowers were delivered on the right day and the refund I asked for subsequently was made immediately. On the downside, the flowers in the bouquet, which was for my wife’s birthday, were tired and drooping when they arrived, and , although they were placed in water immediately, quickly deteriorated further. I would never buy flowers from Marks this way again and would strongly advise others not to. One star is generous!”
