I cancelled my insurance due to health issues. There was still 8 months left on policy but I was informed there was no refund, having paid over £200 premium there WAS a refund of £66.97. However I was then charged £62.00 cancellation fees leaving £4.71 but MCE do not give refunds under £5.00 so they have kept the lot. I WILL NOT BE USING THIS COMPANY AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

Have just wasted the last twenty minutes of my life, to be told that I can't be given car insurance by them because my car is standard, I don't have any endorsements and I'm not a criminal struggling to get insured anywhere else.

DO NOT USE! They are thiefs! I payed for a full year insurance when i was unemployed. Later i became a cheff and they told me to pay over £100 extra so i did. Then i became unemployed again called them up to update thinking they might give money back. They said to pay another £100 plus. I was joining work soon so i told them no im going to employer again in a few days they said to show proof within 7 days. I showed them proof but they cancelled my insurance when i had more then 6/7 months left. No money back because my proof was not sufficiant enough for them. Also i called them saying i can show you another document they say its too late. A person was busy they had no understanding and they have the courage to ask me if i want to buy another brand new insurance off them. Secondly i had a claim which i won £1750 because they cancelled my insurance they took all of thAt as a fee.

I set up my insurance online as I've done for many years later and 1 month later they charge me a default fee on the first payment. Apparently they don't do direct debits anymore and you have to call them to give them your card number even though this isn't stated at any time in the sign up process. Use another insurer as MCE are not worth the hassle.

Wanted to add delivery insurance onto my exciting policy. Was told I would have to pay to cancel the policy I had just opened and then open a new policy. Very rude. Ended the chat preemptively and I won't be returning as a customer.

PRICE INCREASE, NOT JUSTIFIED UNSUBSCRIBE ME, AS I WILL NOT BE RENEWING WIH MCE AGAIN, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

I will not be back next year, customer service was rubbish, premium went up because of tiny differences in policy cover, ie. the premium did not take into account that the bike has cctv recording 24/7 or that someone is at home all night.

Waited until I had confirmation of payment before contacting MCE,regarding not having received policy documents.It then came to light that the policy I had taken out with them was in my sons name (he had scooter insurance with them 16 years ago when he was 16 and living at home,now married with 2 kids and a mortgage ).policy details and 18 PENCE CHARGED TO MY CARD ! ! it's obviously not the amount ,but the principle,it was their admin. error.Made my feelings known but 'my manager ' insisted the wanted their 18p !

I've been with them two years, the policy keeps going up and every time I had to change a little thing like the the possibility of carrying pillions, whatever that was, is another £300 to pay.

At first I was given a ridiculous price with not much difference in price. When I did not renew I asked if something could be done about the price. He did but not much. Next couple of calls they were persistent. One day I could get more than 6calls,sometime even after discussing my renew with someone another person called... It felt like I was being chased most of times I had to ignore the calls or even silent it.

I am trying to change my motorcycle insurance and have been on hold for over 25 minutes and still on hold. When I call on another phone and say I am a new customer I get get through to a operator with in seconds.

If I could give no stars I would. Shocking customer service, just get the run around all the time when it comes to trying to make a claim. Very quick at taking your money though.

I have been aregular customer for a number of years now but when I called about my renewal I was shocked by the SALESMAN S quote..from 160 last year..to 360 this year...said insurances going up 40 to 50 %..never been brilliant at maths but I reckon that would be about an extra 80 ish..when I stopped him there that paying 360 was not going to happen he did the I ll talk to the manager malarkey..i ve sold been in sales myself and know what this means...he came back with 210 which I grumblingly accepted because I could nt be bothered to look elsewhere.... I shall be shopping around next year for sure...this has certainly tainted my relationship with mce as I have had great service in the past

I recently lost my bank card which I had to replace and didn’t realise the monthly payment was tied to the card and not my bank account . I rang straight away this morning and because it was a day late they charged me thirty pounds . The woman I spoke to Rebeca was very unwilling to wave it and not very helpful for this reason I will never use them again and will be changing next year so be warned they like to take your money .
