89yo Mother had a pipe leak in bathroom - wall floor and shower needed replaced. As I live a long way away - chose to have coop contractors......really bad decision!!! Dealing with 8 companies - most are cowboys and sent from long way away - why not use local suppliers! Workmanship awful too - despite coop admitting they messed up they are dodging payments! Coop people sound nice but basic incompetence and attitude negates any advice expectation! 40 yrs loyalty and no claims by Mother counts for nothing!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

After being robbed out of a ridiculous price of £1850 for my insurance policy, 6 months in with a black box, they are charging me an extra £100 even though I've been driving exactly the same way as I have throughout the course of the policy. Will 100% be going to another insurance provider on my renewal date. They may offer the cheapest price but it will end up costing more than the next cheapest company when they charge you more money after every 3 months review.

We have a on going claim with Co Op & they are trying there best not 2 pay us out. Due 2 the hosue being flooded co op offered 2 pay 4 the accommodation but after paying 4 grand out of my own pocket for 2 weeks 4 a apartment & co op said payment will reach us in 5 working days & now they have put the claim on hold & r refusing 2 pay out. I would serously becareful before taking out a home insurance with co op & if u do because they r cheap then make sure u read the policy

Renewal sent through post was significantly more expensive then the quote they sent me online, and also more expensive then I'd payed in previous years with them. Phoned to see if they would honour the online quote but they wouldn't. What is the point in giving quotes online if you won't honour them? Found a much better deal cheaper elsewhere. Make sure you don't auto renew with these people, as you could be stung by a pretty big price increase.

Totally let down, tried to upload my NCD to site, Did what was asked, infomed a week later asking where is it. emailed it back..told email not good, rang informed of issue. Was told I needed sell by date of NCD info. Rang previous insurer they contaced me back in four days. Too late insurance canceled by Coop. Had topay £150 to re-insure with Coop! out of pocket no customer support or help or guidance. Feel like I have been to a restaurant and paid for a meal and no food turned up!

Took out young persons car insurance 8 months ago and needed a black box in car no problem I thought, I advise anyone not to take out a cooperative policy it is a con to get extra money from you. For the first few months my driving scores are good then they started to come down even though I was driving no different. My dad even drove my car for a weekend and could not improve scores and he is a professional driver. It seems the closer to renewal you get the lower your dashboard scores so that they can charge you more to recover car after first year. And now they want to stop my policy because apparently I have done 112mph in a corsa, really top speed is only 108mph and I had 3 passengers and a full boot I don't think so, no reply emails and talking to customer services is a waste of time.Just a con please don't insure if your are a new driver find someone else

be very careful if you have a lot of no claims bonus when you insure with the coop - they will only recognise 9 years and if you don't renew with them they will only send out proof of no claims of 9 years - I joined them with 11 years and they sent me proof of no claims with only 9 years - and would not change this despite hours spent on the phone with them - this obviously has serious financial implications when you come to renew with another provider.

Unfortunately i have car insurance with them, customer service after making a claim was appalling, they don't seem to have the basic tools to attempt communicating with their customers. They are full of pathetic excuses and do not take complaints seriously. Do not recommend them at all, will be cancelling as soon as possible.

Unable to complete on-line, had to phone and was charged more. Promised £50 Co-Op vouchers as first time customer - never arrived. Kept promising. I am first time car insurance buyer-however they did not explain this did not apply as I had home insurance with them. They should have explained this if this was the reason. No one did!

Worse company ive ever come across in my 50 years of living. They cancelled my policy for no reason. I made a claim as someone tried to steal my car. They refused to pay out and refused to provide us with a courtesy car. As well as deleting calls i made with them. Im taking them to financial ombudsmen. Stay clear.

Three weeks after we paid, Co-op cancelled our home insurance as we had "too many previous claims recorded with CUE" which we hadn't told them about. My wife had phoned the previous insurer a few times in the past for advice and every time it was recorded as a £ 0.00 claim. Co-op customer service not helpful, stubbornly insisting that if we phone the insurance for advice we are a potential risk.

Co op refused to pay out on a straight forward buildings insurance claim. Having to take them to court to get money back.

Appalling service after RTA. Misinformation given on telephone. Have not even bothered getting back to me with a price for my vehicle, put the car on the back of a tow truck which I had to climb up on to retrieve my possessions. I am quite astonished at their attitude and incompetence having dealt with other companies who treat their customers with respect. AVOID.

God help you if you are involved in an traffic accident with one of their policyholders. Their policy holder is 100% to blame but will they cover our losses properly? NO!

My mother’s house and contents was insured with coop, sadly she passed away in July, I paid the house insurance in full after my mother’s death as one of the executives to the will so the house would continue to be insured until it’s sold, all I asked for was a receipt of payment to take to the solicitors to show it’s paid, 4 times I’ve phoned and been promised this will be sent, to date nothing, I don’t mind if it’s emailed posted, still nothing just take the money and run it seems.

We had a water leak in the bath room, which led to water coming through the kitchen ceiling, I repaired the ceiling, but after a few months the floor boards in the kitchen started to warp. We Put in a claim to our co op house insurance. An insurance assessor came to our house and led us to believe it was a straight forward claim (he may of done this to get tea and biscuits). Then the co op insurance rang us to say there was not enough evidence of a water leak and they would not pay out. So the moral of the story is: Do not be honest with the co op, or better still, don't waste your money on co op insurance. 7 October 2017 John mccullagh

Where has the co-op gone wrong, being established for so many years you would think they would understand what there customers want from a company with such a rich history.I suppose the big fancy new offices in manchester city centre need paying for, such a shame my experience on young driver insurance was such a disappointment, company needs to look back on its founding members and its ethics,i wouldn't even go in one of there grocery shops now.so so sad
